  1. >The next morning was off from the very moment you woke up.
  2. >You were certain you left your flight suit on the nightstand.
  3. >But, it wouldn’t be the first time you misplaced something.
  4. >Grabbing a piece of fruit from the bowl on the dining table, you began your search around the room for your clothes.
  5. >Walking around in your underwear, even in a society of p0nies that didn’t wear clothes, wasn’t the ideal time for you.
  6. >There was a faint knock at the door about an hour into your search, and you had yet to find anything, even your boots.
  7. >Cracking open the door, you peered outside at the pink alicorns, who looked a bit on the unkempt side.
  8. >”I washed your flight suit, I noticed it was a bit…”
  9. “Disgusting?”
  10. >”I wasn’t going to say that but… yes.”
  11. >Cadence levitated the flight suit and boots through the doorway, and you quickly snatched them out of the air.
  12. “You can come in, I’ll just go put these on.”
  13. >You hurried over to the bathroom, ducking inside as Cadence stepped inside your suite.
  14. >”I shouldn’t stay…”
  15. “One moment Princess!”
  16. >With your flight suit on and boots laced to your feet, you stepped out into the living room and approached Cadence.
  17. “Thank you. You didn’t have to do this.”
  18. >”Really, I should go…”
  19. “What’s wrong?”
  20. >”N-Nothing I-“
  21. “Cadence, not to be rude but you look like shit.”
  22. >As she began to turn away, you extended a hand and grasped her chin gently.
  23. “Look at me.”
  24. >You closely inspected her pink face, finding the faintest hint of purple under her eye.
  25. >Even brushing a finger as lightly Cadence flinched.
  26. >”I hit a door…”
  27. “Bull shit.”
  28. >”This doesn’t concern you Anon. Just…”
  29. “When my friends are hurt, it becomes my problem.”
  30. >The word friend seemed to stop her in her thoughts.
  31. >Hell, it stopped you in your own thoughts.
  32. >You barely knew this mare, yet you just called her a friend.
  33. >Well, you were committed now.
  34. >You pulled her in close, holding her tight in a hug.
  35. “I’m sorry.”
  36. >”This isn’t your fault…”
  37. “Yes it is.”
  38. >”He wasn’t always like this. Those damned changelings are to blame…”
  39. “I’m sure once I leave things will go back to normal for you two.”
  40. >”I can’t help but doubt that.”
  41. “Listen, if he lays another… hoof on you, let me know. Human or p0ny, I can’t stand a wife beater.”
  42. >”Thank you Anon. I should go before he finds me here… be careful while you’re out about the castle.”
  43. “Take care Cadence. I‘m here if you need anything.”
  44. >”Thank you.”
  45. >Cadence nuzzled your shoulder like she did last night, and you ran a hand along her neck, petting her.
  46. >She lifted her snout from your shoulder suddenly, placed a soft kiss on your neck and pulled away, trotting outside.
  47. >You quickly wiped the sensation away with your hand, the trace amounts of p0ny spit making you shudder.
  48. >Whatever, if you could help it, you wouldn’t be here more than a few more days.
  49. >You walked down to the hangar and began inspecting the chopper for any additional damage you had missed in your previous inspections.
  50. >”Good morning Chief. I have your parts.”
  51. >You looked up from the chopper at Celestia as she walked through the bay door, several small metallic parts levitating in front of her.
  52. “Took long enough, thank you Celestia.”
  53. >”Do you want some help putting them back together?”
  54. “Actually, if you bring the other engine over here you can work on it the same time I do.”
  55. >”You want me to actually work on it?”
  56. “Just do what I do Princess. You should be able to use your magic as a tool.”
  57. >”I’m not so sure…”
  58. “Well, I suppose you can hand me parts at least, if you have nothing better to do.”
  59. >”Not really, what’s first?”
  60. >You took a seat next to the engine, with your tool bag on one side, and the princess on the other.
  61. >Going from memory, the rebuilding process was extremely slow.
  62. >On the bright side, you had nothing to do all day.
  63. >Just sit in front of this piece of metal, and idly chat with Celestia as she asked about different parts.
  64. >”Cadence has taken a liking to you Anonymous.”
  65. “She is a nice… what’s the term, mare?”
  66. >”Has she told you what’s bothering her? She refuses to tell me.”
  67. “Even if I knew, I don’t think it would be my place to speak.”
  68. >”So do you know?”
  69. “Perhaps.”
