  1. Avatar Club - by Raccoon (2014)
  2. Freklz woke up annoyed. He stayed on the edge of his bed while he let his head clear up. It had happened again. That recurring dream, that vision of a fact he was trying to avoid. He waited until the tingling feeling went away and stood up. He sighed. It was time to get on with his day. His roommate had left earlier, always so silent; he hadn’t woken up Freklz once. He left the clean room after a shower, his headphones already in his ears. He remembered his schedule: rehearse with the band, study. He’d be free after eight pm, but he wouldn’t be busy for another two hours. He thought about going to the club -- but there wasn’t anyone interesting at those hours. Someone inter-esting -- images flashed through his head of Darwin, of Lloyd -- and another face. He soon drained that thought from his mind. Not because it wasn’t true, but because of its implications.
  3. Standing in the middle of the park, people walked around him, giving him weird looks as he argued with his own head. After a while he regained his composure. Why was he feeling like that? Thinking of Gekko shouldn’t cause nothing on him -- nothing at all. And so, thinking, his paws headed towards the club.
  4. The building was in the same spot as always. Since finding it was so hard, many believed it was an exclusive place, but you could enter free of charge, in reality. Freklz opened the doors and went towards the elevator without glancing at his sides. Lazily, routinely he pressed the First Floor button. The tiger waited quietly, listening to his music, for the elevator to reach its destination. Looking at him, anybody would think he belonged to the second floor, of the so-called dogfuckers, but he had left those days behind. The doors opened, and a huge and colorful, if a bit worn, room was shown to Freklz. Lots of people were coming and going in it, talking and yelling all at different speeds. Yes, this was his home now. Freklz headed for one of the tables as he looked at the residents with uninterested eyes. He could recognize Wish, Elma… Was that Jack? Those people might seem like a bunch of high school Japanese girls, but every regular knew they weren’t even female. Looking up, he also saw Raccoon, who was also lurking silently. He didn’t have to be in school yet, unlike the other kids who attended in the morning like Eisen or Alastor. Freklz had nothing to say about this.
  5. He tried to find a diversion in the main room. However, Wish’s small talk, Jack sneaking around, Manaka appearing; nothing interested him. His mind was somewhere else that day. He yawned, and it was loud enough that he attracted a little hand that patted his furry leg. He turned to see Darwin by his side.
  6. “Go study,” Darwin greeted him. Freklz couldn’t help but smile.
  7. “I’ve got two hours before that.”
  8. “And you choose to spend them here? Disgusting.”
  9. Darwin was grinning, but Freklz lost his.
  10. “Whatever,” he said, averting his gaze. He wasn’t in the mood, and he had hoped the little girl with a science coat would actually have something to say.
  11. “Oh, one of those days, is it?”
  12. Freklz didn’t bother responding. Regardless, Sabrina had approached their table, attracted by the conversation.
  13. “What’s on your mind?” she asked him with an affection-ate voice. Darwin had already left.
  14. Freklz pondered his answer. He didn’t really talk with Sa-brina, but he had nothing to hide. After all, he was just a bit dis-tracted. Nothing was up with anyone, with Gekko less of all. And that’s what he told Sabrina, who remained unconvinced. However, the tiger didn’t feel like getting nagged; he’d said what he had to say. He decided to head to college already and as he left, lots of people waved him goodbye, people who hadn’t said hi. That’s how the place worked; Freklz understood the dynamics and was okay with them. It was a meeting point, essentially, a place that welcomed all nations and ages, one where he met many of his friends. He, like many, had gotten his start in the second floor (along with Lloyd, Raccoon and -- Gekko), but then had moved to the first. Both groups shared lots of people, anyway.
  15. With a sigh, he decided he’d return at night, when there’d be a more interesting group. One simple couldn’t quit that place; it had a subjacent magnetism.
  16. His day passed quickly. He attended college and band re-hearsal, but he couldn’t focus or prosper, with his mind busy with things he couldn’t pinpoint himself.
  17. He was done by 8:30. Not hesitating, he headed for the club.
