  1. God Nido Red guide
  2. *Disclaimer*
  3. Some of my preferences are not necessarily beginner friendly to finishing runs, there is a beginners guide by Exarion that has safer ranges to enter fights. My preferences will reflect what I think to be fair risks when going for a decent time.
  4. There is a variant of this route called the risky strat that changes at Silph, you can view that here if you want to save 10 seconds: http://pastebin.com/a9KCyV9z
  5.
  6.
  7.
  8. Set options to fast and animations off
  9. Nickname Rival and Yourself a 1 character name
  10. Start: Pick Squirtle(Middle ball)
  11. Nickname Squirtle a 1 character name
  12.
  13. Rival 1:
  14. Bulbasaur: Tail whip, Tackle till dead (use tail whip turn 2 if you get growl turn 1)
  15.
  16. Route 1: Kill 1 encounter, preferably l2/3 pidgey or rattata (if l3 pidgey early I prefer running if I know my attack is low)
  17.
  18. Shopping: 3-8 Pokeballs (vary based on goals/yoloball confidence)
  19.
  20. God Nido Manip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPzSWHyMuW8
  21. Harder nido manip but saves precious frames: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iOx592-xhU&index=1&list=PLQpdNvoYOPZwI489aQ3Q3thsXUoJQh99X
  22. Stats are: 13 15 15 14 15 (if you want to reference red helper)
  23.
  24. Forest: http://wiki.pokemonspeedruns.com/index.php/Pok%C3%A9mon_Red/Blue/Viridian_Forest_Movement
  25. I would enter the next fight at 8 hp+
  26. Weedle Guy:
  27. Weedle: Tail Whip x2, Tackle until dead (Poison sting does 3 dmg, 5 dmg with a crit), poison 1 dmg
  28.
  29. Depending on hp/poison, menu after the fight or in the house after forest.
  30. Menu: Switch nidoran to squirtles slot, then potion if below 14 hp
  31.
  32. Brock:
  33. Geodude: Switch out, Bubble x2/3 if you hit 7 hp during geodude, potion unless you're going to kill on that turn
  34. Onix: Repeat, Bubble x2/3 Tackle does 6, if bide, tail whip until ends
  35.
  36. At this point Nidoran becomes the main
  37.
  38. Mart: Pause to eliminate the turn frame, option and switch battle style to set
  39. Buy: 7-10 potions depending on how much safety you want
  40.
  41. Route 3
  42.
  43. 1st Bug Catcher (Note you are speedtied until you receive 1 string shot on this fight, there are multiple outcomes, it is difficult to 2 hit the first caterpie without getting a stringshot, but it is possible)
  44. Caterpie: Leer, HAx2(+a tackle)
  45. Weedle: leer, HAx2(can HA+ tackle with proper rolls or string shot)
  46. Caterpie: leer, HAx2
  47.
  48. Go into the next fight with ~26 hp
  49. Shorts Guy (Note that you want to avoid situations where you're potioning on ekans, but if you would cause a heal loop on rattata it's obviously not worth it)
  50. Rattata: Leer, HAx2 (qa 8-9, after tail whip you want to be above 16)
  51. Ekans: Leer, HAx2 (wrap does 3, 4 with a tail whip or crit, if low hp just heal on the 2nd turn of wrap to avoid chaining)
  52.
  53. 2nd Bug Catcher (note on 1 string shot you're slower than caterpie but still faster than kakuna, x2 string shot speed ties last Metapod)
  54. Weedle: HA x2
  55. Kakuna HA x3(possibly need to tackle turn 4)
  56. Caterpie: HA x2 (tackle does 3 if you're managing red bar)
  57. Metapod: HA x2, Tackle (HA x3 if speed tied+ possible tackle)
  58.
  59. 3rd Bug Catcher
  60. Caterpie: HA x2 (tackle does 3 if you're managing red bar)
  61. Metapod: HA x3-4
  62.