  70. >”You won’t tell your best friend?”
  71. “My best friend is dead.”
  72. >Silence fell between you and Celestia for a few minutes as you bolted another piece of the engine together.
  73. “Sorry, I guess I’m just a bit bitter about this-“
  74. >”No, it’s ok. You’ve been through a lot.”
  75. “We’ve all been through a lot. Hopefully once I leave this will all go back to normal.”
  76. >”It’s a shame, Cadence and I were getting attached to you”
  77. “Better that I leave then, the sooner the better.”
  78. >”Is that how you really feel?”
  79. “Yes.”
  80. >”May I ask why?”
  81. “The only person I ever let myself get close to, my best friend, just died in a freak accident. Just goes to prove that if you get close to anything, or anyone, it’s going to be stripped from you.”
  82. >”But friends are what make life worth living.”
  83. “Maybe to you. I’m going back home, retiring from this damn job, and buying a nice little piece of land where I can live the rest of my life in peace. Can you hand me that rectangular piece?”
  84. >Celestia levitated the piece over to you and held it in place as you bolted it down.
  85. >”I’m sorry for your loss.”
  86. “It’s not your fault.”
  87. >You continued working on the engine in silence, the princess watching your hands work.
  88. >Her horn continued to glow, even though she wasn’t handing you any pieces.
  89. “You aren’t probing my head like your sister did, are you?”
  90. >”I’m sorry?”
  91. “Your horn is glowing, why?”
  92. >”I’m lowering the sun so Luna can raise the moon.”
  93. >Was that the sound of Galileo trying to crawl out of his grave?
  94. “The sunrise is caused by… you know what, forget I said anything. It’s magic and I’m not going to pretend to understand it.”
  95. >”Are you alright?”
  96. “Yeah, we’ve just been working all day, I’m tired.”
  97. >You bolted the last few pieces of the first engine together, and rubbed the bridge of your nose, smearing oil on your face.
  98. >”You should get some sleep. A few more days in Equestria won’t hurt.”
  99. “Can I ask you something?”
  100. >”Of course.”
  101. “You act like you don’t want me to leave, but you’re helping me rebuild my gunship. Why?”
  102. >”Why don’t I want you to leave, or why am I helping you?”
  103. “Both.”
  104. >”It’s not that I don’t want you to leave. I just don’t want you to get hurt, or be disappointed when Chrysalis can’t send you home.”
  105. ”But you’re helping me fix the gunship, knowing what I plan on doing?”
  106. >“There is a chance you could be sent home. I just want to help you get there.”
  107. “…Thanks.”
  108. >”Get some rest Anon, I’ll meet you in the morning.”
  109. “Thanks Celestia.”
  110. >You yawned, extended a hand over to Celestia and pet her on the head, around the base of her long horn.
  111. >She flinched at first, but took to your hand, nuzzling it gently with her soft snout.
  112. ”You p0nies are kinda cute.”
  113. >”Don’t make me blush Chief.”
  114. >Celestia sort of shuddered as your hand brushed against her horn.
  115. “Don’t take it the wrong way. The most you p0nies would ever get from me is a comforting hug.”
  116. >”I’m sure… Get some sleep.”
  117. >Celestia trotted out of the hangar, and you made your way back to your room again.
  118. >Strange, you don’t remember leaving the lights on…
  119. >You drew your .38 from your pocket and eased the door open, cautiously stepping inside.
  120. >Everything seemed the way you left it.
  121. >You walked over to the table, picking up a piece of fruit and taking a bite before continuing your investigation.
  122. >Stepping through a pair of sliding glass doors, you emerged onto a balcony, and came face to face with your intruder.
  123. “Cadence, it’s a bit late don’t you think? What are you doing here?”
  124. >”I’m sorry, I just don’t feel safe…”
  125. “So you came to the guy responsible for every death in the invasion?”
  126. >”I know I shouldn’t be here… I just don’t know where else to go.”
  127. “What do you expect me to do?”
  128. >”I feel safe here, next to you.”
  129. “Do you realize how ironic that statement is?”
  130. >”YES! I DO!”
  131. >Well, Cadence could sound off better than your average recruit.
  132. >It actually took you a moment to recover from the shock.
  133. >”Sorry… I just…”
  134. “Why did he hit you?”
  135. >”He walked in last night, while I was washing your flight suit. He thinks we’re having an affair.”
  136. “So you come to my room in the dead of night? Cadence, I’m a bit confused by your tactics.”
