Piss Poor #28

[18:32]	Rabtar	our group had set off on there diplomatic mission. Click had 'volunteered' to go and speak with the leader of the aggressive gecko 'Snarl'. The others have managed to evade gecko patrols and are watching Click and who is probably the gecko Snarl talking from a distance away....
[18:34]	Elektron	whispers to Ragebrew "Are you sure this is a good idea?" keeping his head down and out of sight
[18:35]	Ragebrew	sat idly, hunkered close to the ground and partially covered in sand. "No Not really."
[18:36]	Elektron	sinks a little lower "What do we do if he can't convince them to talk?" he asks with extra worry
[18:36]	Ragebrew	pulled out a cigarette and let it hang between her lips, just chewing on the filter. "Then a lot of cold blood is gonna be spilled. I'll take the dove over the hawk any day..."

[18:40]	Elektron	furrows his brows and looks with a mixture of fear and distress "That... thats it? There has to be another way!" he asks, almost pleading for one
[18:40]	Ragebrew	looked to Elektron with a blank expression. "Peace only comes to those who desire it."
[18:43]	Elektron	falls to his haunches and looks with downcast eyes "So... if all we will do will end in death, why do we have to do anything?"
[18:44]	Ragebrew	turned back to the exchange, pulling out her geckodile dundee hat and slapping it on to provide a little suncover for her eyes. "Because if we don't, it'll only end up in even more death, or slavery..." She pulled up her duster's collar, hiding her eyes from sight. The ground beneath her muzzle slowly grew damp.
[18:46]	Ragebrew	barked a simple "Midnight, nose out of the book and eyes on the lizards. You're our evac."
[18:51]	Elektron	tries to form a counter argument, but it simplies dies on his tongue. He turns to look at the dragon, silently hoping for some peaceful resolution
[18:58]	Ragebrew	stayed still, half buried in the sand, shifting about until she was just a muzzle sticking out of a brown coat. She made sure all the metal bits were fully covered in sand, so nothing gleamed in the light.
[18:59]	Elektron	looks around awkwardly, not really sure what makes good cover
[19:02]	Ragebrew	peeked a bloodshot eye over the edge of her coat, looking at Elektron. She just chuckled and shook her head. "Might not want to do as I do... I hear MEWs are pretty fickle weapons."
[19:03]	Rabtar	down at the gecko camp things seem to have been decided as the gecko who is by now obviously Snarl seems to be agreeing with Click. But a large gecko who had been standing guard seems to have become upset about the turn of evens and has attacked Click!
[19:05]	Ragebrew	groaned. "Midnight_Hour, now's the time for magic"
[19:06]	Midnight_Hour	nods. "Got it." Midnight says before igniting her horn and teleporting Click to just over the hill, behind their hiding spot as to hide the flash of her reappearing.
[19:08]	Rabtar	Click appears before the rest of the group, looking quite disturbed and disorientated....
[19:09]	Ragebrew	kept her post hunkered down on top of the dune. She didn't look back as she spoke "So, what's the story?"
[19:10]	Elektron	kept as low as possible, looking back to where Click was a moment ago
[19:13]	Click	appeared, wide-eyed and disoriented with blood on her face and scales. She has teeth marks in the side of her head and she was in the middle of bigging through her backpack. "H-Huh...?"
[19:14]	Midnight_Hour	looks at Click and purses her lips. "Um. Well, looks like I teleported you out just in time."
[19:15]	Ragebrew	"Told ya we'd pull ya out if things went south."
[19:17]	Click	blinks a few times, looking around again "I.. I..." Then the little blue dragon bolted, running back towards the camp where she had just been.
[19:18]	Ragebrew	just blinked as Click bolted by. She tried to catch the little dragon, but off she went. "Damnit! What the hell happened back there?!" She said in a hushed voice.
[19:19]	Rabtar	Elektron gets distracted by some strange bug and sees nothing of the gecko encampment
[19:20]	Rabtar	but Ragebrew sees some movement, looks like there are two geckos up and one on the ground. The two up seem to be arguing.
[19:20]	Midnight_Hour	is thuroughly confused. "Huh? I thought that was the plan?"
[19:21]	Ragebrew	looked at the scene. "Looks like they have a touch of discord in their group..."
[19:21]	Ragebrew	just watches as Click runs back. "Hope she knows what she's doing."
[19:23]	Rabtar	Click makes it back to the encampment before anything truly happens. Snarl and another gecko are having what appears to be a heated argument over the body of the slain gecko, it's hammer still on it's flattened head...