  63. Go under the lass in the grass to catch pidgey or spearow, HA l8 pidgey, poison sting l5 spearow, tackle everything else
  64. (if x3-4 ball strats, can go for tackle on l5 spearow, range to kill)
  65.
  66. Take Center before Mt. Moon
  67.
  68. Mt. Moon
  69. http://i.imgur.com/F91yw13.png (ignore water gun path in blue)
  70.
  71. If you want to gain l30 for Oddish and l21 before Mankey guy, you need to acquire 138xp in Moon, given there's such a short amount of time walked you can't really be picky with your encounters, but this is generally safer later in the run and removes a slightly favorable range that can end your run.
  72.
  73. Fight Nerd and Lass
  74.
  75. Nerd:
  76. Magnemite: HA x2, PS (if 2 low rolls, HA again)
  77. Voltorb: HAx2, (ps if it lives, can 2 hit voltorb with screech turn 1 or screech turn 2, AI always goes for screech turn 2)
  78.
  79. Lass:
  80. Oddish: HA x2 (PS if it lives)
  81. Bellsprout: HA x2
  82.
  83. You will evolve to Nidorino here
  84.
  85. Mt. Moon Manip:
  86. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P87jJkR8CyY Reference this for the general path and inputs by Mumpfel77
  87. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RniyLd7g_LU&t Reference this variant if you plan to do paras yoloball, it is the same as Mumpfel's Mt. Moon manip up until the end (you should use this if you're going for x3-4 poke ball strats)
  88.
  89. After yoloballing paras: Moon Stone to evolve into Nidoking
  90.
  91. Rocket:
  92. Rattata: HA, PS
  93. Zubat: HA x2 (can PS if high enough roll, but very unlikely)
  94.
  95. Nerd:
  96. Grimer: HAx2
  97. Voltorb: HA, PS
  98. Koffing: HAx2, PS (can 2 hit with horn attack, normally can finish off with poison sting unless 2 low rolls)
  99.
  100. Pick up Helix fossil and proceed to the end.
  101.
  102. Center in Cerulean and then proceed to grab the rare candy behind the house http://i.imgur.com/nlHoFd8.png
  103.
  104. Nugget Bridge:
  105.
  106. Rival 2: (Note if you get no xp in Mt. Moon, pidgeotto is a range at 17 and Bulbasaur can not die if 2 low rolls. Furthermore, if you get Sand attack from pidgeotto, consider switching out if you're trying to play safe once you've hit your 2nd horn attack. Risk is generally worth it if you're going for a decent time)
  107. Pidgeotto: HA x3
  108. Abra: HA
  109. Rattata: HA, PS
  110. Bulbasaur: HA x2
  111.
  112. Bug Catcher:
  113. Caterpie: HA, PS
  114. Weedle: HA, PS (~80% range to kill)
  115.
  116. Lass 1: (Stay in if Sand attack)
  117. Pidgey: HA, PS qa does 5
  118. Nidoran: HAx2 scratch does 3
  119.
  120. Youngster:
  121. Rattata: HA (range at 19) qa does 5-6
  122. Ekans: HA, PS (60% range)
  123. Zubat: HA
  124.
  125. Lass 2: (Stay in if Sand attack)
  126. Pidgey: HA, PS qa does 5-6
  127. Nidoran: HAx2 scratch does 4
  128.
  129. Mankey Guy: (Note, if you're low health, karate chop will deal 13-15 dmg, if you want to manipulate a chance for red bar here, Mankey also dies to leer, HA)
  130. Mankey: HA, PS(unless HA low roll)
  131.
  132. After Mankey, rare candy x2 to 23 and teach thrash over poison sting (if you got moon experience, you will rare candy before Mankey guy to 23)
  133.
  134. Rocket:
  135. Ekans: Thrash
  136. Zubat: Thrash
  137.
  138. Misty split:
  139.
  140. With this nidoking you will fight the top hiker
  141.