  137. >”He’s drinking, and I’m already scared to be around him, ok!?”
  138. “Cadence, as much as I want to help, I can’t. Believe me, I would love to walk over to him and sock him right in the mouth for hitting you.”
  139. >”That would make matters worse…”
  140. “Why not talk to Celestia?”
  141. >”I still love him Anonymous. I don’t want to ruin his reputation…”
  142. >Again, you buried your face in your palm.
  143. >There was a fine line between loyal and retard, and Cadence here was tap dancing on top of it.
  144. “Listen, I’m going to go get a shower… Make yourself comfortable inside. We’ll talk a bit more when I get out.”
  145. >Cadence nodded, and you both stepped inside the suite.
  146. >As she lay on your bed, you moved to your bathroom, and started your shower.
  147. >What the hell were you going to do with this mare?
  148. >You watched the oil and grime from the day wash down the drain as you mind began to wander.
  149. >Celestia would be pissed when she found out you accidently smeared oil and he pretty white coat.
  150. >Once you toweled off, you put your flight suit back on, and stepped back into the bedroom.
  151. >Cadence was lying motionless on the bed, sniffling quietly.
  152. >God damn it.
  153. >You really felt bad for her.
  154. >You weren’t just pissed off that Shining Armor had hit her, you felt bad for her.
  155. >In a matter of days you had grown close to this mare.
  156. >You quietly sat down next to her and placed a hand on the base of her neck, rubbing it gently.
  157. “I’m here for you Cadence, for what that’s worth.”
  158. >”That means everything to me right now, thanks… Could I stay here tonight?”
  159. “Is that a good idea Cadence? Shining Armor would throw a fit if he caught you here during the day. And there’s only one bed.”
  160. >”Let me worry about Shining Armor. But if you aren’t comfortable with me staying here… I understand that. I just want to feel safe tonight.”
  161. >Brain, let me guess, we’re about to do something really stupid.
  162. >Yep.
  163. >Are we going to get our shit kicked?
  164. >Most likely.
  165. >Bring it on.
  166. “You can stay tonight, provided you’re alright with sharing the bed.”
  167. >”Of course, I couldn’t put you on the floor or anything.”
  168. >You shut off the lights, and made your way to the opposite edge of the bed, and kicked off your boots.
  169. “Close your eyes.”
  170. >”May I ask why?”
  171. “I’m taking off my flight suit so I can sleep.”
  172. >”I don’t really understand, we p0nies usually don’t wear clothes.”
  173. “I’m not a p0ny. Where I come from, nudity is frowned upon.”
  174. >”Oh, I see. My eyes are closed.”
  175. >You slipped out of your flight suit, placing it on the night stand beside the bed, and got under the covers with Cadence.
  176. >The bed was obviously not designed for two beings this size, that was apparent immediately.
  177. >You and Cadence were inadvertently spooning, and…
  178. >NOPE.avi
  179. >Boner, this shit does NOT fly, I say again, you are in a no-fly zone. Land your happy ass before I chop you off.
  180. >Your penis called your bluff, and you could only pray Cadence didn’t realize what the poking sensation in her backside was.
  181. >Her warm… soft… backsi-
  182. >God damn it brain not you too…
  183. >Sorry bro.
  184. >Both of you fuckers go to sleep, first stop when we get back is a whore house.
  185. >You shut your eyes tightly and tried your best to ignore the wave of sexual thoughts that we’re bombarding your mind.
  186. >You were in for a rough night.
  187.
  188. >You went about your morning routine sluggishly the next day.
  189. >As bad as it sounded, Cadence made it hard for you to sleep last night.
  190. >You sat at your dining table, a mug of black coffee in your hand, staring down at the bitter liquid.
  191. >”Morning.”
  192. >Cadence nuzzled you from behind, then moved over to the small kitchenette and began looking for something to fix.
  193. >”Normally you’re off working.”
  194. “I didn’t sleep very good.”
  195. >”Me either.”
  196. “Feel weird sharing a bed with someone other than Shiny?”
  197. >”Yes, was just getting used to sleeping with him.”
  198. “How long have you two been married?”
  199. >”A few weeks.”
  200. >Well, you probably set a new record for destroying a marriage, good for you.
  201. >”How do you want your eggs?”
  202. “Can you make a cheese omelet?”
  203. >”Mhmm.”
  204. >She was such a nice p0ny, fixing you breakfast.
