SVTFOE: You Really Got Me Now Part 13 (writers note: this is more or less Ch. 12b)



	Star groggily crawled out of bed; the past night had hit her hard she wasn't even sure what really happened and what was just her overly perverted mind doing things to her. Star knew she couldn't keep doing this forever, the past few days she has been on an emotional rollercoaster and wants off before it derails; one way or another she has to talk things out with Marco and while for now she just wants to for peace of mind she does hope he will reciprocate her feelings sooner or later; and  as fucked up as her mind can get she couldn't deny she liked the dream and was crushed it wasn't real.

Star walked herself down the hall, she was still half asleep replaying the dream in her head; after showering she's going to make herself a big cup of coffee to get her mind back on track. Her friends would be at the house later in the day for the party the Diaz's were throwing her and really wanted to at least feel normal by then; as she rounded the corner she collided with Marco who was oddly shirtless and wearing swim shorts while being soaking wet he looked like he just got out of a pool.

"Oh my bad didn't see you there, I had just jumped into the shower when I realized I didn't get a towel from the linens closet, do you mind stepping back?" Marco said pointing at the cabinet on the wall that Star was covering up.

Star rubbed her forehead in frustration as if rubbing a migraine; "I swear to god if I'm still dreaming I'm going to be very annoyed, I'll still go along with it but still be very annoyed" Star mentally told herself.

"Star you ok?" asked Marco. "You look terrible"

Star took a deep breath and relaxed; if this was still her dream Marco would probably already be nailing her in the shower.

"Sorry too, I've had a rough night," Star said stepping back letting Marco get his towel.

"About that," Marco said opening the linens closet. "I'm sorry I don't know what came over me I'm sorry that I kissed you I didn't mean to make things weirder then they already are, I'm just sorry Star it won't happen again I promise please forgive me and if it does you can punch me in the face"

"oh good, the kiss did actually happen and wasn't part of my fantasy," Star thought to herself some what happy.

"Marco its ok, honest I didn't mind it at all you can never make anything weird and you don't have to apologize for being over come with emotion; you can over come yourself with me whenever you want"

Star facepalmed; That...did not sound right.

Marco smiled. "So are we cool...birthday girl?"

"Of course Marco when are we not?" Said Star reaching in for a hug.

"No no no later ok?" stammered Marco holding out his arm. "I'm dripping wet right now".

"Yeah well that makes two of us" mumbled Star incoherently.


Short while later, Marco joined Star for breakfast his parents were out getting more supplies and luckily the power came back so at least Marco can get started on Star's birthday cake; he sat down next to Star at the kitchen table and handed her a CD.

"Whats this for?" she asked looking up from her cereal.

"Last night remember? after I made out with you we stopped by Dairy Queen for ice cream ate in silence until and you said you liked the song that was playing over their speakers; told you I have a mix CD with their songs and you asked to borrow it...I honestly didn't pin you as a Queens of the Stone Age fan, but here it is like I promised"

Star took the CD. "Oh, that explains the soundtrack," she told herself. "Thank you Marco," she said with a smile. She was going to play that one song on repeat for several hours she already knew.

"Uhm there's one more thing, I uh took this class while you were gone taught me to make things using metal and all that jazz so i made you this" Marco said as reached into his hoodie pocket and revealed a small wooden box and handed it to Star; who in turn looked at him with her big puppy dog eyes. "I hope you like it"

Star slowly opened the box, inside was a tiny silver  replica of her wand, with a vibrant diamond placed in it as the star symbol on the wand; she lifted it up revealing a shiny blue chain, it was also a necklace. Star held the wand in her hands the diamond sparkling under the light coming in from the window.

"Marco this is amazing but this diamond...its real isn't it? You shouldn't have I don't what to say" Star said as a tear ran down her cheek, this was one of the sweetest presents she's ever gotten.

"Just tell me you like it that's all I need to hear," Marco said looking right at her.

" I love it"

Marco reached for the necklace and proceeded to place it on her neck, locking it in place from behind and sat back down.


"I know it can't replace your real wand or anything but for whats worth I think it suits you better...happy birthday Star".


"Hugs now?" she asked.

"Hugs now" replied Marco.


She reached over and hugged hm tight, almost as tight as the day they reunited at the castle; Star wanted to say what she's always wanted to say to Marco but couldn't; sadly Marco couldn't  say what he wanted to say either but the message was still clear as day in many ways.

I love you.