  142. Hiker:
  143. Machop: Thrash
  144. Geodude: Thrash x2-3 depending on crit(tackle does 4 dmg from geodude and if you get confused from thrash in red bar it is advantageous to switch out to squirtle, this does not mess up your experience curve if you skipped moon xp. If you got moon xp, this will take away l30 for oddish. Note if you're high hp and thrash will kill, feel free to stay in as you might get red bar or it will be faster than switching)
  145.
  146. Pick up the Elixer above the hiker if you didn't use your antidote(right 2 and up to the wall
  147.
  148. Lass:
  149. Nidoran-M: Thrash
  150. Nidoran-F: Thrash
  151.
  152. Jr Trainer:
  153. Rattata: Thrash (qa from rattata does 5)
  154. Ekans:Thrash
  155.
  156. Lass #2
  157. Oddish: Thrash
  158. Pidgey: Thrash (qa from pidgey does 5)
  159. Oddish: Thrash
  160.
  161. If you used your antidote, pick up the ether on the wall space right of Lass#2
  162.
  163. Talk to Bill, then menu to heal to around 47-60 and escape rope out of Bill's house and proceed to Misty's gym
  164.
  165. Jr. Trainer:
  166. Golden: Thrashx2
  167.
  168. Misty: (note this fight if you want to play it safe, save and heal to full. 47 even after peck will level up to be out of water gun crit range and bubblebeam from Starmie, with manip Nido we are faster and want to manipulate low health for the upcoming Surge split to ensure fly split red bar. If you don't 2 hit due to Starmie x defending, feel free to switch out and let slave die to live, or risk it if your time is bad)
  169. Staryu:Thrash
  170. Starmie:Thrashx2
  171.
  172. Following Misty's gym, head to the house for dig and fight the Rocket
  173. Rocket:
  174. Machop: Thrash
  175. Drowzee: Thrash
  176.
  177. Pick up the hidden full restore in the underground path: http://www.smogon.com/oi/rby_item_10.png
  178. Make sure to buffer your a input when you go to pick it up to skip the hidden item jingle
  179.
  180. After you take steps through the grass to the next trainer, consider potioning if below 15 hp for the next fight and teach bubblebeam, and heal if below 8 for the next one. Make sure to potion after the grass to possibly run away from an encounter in red bar. If you are below 15 and can tank a raticate qa, consider fighting the male trainer first by approaching him from behind to make the most of red bar.
  181.
  182. Jr. Trainer(F)
  183. Pidgey: Thrash (qa does 5)
  184. Pidgey: Thrash
  185. Pidgey: Thrash
  186.
  187. Jr. Trainer(M)
  188. Spearow: Thrash
  189. Raticate: Thrash (qa does 5-7)
  190.
  191. Stop by the mart on the way to SS Anne
  192. Sell TM 34 and the Nugget and then by 3 repels. If you are on 3 pokeball strats or are out of pokeballs, sell just the nugget.
  193.
  194. I prefer being between 20-30 hp for this fight, so if you kept red bar through the jr. trainers and are below 20 hp, potion and teach bubblebeam over tackle(move 2) before rival. If you are above 20 hp going into raticate, BBx2 to attempt to take more damage, if below 20, start your thrash early. If you haven't taught bubblebeam just horn attack instead.
  195. Anne Rival:
  196. Pidgeotto: BBx2 or HAx2 (if sand attack turn 1, switch out and let a slave die) (qa does 7-8)
  197. Raticate: Thrash or BBx2 or HAx2 (qa does 5-6, and hyper fang crit does up to 21, 11-12 normally)
  198. Kadabra: Thrash
  199. Ivysaur: Thrashx2 (vine whip does 8-9) If you get confused on the ivysaur, consider switching and letting a slave die.
  200.
  201. Talk to the captain to receive HM01 cut.
  202.