  205. >She deserved better than that Shining Armor douchebag wife beater.
  206. >”It also didn’t help that something kept jabbing my backside.”
  207. >You did a spit take into your mug, spraying the black liquid onto your face.
  208. >Fuck that burned.
  209. >”What was that anyway? It never happened with Shining Armor…”
  210. “Uh, that was my gun.”
  211. >”You sleep with a gun? Isn’t that what’s mounted on the helicopter?”
  212. “That’s a cannon… I always have a gun on me.”
  213. >”Oh… Can I see it?”
  214. >God damn it she was making it hard to avoid the subject.
  215. “I uh… don’t have it on me.”
  216. >”You just said you always had it on you!”
  217. >Ok, you were in a corner.
  218. “My revolver is on the nightstand if you really want to see it.”
  219. >”I thought we were talking about your gun?”
  220. >You silently stood up, walked back over to the night stand, and picked up the revolver.
  221. >”So you wore it all night, only to put it up once you woke up?”
  222. “Don’t question my madness, there’s a method to it.”
  223. >”I see… it felt bigger last night. And a little softer.”
  224. >Congratulations Anon, you had a bigger dick than a snub nosed .38 revolver.
  225. >You weren’t sure whether to take that as a compliment or not.
  226. >”You look offended.”
  227. “Huh? Oh no.”
  228. >You set the revolver aside on the table and began eating the cheese and habanero omelet in front of you.
  229. >Did you tell her to put habaneros in this?
  230. >You don’t remember it, but you liked it.
  231. “This is delicious. Thank you.”
  232. >”I get bored alot, and cooking is something I enjoy.”
  233. “Get bored more often, please. I’ll gladly test out whatever you create.”
  234. >”You’re sweet.”
  235. >Cadence leaned down and nuzzled against your neck once more, placing her soft lips against your cheek for a moment before returning to the stove and fixing her own breakfast.
  236. >You couldn’t help but shudder as her lips left your skin, and you took another sip of your coffee.
  237. “Thanks again for breakfast. I’ll see you tonight, right?”
  238. >”I may try to speak with Shining Armor… maybe.”
  239. “Be careful, please. If he hits you I’m not going to be a happy human.”
  240. >”I’ll keep that in mind. Have fun fixing your aircraft.”
  241. >Another nuzzle, she was really getting attached to you wasn’t she?
  242. >You didn’t have room to talk, you let her sleep in the same bed as you after knowing her a few days.
  243. >And even if she didn’t realize it yet, you sexually assaulted her with your wiener all night.
  244. >You holstered your pistol and made you way out the door, leaving the pink mare behind as she finished her meal.
  245. >In the hangar, Celestia was looking at the helicopter, with all of your tools already moved over to the side with the disassembled engine.
  246. >”You’re late Anon.”
  247. “Who’s the boss here?”
  248. >Celestia shot you a playful glare as she trotted over to the disassembled engine.
  249. >”I am the princess here.”
  250. “You didn’t pay for this bird, so its mine.”
  251. >”Just get to work Anon. How did you sleep?”
  252. “Fine I suppose, yourself?”
  253. >”Like a foal.”
  254. “So you woke up every hour crying for a diaper change?”
  255. >Celestia chuckled light heartedly.
  256. >”Anon, I’m going to miss you. Your witty wise cracks make my day.”
  257. “Well I’m glad to have put a smile on your face Celly.”
  258. >”Celly?”
  259. “It’s your new nickname.”
  260. >”So does this mean I can call you Anony?”
  261. >You let out a sigh.
  262. “I suppose that’s fair.”
  263. >The two of you sat next to each other around the engine Celly had damaged with her attack.
  264. >She was quiet mostly, content with watching you work and handing the tool or part you asked for.
  265. >You started raking your mind, hoping to find something for the two of you to talk about.
  266. >”I heard a rumor that Cadence stayed with you last night.”
  267. >Shit, missile incoming, deploying flares!
  268. “She and Shining Armor are having some issues, I let her stay with me for the night.”
  269. >”Oh? I’m surprised you two fit in that bed. You’re a bit larger than most diplomats.”
  270. “It was a tight fit. Definitely awkward.”
  271. >”Do be careful, Shining Armor has quite a short fuse lately.”
  272. “I’ve noticed Celly. She said she would try to talk to him today.”
  273. >”Good. Let’s hope the captain has a level head on him when she does.“
  274. “Let’s…”
  275.
