  5. a fun little game that kinda feels like a more physics-based and "literal" take on monkey-ball. yeah in monkey-ball there is the illusion that you're controlling the course and not the monkey, but its really just visual flavor dressed over some really loose physics. in this game you are "literally" moving the stage around with your mouse, and making the ball bounce every which way. I wish it were longer because I found the mechanics engaging and oddly refreshing, it was interesting how the last stage was set up as a kinda puzzle that can also be brute-forced -- if you really wanted to you could make the ball bounce then quickly thread it through the long hall of spikes, but then there's also the much easier method of bouncing the ball, then using the vertical wall as a paddle to blast the ball straight to the exit. I don't know if this was intended or simply a side-effect of this being a 48hour game, but it was nice nonetheless. inventive game Miziziziz!

  8. I've always wanted to make a game based on conway's game of life, something about the endless depth intrigues me. but it also scares me. seriously conway's game of life is terrifying, drawing a single line results in an elder god beyond mortal comprehension forming to life in front of your very eyes. well, that and it's also almost impossible to make it into a game of strategy -- conway's game of life is essentially a game where you draw things, and cool shit happens. what impresses me about this game, is how it TEACHES you methods to overcome it's enemies, through very simple and effective level design -- the game becomes less about random chance, and more about using your knowledge of various forms to your advantage. intriguing game VDZ!

  11. this game is really hard, but I love the control scheme. there have been a lot of "shooty mcshooty momentum gun puzzler" games made by indie devs lately, but this is the first time I've ever seen the mechanic used in such a "pure" way. what I mean by that, is that your ONLY form of movement is by shooting your gun. the game has a cute little intro text explaining that the gun is too heavy to walk around with, so the main character is forced to propel himself around by shooting it. it's cheesy, funny and I love it. cute game cleitoneldorn!

  14. winking is a terrible, terrible thing. this game makes winking even more terrible -- and I mean that in a good way. in this game you play an omnipotent entity who has the ability to instantly pop block people out of existence, by the power of winking. yep. seriously funny game, I love the little "pop" sound whenever you kill an enemy, it's lighthearted and silly but also kind of disturbing. the little blocks that roam the land are also dumb and clumsy looking, you almost feel bad for killing them -- the geography is also really interesting, it almost feels like a minimalist salvador dali painting. hilarious and fun game 2kah.

  17. man, I just love the way this game looks. low-poly non-textured 3d art has this weird antique feeling to it that I find really appealing. gameplay-wise it's rather derivative, which I almost feel is intentional (look at the name!) but I found it endlessly more appealing than the weapon in half life 2, simply because you can grab anything from any distance from anywhere. it's really quite enthralling. I'm usually of the mind that balance should never get in the way of fun gameplay, and it's awesome to see that justified so well by a 48hour game no less. and did I mention how beautiful this game is? really fun game Perjoka!