  203. Leave Anne and head to Surge's gym, before the cut tree make sure to menu:
  204. *Teach Tm11 Bubblebeam over tackle if you haven't yet (move 2)
  205. Go down to items, switch slot 1 items with repels(2nd from bottom)
  206. Teach cut to paras(1 up)
  207. Teach TM28 dig(3 up) also to paras
  208. exit out of items and go cut the tree to Surge's gym
  209.
  210. Save on the tile right after the tree and reference this manip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqY-8Wa2q_4
  211.
  212. If you are below 20 hp entering surge, generally you will yolo this fight and just thrash the voltorb(you are a 10% chance to die if above 4 hp) this can go wrong and you can die if you get sonicboom. If you want to play it safe, heal to above 20(preferably out of sonicboom+qa range) and BB voltorb twice. If you are going for red bar for the fly split, yolo the voltorb if below 20 regardless, if you're health is so low you will be in range of dying to pikachu, generally still go for it though it is a 37.5% to die. This is all relevant to your goal, and current pace in regards to reaching your goal. If you're at less than 4 hp, heal unless you need the time to meet your goal. Be aware if you have moon xp you will level on voltorb, which gives you 3 hp which can put you out of qa range if necessary.
  213.
  214. Surge:
  215. Voltorb: BBx2, or Thrash (sonicboom can deal 20)
  216. Pikachu: Thrash (qa does 4, 6-7 on crit)
  217. Raichu: Thrash x2 (if you get confused by not getting 4 turn thrash, switch out to squirtle if you want to be safe)
  218.
  219. Exit the gym and head to house above Surge's gym and get the bike voucher, dig out with paras to Cerulean and get the bike from the bike shop.
  220.
  221. Menu:
  222. Bag, switch slot 2 item with bicycle (bottom of bag)
  223. Teach tm24 thunder bolt over leer(move 3)
  224. Get on bike
  225.
  226. Head to 4 turn thrash bitch(I mean girl)
  227.
  228. Killer of runs: *generally in this fight I prefer to just yolo if I get confused on bellsprout, you can switch out and back in but you risk sleep powder and wrap shenanigans and lose massive amounts of time. I find it generally worth it to go for it versus the potential time loss of switching out*
  229. Oddish: Thrash
  230. Bellsprout: Thrash
  231. Oddish: Thrash
  232. Bellsprout: Thrash (if you get confused, you can horn attack to kill bellsprout)
  233.
  234. Bug Catcher:
  235. Caterpie: Thrash
  236. Weedle: Thrash
  237. Venonat: Thrash
  238.
  239. Repel a few steps before entering rock tunnel. Reference this map: http://wiki.pokemonspeedruns.com/index.php/Pok%C3%A9mon_Red/Blue/Rock_Tunnel
  240. *I highly recommend practicing this in isolation when you are a new runner, I see many new runners hit optional trainers in here and just a short practice session can save you a minute on a run in this section alone*
  241.
  242. If you were high health after Surge, i.e. ~30, consider getting bone club from Cubone for Red bar, if you are around 20, go for slowpoke confusion. Without moon xp you will not level before oddish girl, and would prefer to have 6 hp for Oddish, but depending on your goals, you can go for lower red bar here if that is your only option. You will level twice before Pokemon Tower rival, so going for confusion at high healths can result in you leveling out.
  243. Nerd #1:
  244. Cubone: BB Bone club(20-23)
  245. Slowpoke: TB Confusion(15-17)
  246.
  247. Nerd #2:
  248. Slowpoke: TB
  249.
  250. Oddish Bitch(I mean girl)
  251. Oddish: Thrashx1-2 (if you are without moon xp, you are l29 for this oddish and only have a 55% range to kill, you can get stun spore or sleep powder than can end the run. At l30 this range is guaranteed. If you get paralyzed by oddish and live, use your full restore on the next repel menu and continue)
  252. Bulbasaur: Thrash
  253.
  254. Use your 2nd repel around the yellow tile on 2F in the rock tunnel image
  255. Use your 3rd repel before the hiker that you fight on the map
  256.