[19:25]	Elektron	watches as the bug flies off and refocuses on Click back at the encampment
[19:26]	Click	winces a bit as she makes it back to the camp. "I-Is he...?" Is about all she manages to speak
[19:26]	Ragebrew	snatches up the bug that had so keenly fascinated Elektron, and popped it in her mouth, idly crunching away on the little chitin covered protein packet. It sounded like she was chewing on gravel for a moment. "Mmm, nutty."
[19:28]	Rabtar	Snarl snaps at Click "Dragon back? Snarl thought dragon exploded!" pointing at the other gecko "Slagg say you should be king! But not gecko! Dragon can't be gecko king!"
[19:32]	Click	blinks a few times, reaching up to feel her bite marks with a wince "But I'm a girl..." Then she looked over at the dead Gecko "I-uh... I'm sorry. I only hit him because he tried to eat my head... then when he swung the club it slipped, and..."
[19:35]	Midnight_Hour	stares intently from their hiding space. "I'm ready to teleport her again if needed. Let's just hope she doesn't run back again... or is able to salvage this."
[19:35]	Rabtar	Snarl huffs "No! Him wanted to be king! Kill dragon to show him should be king. Dragun kill. Now others think dragon should be king!"
[19:35]	Elektron	blinks as Ragebrew eats the bug. Nothing fascinating could ever stay safe...
[19:37]	Ragebrew	"They aren't attacking her at least."
[19:38]	Elektron	nods "They attacked once though... I just wish I knew what to do..."
[19:39]	Ragebrew	"She seemed like she wasn't worried. Plus, look at the size of that bruiser. Looks like she dropped him dead."
[19:40]	Click	"Oh, um... I see..." she looked back at the dead Gecko, sighing. "Well... I-I'm NOT a gecko... and I don't think I'll old enough to be a king or anything..." She said, rubbing her arm nervously and getting some of her own blood on her jacket.
[19:41]	Rabtar	both of the gecko give her an odd look "Old enough?"
[19:44]	Click	"Oh, well... I only just started growing..." she said a she looked away. "I don't even have wings yet... and I don't think I could be a leader or king-something. I'm just good and hitting things... or breathing fire on things, any dragon could do that."
[19:46]	Rabtar	"But Slagg say that all gecko king need! Snarl think and plan. That why Swoop want be king. But him dead now!"
[19:50]	Ragebrew	settled in further. "Lotta talk, no more blood. Wish she had stayed long enough for a bandage..."
[19:51]	Elektron	relaxes slightly, seeing as the fighting hadn't continued
[19:52]	Click	"So, um... you stay king, right?" Click asked, not really sure what to do. "I just kinda thought he didn't like what you said and wanted to hurt you, so I tried to stop him..."
[19:56]	Rabtar	Snarl points at the other gecko "See! Dragon say Snarl king! Me Snarl King!"
[20:01]	Click	"Um.. yeah, it's probably best if you stay king. Rulers need to be thinkers and planners, otherwise they're no different from a soldier... or at least that's what the elders said."
[20:02]	Rabtar	getting uncomfortably close "Dragon tell Slugg, Snarl king?" smiling widely at her as the other sulks at the dragons declaration
[20:04]	Click	blinks, leaning away a bit at the closeness "Um... yes, Snarl king."
[20:07]	Rabtar	Snarl jumps about in celebration *"ME SNARL KING!"
[20:11]	Ragebrew	just stared at the scene, her ears twitching slightly before she faceduned. "That little airhead..."
[20:12]	Ragebrew	slid down the dune. "So, Snarl king now. This is gonna be all sorts of hard now for us to get through without bloodshed."
[20:12]	Click	smiles a little before looking from him to the body of swoop. "There's even less Geckoes now though..." She looked back up att he jumping gecko "Should I give Slugg that message? About stopping for now?"
[20:13]	Elektron	follows Ragebrew, feeling extra tense from the stress of the wait
[20:15]	Ragebrew	stared at the cigarette hanging out of her mouth, and muttered a litany of profanity under her breath before sighing. "Alright... We'll wait for her to get back, see what happened, see what we can make of it..."
[20:16]	Rabtar	Snarl doesn't notice the ponies coming up to them due to his celebrations and the other just sulks
[20:16]	Elektron	nods and keeps close to Ragebrew
[20:19]	Ragebrew	looked back to Midnight_Hour and made a simple "Wait." Gesture before trotting up. She pulled her hat off and, for some reason, pulled out two bottles of beer and covered herself in it.
