Explanations
1. Super Metroid
This is one of the best speed run games out there, and any% is the most popular category.  This needs to be in the next season!

2. Yoshi's Island
This game was picking up a lot of popularity post AGDQ.  There is still a lot of interest for this game, and any% suits beginners more than 100%.  This game also rounds out the SNES and Mario count at 2 games.

3. Megaman 2
There really needs to be a classic Megaman game in the next season.  This one seems to be one the most popular choice right now.  Alternatives include MM1, MM3, MM9, and MM10.  Zips are and should be allowed here.

4. Rescue Rangers
This is the random NES game slot.  Rescue Rangers has been pretty popular amongst a lot of different runners in the past.  The game is pretty easy to pick up, and a good length at 12-15 minutes.  Alternatives to this include Duck Tales, Contra, Gimmick, and Little Samson.

5. SM64
SM64 is by far the most popular game right now, and 70 star is a great category.  By the end of season 1, people should be ready to make the leap to 70.

6. Secret of Evermore
This game has been getting popular lately with all of the new glitches discovered.  It's also a raceable RPG at 2 hours at the most.

7. Majora's Mask
Majora's Mask has been 2nd only to OoT in the 3d Zelda department on SRL.  This is a good transition / continuation from OoT in the first season.  Any% is a good length at 2 hours for the game.

8. Super Monkey Ball 1
This is one of the best racing games out there, and can be one of those rapid rematch games.  The expert category is not too short or easy, and allows for gameovers for new / inexperienced racers.

9. Sonic 2
This game features the first Genesis game in seasons, and provides a Sonic game for the TSC community to race.  This could be replaced by Sonic 1 or 3, but 2 seems to be the most popular historically.

10. Spyro 1
There really needs to be a PS1 platformer in the second season.  Spyro has been really popular lately, and any% is friendly to new runners (as well as having a better run length).  Ape Escape may be a better game for this slot, but Spyro seems a little more popular.

11. SotN
SotN has been continuously evolving over the past year.  The game is a speedrun classic, and needs to make it into seasons at some point.

12. Portal
There were no FPS games in the first season, and this seems like the perfect fit for S2.  Portal has been a very active game for a long time now, and it's time to add it to seasons.  No OoB is a more interesting / popular category, and increases the run length a bit.

13. Dustforce
This game is second only to meatboy for indie platformers on SRL.  This is a great no-luck racing game, and has been getting more and more hype.  The any% category should be easier for new people to pick it up.
