Change Shape:

A Webspun can change shape into a bestial form as a standard action. In bestial form, a Webspun gains a +2 racial bonus to Dexterity. While in this form, a Webspun also takes on an animalistic feature that provides a special effect. Each time a Webspun assumes bestial form, she can choose to gain one of the following features:

Bite attack that deals 1d6 points of damage
Multi-Armed
Climb speed of 30 feet
Poison Use

The racial ability score bonus and additional feature last as long as the Webspun remains in that form, and a Webspun can remain in bestial form for as long as she wants. While in bestial form, a Webspun takes a –4 penalty on Charisma and Charisma-based checks when interacting with humanoids that lack the shapechanger subtype.





New Traits:

The following race traits are available to Aranea and Aranea-kin:

>Feeding
Benefit:
Whenever you use a coup de grace action to kill a creature (either by damage or through a failed Fortitude save), you gain a number of temporary hit points equal to half your character level (minimum 1) for 1 minute. These temporary hit points do not stack with multiple coups de grace.

>Web of Contact
Benefit:
Whenever you succeed at a Perception check to locate a creature you can't see that is touching a web produced by your spell-like ability and your check exceeds the DC by 10 or more, you can pinpoint the exact square where the sound originated.

>Silken Witticism
Benefit:
As a standard action, you can joke about a troublesome situation to lighten the load of dealing with it for yourself and others. You and all allies within 30 feet who can hear you gain a +2 morale bonus on saving throws against fear and pain effects for 1d4 rounds. A character cannot benefit from this effect more than once in 24 hours.

>Salticidaeic
Benefit:
Whenever you take falling damage, the first 1d6 points of lethal damage suffered in the fall are automatically converted to nonlethal damage. You also gain a +2 trait bonus on Acrobatics checks made to jump.



New Feats:

The following Combat feats are available to webspun, aranea, jorogumo and those who associate with these creatures:

>Expanded Spinnarets
Prerequisite: Con 13, Character Level 8th, webspun, aranea, or jorogumo
Benefit:
You may opt to gain the Web (Ex) ability as a bestial feature when using your change shape.

>Spider's Touch
Prerequisite: Character Level 3rd, webspun, aranea, or jorogumo
Benefit:
You can cast spider climb once per day as a spell-like ability, using your character level as the caster level. Furthermore, you gain a +4 bonus on saving throws against the web special attacks of spiders and the effects of web and other similar spells (such as the web cloud spell).

>Threaded Brachiation
Prerequisite: Expanded Spinnarets, Character level 10th, webspun, aranea, or jorogumo
Benefit:
You can use your Web (Ex) special ability to grasp onto an object or structure within a maximum range of 60 feet allowing you to swing hand over hand and move at a speed equal to double its climb speed. This is treated as a fly speed of 60 feet (average maneuverability) if wearing light armor or unencumbered, or 40 feet (poor maneuverability) with a medium or heavy load or medium or heavy armor.

>Nephila's Kiss
Prequisite: webspun, aranea, or jorogumo
Benefit:
When using your change shape ability to replicate your bite attack, you gain the option to produce toxic venom up to a number of times per day equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum 1/day).