[20:20]	Click	continues to watch the celebrating Gecko, watching him curiously, "Um... King Snarl? Should I head back to Slugg and tell him about the whole 'not war' thing? If you and Slugg work together, it could help the geckos a lot."
[20:29]	Midnight_Hour	waits, hoping this somehow works without having to kill all the geckos.
[20:29]	Rabtar	Snarl and the sulking gecko both stop and sniff. Turning and hissing as Ragebrew and the others approach "Dragon find destroyer! We kill! Dragon help us kill destroyer!" Snarl picks up the fallen gecko hammer and the other hauls out a crude rifle of some kind
[20:31]	Ragebrew	looks at the group and sighs. She just kept trotting up, her revolver still resting in it's holster. She pulled out an apple and flicked it at the gecko leader. "Peace."
[20:33]	Elektron	gulps as his ears go flat against his head, hoping Ragebrew's last attempt at diplomacy works
[20:34]	Rabtar	Snarl blinks "Destroyer....... peace?" not letting his guard, the other pointing it's rifle at Rage, but not firing
[20:35]	Click	blinks, looking from Snarl to Ragebrew with wide-eyes at the scene, not sure what to do.
[20:36]	Ragebrew	"Peace. Always wanted peace from start. Grimlock not want peace. Became destroyer. Wish to be healer."
[20:38]	Ragebrew	looked over at Click. "Ya shoulda let me tend that before ya ran off again." She pulled out a roll of bandages and trotted up to her, carefully covering the wound and trying to keep the cloth from blocking her senses.
[20:40]	Rabtar	"Destroyer kill Grimlock God. Destroyer keep Snarl. Snarl thought Destroyer want eat Snarl! Destroyer not want kill gecko?"
[20:41]	Ragebrew	"Destroyer want peace for pony and gecko. Destroyer wants to be healer, not destroyer."
[20:43]	Rabtar	"Destroyer talk funny. Hard for gecko to talk pony. Not dumb, but Snarl understand." turning to Click "Dragon tell Slugg, Snarl king"
[20:44]	Ragebrew	"Destroyers not a smart pony."
[20:45]	Rabtar	"Snarl see that"
[20:45]	Elektron	just listens, almost shocked the conversation was going as smoothly as it was
[20:46]	Click	nods as she's being bandaged, wincing a bit "Yes. Should I tell him there's no war now?"

[20:50]	Rabtar	Snarl nods enthusiastically "And tell that Snarl king!"
[20:52]	Ragebrew	"Peaceful king or warmongering king?" She narrowed her eyes "Remember what happened to the last warmonger."
[20:53]	Rabtar	he glares at Ragebrew "Gecko make war later. Make war when dragon come to make war!"
[20:54]	Ragebrew	rolled her cigarette around for a moment. "And what if war never comes?"
[20:55]	Rabtar	"Then.... gecko leave."
[20:58]	Ragebrew	blinked. "And then what? Will ya just wander around aimlessly, live as a little band until something comes along and kills ya?"
[20:58]	Rabtar	"Gecko find new home. Away from pony."
[20:58]	Ragebrew	"You won't find anywhere worth living in that doesn't have ponies around."
[20:59]	Rabtar	"We find"
[21:00]	Ragebrew	"And how many will you lose finding it?"
[21:01]	Ragebrew	"If ya want to wander the wastes, looking for yer paradise, I can only wish ya the best of luck in it. If ya want to play nice with ponies, I can offer ya all the help I can. Tell ya, ya know anything about farming?"
[21:02]	Ragebrew	spat out the cigarette. Was making it harder to talk.
[21:02]	Rabtar	he smiles, showing her his rows of sharp teeth. Plants aren't in his peoples diet.
[21:03]	Elektron	shudders a bit
[21:04]	Ragebrew	"Can't hunt for everything ya need. If ya find somewhere nice, one day it'll run out of game." She tapped her stone hoof to her jaw. "Could teach ya about animal husbandry...."
[21:05]	Click	lets out a small sigh "Shame Geckos can't eat gems..."
[21:06]	Rabtar	Snarl shrugs "Gecko find way."
[21:07]	Ragebrew	"Willing to teach ya a way. Raise animals for meat. Slower than hunting, but in the long run ya get a lot more meat. Willing to help ya as best I can, but only if yer willing to be helped."
[21:08]	Ragebrew	"And, of course, yer willing to not go to war with ponies. I don't want to be a destroyer again."