  257. Hiker:
  258. Geodude: BB
  259. Geodude: BB
  260. Graveler: BB
  261.
  262. Lass:
  263. Meowth: Thrash
  264. Oddish: Thrash
  265. Pidgey: Thrash (qa does 5)
  266.
  267. Head through Lavender town and head to Celadon, fight the bottom trainer, the male gambler
  268.
  269. Gambler:
  270. Growlithe: Thrash or BB (thrash is a 85% chance to kill, if you are on really low red bar, you can consider bubblebeam which is guaranteed though slower)
  271. Vulpix: Thrash (qa can do 4)
  272.
  273. Head straight to the Celadon mart through the underground path, pick up the elixer on the way
  274. Reference: http://pokeworld.herokuapp.com/rb/121#2,5) the bottom square is the one you're looking for, it is approximately 4.5 seconds into the bike music. I recommend practicing this a little when you first start to minimize time spent looking for the elixer.
  275.
  276. Celadon Mart:
  277. Enter from the right and head to the 2nd floor
  278.
  279. Buy: TM07 from the right cashier and then buy super repel x10 and super potion x2 from the right cashier in that order
  280. head back towards the stairs, if you saw the girl head up on your way over the counter, make sure to take the bottom path as she can block you from passing up top.
  281.
  282. Go up to floor 4 and buy Poke Doll x1
  283. head up to floor 6, buy Fresh water x1, Soda pop x1 and exchange them for TM 13 ice beam, and tm 48 rockslide on your way back to the stairs buy another fresh water
  284. head back down to floor 5 and buy X Acc x11, X spec x6, x spd x4 (this can change depending on risky strat and other factors such as how many beginning items you buy) the minimum is 10/4/4 if you need the money for 8 balls/10 potions early. I enjoy the utility of 6 x spec as I can x spec on Agatha later, and save an extra x spec for possible Silph bar.
  285.
  286. Take the elevator to 1F and head over to the fly house.
  287.
  288. *Fly Menu* (it's in asterisks it's so cool)
  289.
  290. Swap slot 2 items with super repels
  291. Teach tm07 horn drill over horn attack (1up)
  292. Use a super repel
  293. Switch slot 3 items with x accuracies
  294. Teach HM02 Fly to your flier
  295. Scroll up to TM48 Rock Slide and teach it over Bubblebeam(up 5)
  296. Then fly to Lavender (3 down)
  297.
  298. If your health can tank a qa, lead TB on pidgeotto, if you get qa you can potion on growlithe and then x acc and drill, if your health can tank 2x qa, just setup on Pidgeotto and drill x5
  299. Lavender Rival:
  300. Pidgeotto: X acc, Drill or TB (qa does 7-8)
  301. Gyarados: Drill or TB
  302. Growlithe: Drill or X acc, Drill (ember does 5-6, bite 6-7)
  303. Kadabra: Drill
  304. Ivysaur: Drill
  305.
  306. Channeler:
  307. Gastly: Rock slide
  308. Gastly: Rock slide
  309. *If you miss rock slide into night shade you will die here depending on your hp if not in red bar, if you miss into lick paralysis or confuse ray, consider switching to a slave and healing it off with your full restore, if you have enough hp or need to save time, try to get through the fight and use the pad to handle your paralysis*
  310.
  311. Make sure to pick up the elixer (the ball right after the trainer)
  312. Also grab the hidden Elixer http://www.smogon.com/oi/rby_item_66.png
  313.
  314. You get a free heal after this, but ideally you want to keep red bar from Surge to here if you are going for a good time, though that brings in some risk.
  315.
  316. Channeler:
  317. Gastly: Rock slide
  318.
  319. Channeler:
  320. Gastly: Rock slide
  321.
  322. *If you get paralyzed by either of these gastlies and you already had to use a full restore on oddish girl or another gastly, you will have to head back to the heal pad on the 5F
  323.
  324. Pick up the rare candy while heading to the ghost.
  325. During the ghost fight, swap elixers to slot 4 and use the poke doll to escape
  326.