  276. >Cadence swallowed the lump in her throat, and stared at the door in front of her.
  277. “You can do this Cadence. He was just a bit drunk last night… He’ll take you right in with a smile and a hug… right?”
  278. >She raised a hoof slowly, and gave a few knocks.
  279. >Wait, why was she knocking?
  280. >This is where she lived after all.
  281. >Just before she opened the door herself, Shining Armor opened it, meeting her eyes with a cold glare.
  282. >”Well look who finally came home.”
  283. “I’m sorry, I was scared…”
  284. >”Did you have fun with your lover?”
  285. “Lover…?”
  286. >Shining Armor’s eye twitched as he grabbed Cadence in a telekinesis field and pulled her inside.
  287. “S-stop!”
  288. >This was pointless, she could smell the apple cider on his breath from here, and it was only 9AM
  289. >”Don’t treat me like I’m stupid!”
  290. “I’m not!”
  291. >”Horse feathers!”
  292. “Dear plea-“
  293. >Cadence reeled back as Shining Armor brought his hoof across her face, hard.
  294. >That was going to leave a mark…
  295. >”Did you have fun? Huh?”
  296. “We didn’t do-“
  297. >Shining Armor struck her on the cheek again, knocking her to the ground.
  298. >”You’re a whore and a liar. I should have known the “Princess of Love” wouldn’t be happy with just one stallion.”
  299. “I haven’t done anything lov-“
  300. >Tears began to well up in Cadence’s eyes.
  301. >He wasn’t always like this…
  302. “What happened to the Shining Armor I loved?”
  303. >”You stabbed him in the back.”
  304. “I didn’t-“
  305. >Another hoof across the face, stunning her yet again.
  306. >Shining Armor gripped her in a telekinetic hold once more and shoved her against the bed so that her fore legs folded up into her torso.
  307. “What are you doing!?”
  308. >”Shut up!”
  309. >Shining Armor’s body suddenly pressed down on her own, driving her into the matress.
  310. “Stop!”
  311. >Without any form of preparation, Shining Armor thrust his dick into Cadence’s marehood.
  312. “OW! GET OFF YOU’RE HURTING ME!”
  313. >”SHUT UP!”
  314. >Cadence tried lifting herself off of the mattress, but he was too heavy.
  315. >She tried casting a spell, but the constant pain from Shining Armor ramming her made it too difficult to concentrate.
  316. >All she could do was lay there and take it as the monster that had taken control of her once loving husband had its way with her.
  317. >What lasted only minutes in reality seemed to go on for hours to her, every thrust causing her pain.
  318. >A warm sensation filled her insides and Shining Armor withdrew, tossing her aside like a used rag.
  319. >”Harlot.”
  320. >Cadence couldn’t find the strength to move at all.
  321. >She just laid there on the ground crying, as Shining Armor straightened his uniform.
  322. >”Go back to your filthy ape whore. I have a job to do.”
  323. >The captain walked out of the room, leaving Cadence on the floor.
  324. >Hours passed before she even dared to try and get up.
  325. >The scent of booze and sex clung to her nostrils like white on rice.
  326. >In a glass of milk.
  327. >On a paper plate.
  328. >In the middle of a snow storm.
  329. >With every part of her body trembling, she stepped inside the shower, turning the water on as hot as it would go.
  330. >It burned, but it was a good burn.
  331. >Maybe it would burn the smell away.
  332. >And the shame.
  333. >And the sensation of guilt that lingered in her chest.
  334. >More and more tears fell from her eyes, which were washed away by the steaming hot water that poured across her pink coat.
  335. >Soon, the water didn’t burn anymore.
  336. >Whether it was the water heater not being able to keep up, or she was just used to the temperature already, there was no point in staying in here any longer.
  337. >Emerging from the shower was like stepping out into arctic tundra, the water on her skin mixed with the cooler air chilled her to the bone, sending her into an uncontrollable shiver.
  338. >Her marehood and flanks pained her from being subjected to the harsh treatment they had been through.
  339. >How long had she spent in the shower?
  340. >A better question, how long had IT taken place.
  341. >She didn’t dare say the word, not even think it.
  342. >By the very stallion she swore to love until death did them part.
  343. >No, that wasn’t the Shining Armor she knew…
  344. >He would NEVER do something like that…
  345. >But here she was, trembling in the cold mountain air, her tail tucked as close to her marehood as possible.