[21:12]	Rabtar	"Yes yes.... gecko no make war on pony till later. Much later. Wait for dragon friends"
[21:14]	Ragebrew	sighed. "Guess that's the best answer I'm going to get."She looked to the others. "Think we're done here?"
[21:15]	Elektron	nods, still breathing fairly heavily "I... I think so. So long as they don't shoot us in the back..."
[21:16]	Rabtar	"Why gecko shoot in back? Better fight when can see"
[21:17]	Click	looks from the others, then at Snarl "Um... well, think on what the pony said. Could turn the geckoes and camp you have now, to a big city of Gecko."
[21:18]	Midnight_Hour	stays hidden in their hiding place at the top of the dune, not wanting to go near the disgusting little creatures, but watching her party in case of a need to teleport them to safety.
[21:19]	Ragebrew	"Least ya got some honor." She turned to leaveand trotted a few steps away before turning back. "Also, Snarl.... Know this. If you ever go to war with ponies while I still live, I will kill you. I offer you peace. It is up to you to decide if you accept it or not." She turned back around and pulled out her geckodile dundee hat and trotted back towars Midnight_Hour
[21:21]	Rabtar	"Gecko go war with pony Snarl find Destroyer."
[21:21]	Elektron	follows Ragebrew and whispers quietly "That... that was amazing!"
[21:24]	Ragebrew	turned back to Snarl and just smiled with her yellowed teeth. "I'd rather not have to fight you Snarl. But if I kill you, you're going to be a matching coat for my hat." She turned back and slowly worked up the hill, looking at Elektron "Nah, woulda been amazing if we coulda got 'em to not want to wage war. We're gonna have to come back and solve this for good soon enough..."
[21:25]	Elektron	droops a bit and looks back "Are you sure?"
[21:27]	Ragebrew	nodded as she crested the dune, looking at Midnight_Hour. "They ain't gonna fight us, yet. Snarl thinks dragons are gonna help 'em. If they don't, they plan to pack up and leave."
[21:27]	Midnight_Hour	nods and smiles awkwardly. "Well, that's good news, I guess."
[21:28]	Rabtar	Snarl growls and goes back to his hut. Barking a few orders at the other gecko as he goes, getting the word out to stop the fighting... for now.
[21:29]	Click	reaches up, gingerly touching her bandages before moving to leave the camp as well to deliver the message.
[21:31]	Ragebrew	"Gives us time to strengthen the peaceful geckos, get 'em on better footing."
[21:35]	Elektron	nods "So... what should we do now?"
[21:35]	Ragebrew	looked to Click "Well, not as planned, but they like ya. Might help us." She dusted off her duster. "We go tell the other geckos what has happened, and work on helping them as much as possible."
[21:38]	Elektron	"What do they need help with that we could give them?" he asks

[21:42]	Ragebrew	"I figure letting folks know there is a peaceful band of talking geckos would do well to help 'em. Trades a wonderful thing."

[21:44]	Ragebrew	"Midnight_Hour, ya got any ideas? Doubt ya'd want to tutor 'em in proper Equestrian, but I figure the more we help, the less of a problem Snarl is gonna be."
[21:46]	Midnight_Hour	smiles even more awkwardly. "I'd rather not..."
[21:49]	Ragebrew	sighed and kept trotting back to the civil geckos. "They got golds with 'em, Midnight. We could really use their help when we go check the Glow. Immune to radiation and all that jazz. If ya'd prefer, I could make some armor lining out of their hides, it'll help soak up some rads, not much through."
[21:51]	Elektron	tilts his head "You think they would give us their hide? They didn't seem to like your hat..."
[21:52]	Ragebrew	"If I kill 'em, don't care if they can talk. Their hides are worth a good sum, and I can use 'em for a lot of things."
[21:53]	Ragebrew	"Mind ya, not trying to kill 'em. Would rather have us all live in peace. But Snarl wants to kill and quite possibly eat me. Be a shame if I didn't return the favor."
[21:54]	Elektron	shuts up for the moment, not liking the mental images this particular conversation was generating
[21:56]	Midnight_Hour	sighs. Then she shudders. "I guess I could... help them," she says as if it pains her.
[21:57]	Ragebrew	chuckled "Ya poor thing. Thousand miles from civilization, and yer getting yer leg twisted to help some folks. I'd weep for ya, but those tears are reserved."
[21:58]	Ragebrew	"Ya might find a fellow bookworm amongst 'em. Finally have someone ya share something in common with around here."

[22:25]	Rabtar	the group set off to go tell Slugg the news. The question is however, what will they say to Snarl being king of the gecko? For stuffs the group gets 600xp