  327. Rocket 1:
  328. Zubat: TB
  329. Zubat: TB
  330. Golbat: TB
  331.
  332. Rocket 2:
  333. Koffing: X acc, Drill
  334. Drowzee: Drill
  335.
  336. Rocket 3: You can start thrash on the 1st or 2nd turn of this fight with the manip nido, you can save time if you hit the raticate range and get 4 turn if you thrash zubat, you can also miss the 4 turn or the raticate range and it can cost you some seconds.
  337. Zubat: Thrash or TB
  338. Rattata: Thrash
  339. Raticate: Thrash (is a 93.6% range)
  340. Zubat: Thrash
  341.
  342. Talk to Fuji and then get the Poke Flute, exit his house and fly to Celadon (1 down) and visit the center to set you dig point
  343.
  344. After centering, Super repel and bike to snorlax
  345.
  346. Menu: Switch slot 5 with x spec/spd and then use the poke flute
  347.
  348. Grab the hidden rare candy on cycling road: https://youtu.be/JAi7lYDH7L8?t=1h8m19s (you can reference these 7 seconds of Exa's current WR run to see the location of the rare candy and after the PP UP if you are learning risky strats)
  349.
  350. After exiting cycling road:
  351. Menu:
  352. Super repel and then scroll down and teach tm13 ice beam over rock slide, then mash to get back on bike(bike around the cut bushes through Fuschia)
  353.
  354. Safari zone: http://i.imgur.com/oBebL5z.jpg
  355. Grab the Full restore if you've already used your 1st one, regardless use your super repel near the full restore. (I recommend holding up while I close the menu after using the repel to set my cursor on bike for after safari zone)
  356.
  357. Grab the Gold teeth, and then get surf from the secret house, exit the house and then dig out.
  358.
  359. Upon entering celadon, bike east to Saffron(Silph), you should be able to mash immediately since your cursor is already on bike (I do this because it loses minimal time, and mitigates the risk of you accidentally repelling on this menu)
  360.
  361. Take the elevator up to 10F
  362.
  363. Rocket:
  364. Machoke: X acc, Drill
  365.
  366. Grab TM26 EQ and the Rare candy (the left and bottom item balls)
  367.
  368. Head back to the stairs and then down to 9F
  369.
  370. Menu, switch your slot 6 items with whatever is remaining x spec/x spd, scroll down and teach HM03 surf to squirtle and then teach tm26 earthquake to Nidoking over thrash(it is important you do it in this order so that you don't cause your cursor to go back up to the top of your bag)
  371.
  372. Head right along the wall and then down to the next wall and use the teleporter past the scientist.

  378.
  379. Go right and then up to the next card key door, take the next available teleport and you'll be at Silph Rival.
  380.
  381. *Silph Rival*
  382.
  383. This fight is complex, you can take a risk to get red bar on Gyarados that will save 40 seconds, but presents a ~40% chance to die. With our god nido ranges you should know are:
  384. 1 x spc Hydro Pump: 83-98
  385. 2 x spc Hydro Pump: 62-73
  386.
  387. You can consider multiple strategies in this fight when aiming for red bar, just know that Nidorino on gio can deal up to 14-16 dmg, you want to aim to land on 12 or so hp so you can level out of horn attack range safely or you're adding increased risk. You also want to have enough hp to tank a hypno headbutt later on. Some strategies for the fight if you took no damage from Machoke, is to setup on Pidgeot until you take damage. If you fall below the hp thresholds or silph bar becomes awkward, just consider skipping it. If you're around 100 hp and you're all set up and pidgeot qa's on the last turn, you can consider using a 2nd x spec on gyarados to keep yourself in silph bar range. I suggest practicing the Koga split and reacting to different silph rival results if you are going for a time that requires this risk. Knowing how to react accordingly will save you the time of thinking, as well as increased familiarity with all the outcomes will make this more feasible to go for in runs.