  346. >She needed to get to the hangar.
  347. >That’s where you would be, and she just needed to be held.
  348. >To be told everything would be alright.
  349. >No, she couldn’t go there, Celestia would be there.
  350. >She couldn’t let her know what happened, it would ruin him.
  351. >As she walked back to your room, she looked through the bay doors from afar, catching a glimpse of Celestia nuzzling your shoulder.
  352. >Good, she needed a love life…
  353. >Cadence slowly made her way up the stairs and into your room, collapsing on the bed in a pink heap.
  354. >She could still smell the faintest scent of Shining Armor on her.
  355. >She fell asleep to that smell, with a sensation of shame weighing her down just like he had done.
  356.
  357. “Thanks for helping me again Celestia. Another day or so and I promise to be out of your mane.”
  358. >”Anonymous, you know you can take as long as you like, you don’t have to work such long hours.”
  359. “The sooner I’m out of here the better for you p0nies and me.”
  360. >”I don’t think so Anon.”
  361. “Regardless, I enjoy spending time with you.”
  362. >”I enjoy our time together as well. Perhaps we could… there’s a cinema…”
  363. “Are you asking me to go see a movie with you?”
  364. >Celestia’s white face flushed pink, and she shifted her eyes away from your own.
  365. “If we get done early enough tomorrow, sure. That sounds fun.”
  366. >”Lovely, see you tomorrow Anon.”
  367. >What a strange p0ny, especially strange for a princess “several times older” that Cadence.
  368. >You walked through the door and looked around for any signs of the pretty pink p0ny you were sharing the room with.
  369. >Nothing, maybe the two made up.
  370. >You opened the door to the bathroom, ready to wash away the grease and oil off in a relaxing shower.
  371. >As you walked in, a wave of hot air washed over you, as if you had left the shower on all day.
  372. >Actually, the shower was still on.
  373. “Cadence, you in here?”
  374. >There was no response.
  375. >You pulled aside the shower curtain and found the pink p0ny laying in the shower.
  376. >Steam wafted off of her body, and she looked up at you with watery eyes
  377. >”Get out!”
  378. >She magically zipped the curtain closed, causing you to back away.
  379. “Sorry! Normally you take showers in the morning. I called your name you know.”
  380. >”Get out!”
  381. “Alright alright, sorry Princess…”
  382. >As badly as you wanted to wash off the oil, she seemed upset.
  383. “Cadence, are you alright?”
  384. >”Leave me alone…”
  385. >Ok, Shining Armor was definitely responsible for this.
  386. >You leaned against the bathroom door, speaking just loud enough so she could hear you over the water.
  387. “Cadence, you’re my friend, tell me what happened.”
  388. >”…”
  389. “Talk to me Cadence. Did Shining Armor hit you?”
  390. >”…”
  391. >Damn it, why wouldn’t she talk to you?
  392. >You took a deep breath, and went back inside the bathroom.
  393. >”What are you doing?!”
  394. “I’m covered in oil. Since you’re in the shower, I’ll use the sink.”
  395. >”…”
  396. “Don’t worry, I won’t peek.”
  397. >You washed the oil off of your hands and face, then did your best to wipe down the majority of your flight suit.
  398. >When you were done with that, you walked over to the shower, and shut off the water.
  399. “Look at me.”
  400. >Cadence turned her head away, but you gently grabbed her chin, and pulled her head around so you could see the damage.
  401. >She had a fresh bruise on her other cheek, and the other one had only gotten worse.
  402. “I’m sorry…”
  403. >You gently toweled her off, noticing how she tensed up at your touch.
  404. “I’m not going to hurt you. You know that.”
  405. >Cadence sniffled as a few tears fell down from her face, and you wiped those away as well.
  406. “Come on, let’s get you in bed. Have you ate dinner?”
  407. >She shook her head.
  408. “Alright, I’ll fix you something to eat.”
  409. >Again, she shook her head.
  410. “Come on, I know I’m not the greatest cook but I can’t be that bad.”
  411. >Cadence didn’t so much as even smile.
  412. “At least get out of the tub.”
  413. >She slowly stood up and stepped out of the tub, keeping her tail tucked close to her behind.
  414. >With most of her toweled off, you brought her over to the bed and helped her lay down.
  415. “I’ll get on finding something for you to- oof!”
  416. >Cadence tackled you, bringing you to the ground, her forelegs wrapped around you in an embrace.
