Welcome to the /r/StreetFighter Online Classic

This is a subreddit tournament that we are holding to determine our sponsorship

The sponsorship includes a Flight and Entry to a Major

(As well as special flair on the subreddit)

In the /r/StreetFighter Online Classic
There are 8 tournaments where players compete for points (display point break up)
And one 16 Player Championship Invitational composed of the top 8 players from each coast

The start time alternates by coast, to accommodate work schedules

Tournament check in begins at 6PM

But for the West coast tournaments, it is 6PM PT (9PM ET)
and for the East coast tournaments, it will start at 6PM ET (3PM PT)

Our schedule is like this:

On Sunday, the day before the tournament, sign ups open on the subreddit with some slots reserved for sign ups during check in
On Monday at 6:00 PM check in opens and the late sign up slots are made available
At 6:45 PM Check in closes and seeding begins
Then at 7:00 PM, the Tournament starts and we go straight into the chopping block
The chopping block is a strict schedule and set of rules we follow for pools due to time constraints


Each round takes 20 minutes each
5 minutes for finding your opponent and resolving any problems
15 minutes for doing your best of 3
Any matches unresolved at the end of 20 minutes are coin flipped by the bracket admins and we proceed to the next round
Pools are done until we've cut the bracket down to 32 players

The Tournament itself is a best of 3 up through top 3, winners, losers and grand finals, which are best of 5

Matches are reported by the players through challonge