If you're playing it safe, you need to heal to above 50 for Hypno to tank a confusion.

  515. Use another super repel when you're beside the 2nd boulder puzzle and use strength
  516. If you use no extra steps, you should be able to save the last repel for after you fall down the hole to start the last boulder puzzle
  517. Menu: Super repel, cursor will move up to bike so select it. Pause again, and use strength
  518.
  519. Once you're out of the cave, deposit all slaves except your flier (deposit flier if you're going to yolorelei though this shouldn't be done unless you need it to meet your goal time)
  520.
  521. (Yolorelei is when you X acc turn 1 on Lorelei, dewgong has a 50% chance to use rest turn 1, this saves considerable time given you don't switch out and also have 1 less pokemon on the HoF)
  522. Lorelei:
  523. Dewgong: Switch to flier(will use aurora beam) Ai will use rest turn 2 100% of the time, set up an x Acc then drill

  526. Jynx: EQ
  527. Lapras: Drill

  534. Hitmonlee: Drill
  535. Onix: IB
  536. Machamp: Drill
  537.
  538. Before Agatha, if playing safe full restore. If you are going for a good time with this nidoran, generally I'd heal to the point where you survive one night shade from either gengar. You want to aim for red bar on Lance i.e. ~130 hp for Lance's Gyarados. Most of the time if you're super potioning after Bruno you'll be about 70-80 hp and can go into Agatha with that.
  539.
  540. Agatha:
  541. Gengar: x spec(x spd instead if you want to play safe), EQ
  542. Golbat: IB (wing attack does 18-21, account for this if you get turn 1 shade from gengar)
  543. Haunter: EQ
  544. Arbor: EQ
  545. Gengar: EQ (note if you get confused by this gengar turn 1 you can deal yourself 22 damage, night shade also does 60, on x spc strats you can die here. X spd will outspeed this gengar and will be fine.)
  546.
  547. If you're doing x spec strats, you gain a range to kill golbat and still outspeed the 1st gengar, you are risking being slower than the 2nd gengar, though it can only really kill you with night shade. It's pretty unlikely to get 2x shade from both gengar's so I prefer x spec as it saves more frames on average than x spd(marginal amount)
  548.
  549. Before Lance you want to heal to around ~130 hp to hopefully manipulate red bar from gyarados, also go ahead and use your ether or elixer on horn drill(there's a chance you wont be healing for champion)
  550.
  551. Gyarados: X spc, TB (Hydro pump does 108-127)
  552. Dragonair: X spd, IB
  553. Dragonair: IB
  554. Aerodactyl: IB
  555. Dragonite: IB
  556.
  557. Before champion, you want at least 22 hp, I prefer going in with enough hp to tank 1 wing attack, if you want to be safe, heal to ~50
  558. Pidgeot has 2 damaging moves, sky attack and Wing attack, you need to setup twice, so you're only at at a 6.3% to get 2x WA to kill you (crits can also kill from this range) If you get sky attack turn 1, you can use the full restore you saved earlier on Agatha, if you're around 50 hp you can super potion out of sky attack non-crit range. There is a good chance each turn pidgeot does nothing at all, so being low hp for pidgeot when going for a good time, enough to tank 1 wing attack, is probably an appropriate risk. Note you should always x spc first to minimize damage unless you're high hp and want to go for red bar.
  559.
  560. Champion:
  561. Pidgeot: X spc, X Acc, Drill (WA 18-21 after x spc(21-24 w/o), Sky Attack 72-84 after x spc(79-93 w/o))
  562. Alakazam: Drill
  563. Rhydon: IB
  564. Gyarados: Drill
  565. Arcanine: Drill
  566. Venusaur: Drill

  568. Hooray. Feel free to contact me on twitch or on discord (Paperguy27) if you have any questions. This could become more in-depth, but is really just my first attempt at a guide as I've seen a demand for a guide with manips included and certain strats you can do with the manipulated god nido.