  417. >The poor mare was shaking violently, probably in shock from coming into the relatively cold bedroom.
  418. >Or was it from the beating Shining Armor gave her?
  419. >Or was it something else she hadn’t told you?
  420. >Whatever it was, you put your arms around her and held tight.
  421. >The shaking continued, though your tight embrace seemed to lessen the intensity.
  422. “Why did he hit you?”
  423. >”He thinks I’m having an affair with you…”
  424. “…I’m sorry.”
  425. >”It’s my fault; I shouldn’t have gotten so close so fast.”
  426. “That’s silly Cadence. You shouldn’t be punished for having friends.”
  427. >”When he saw that flight suit in our room, he jumped to the conclusion we slept together.”
  428. “Did you try to tell him we didn’t?”
  429. >”Of course!”
  430. “And he still beat you?”
  431. >”He was drunk…”
  432. “Figures…”
  433. >She slowly calmed down, and the shaking eventually quit.
  434. >”You smell nice…”
  435. “I smell like engine grease, Cadence.”
  436. >”Better than Shining Armor…”
  437. “Is there something you aren’t telling me?”
  438. >”…”
  439. “Cadence, is there something you aren’t telling me? Something’s off.”
  440. >”No… he just hit me… nothing else.”
  441. “I didn’t accuse him of anything else. I wanted to know if something else bothered you.”
  442. >”I-“
  443. “But now I know he did something else. Tell me…”
  444. >”He… he didn’t do anything.”
  445. “Don’t lie to me.”
  446. >”He…”
  447. “Go on…”
  448. >Cadence mumbled a few syllables, but they were impossible to make out.
  449. “Speak up Cadence.”
  450. >”He raped me…”
  451. >Silence hung in the air between you two, weighing down like a 1 ton anvil.
  452. “I’m going to kill him.”
  453. >Cadence placed two hooves on your shoulders and pressed you back onto the floor.
  454. >”No!”
  455. “You’re defending him?”
  456. >”He’s still my husband, and I still love him.”
  457. “He raped and beat you!”
  458. >”He’s still my husband!”
  459. “He deserves to be thrown in that same cell I was in at the very least!”
  460. >”Who are you going to tell, the guard? They won’t do anything to him.”
  461. “I’ll go to Celestia.”
  462. >”No…”
  463. “Why the fuck not?”
  464. >Cadence ignored the vulgarity of your words, only shifting her lavender magenta eyes to the floor.
  465. >“I don’t want anything to happen to him…”
  466. “He needs to be punished for this. Let me give him a taste of his own medicine, see how he likes being beaten…”
  467. >”Shut up!”
  468. >Huh, you always saw Cadence as shy and timid.
  469. >That was neither of the two.
  470. >”Sorry… that wasn’t me…”
  471. >That was more like it…
  472. “You’ve been through something horrible. You need a way to vent.”
  473. >You reached up and stroked her mane, and she lowered her head to nuzzle your hand.
  474. >”Promise me you won’t hurt him, or tell Celestia…”
  475. “I promise I won’t tell Celestia or kick the shit out of him.”
  476. >”Thank you…”
  477. >Cadence leaned down and kissed you, her p0ny tongue invading your mouth.
  478. >You quickly jerked your head aside, and away from her.
  479. “No offense Cadence, but you aren’t my type.”
  480. >”Oh… What exactly is your type?”
  481. “Humans.”
  482. >A faint redness shown past the purple and pink cheeks of hers
  483. >”Sorry… I shouldn’t have done that anyways…”
  484. “Because you’re married?”
  485. >Cadence nodded, stepping off of you and allowing you to stand.
  486. “If it means anything, I don’t really care. Your husband is the lowest form of life I have ever seen.”
  487. >”Honestly, I almost want to do something…”
  488. “Just to get back at him?”
  489. >”How’d you know?”
  490. “Us ponies and humans aren’t that different on the inside.”
  491. >You leaned down and kissed her forehead.
  492. >”I thought I wasn’t your type?”
  493. “It was a friendly little kiss. Nothing more.”
  494. >”So was that one I gave you earlier…”
  495. “No it wasn’t.”
  496. >”Fine…”
  497. “It’s late, we should get some sleep.”
  498. >Cadence nodded again, and made her way back to the bed where she laid down.
  499. >You stripped out of your flight suit and laid down with her, putting an arm over her body and holding her tight.
  500. >”Thank you… It’s nice to be held…”
