  7.
  8. In ancient times, roughly 2600 years before now, the time period known as Era 4... an ancient civilization was prospering, evolving from their own ancestors. Having vanquished their demonic enemies after 300 years of conflict, this time period was instead one of peace, prosperity and advancement.
  9.
  10. This civilization, feudal in nature, had introduced many cultural, scientific, behavioral and even military advancements to the world. The many sectors and its many inhabitants were living in relative peace, free from worry. This is a world where the biggest contribution to technology was the crossbow, long before the first firearms.
  11.
  12. Five generations of kings succeeded each other. The last one, King Maratuxa, was born with a great ability. He would often have strange visions, visions of his people, of the world, suffering an impending doom. As such, the King was greatly obsessed with protecting his people's legacy.
  13.
  14. He ordered the creation of many rooms to be used for record-keeping, where all the knowledge that his people possessed would be written and kept. Library rooms were born.
  15. Seeing that the highest of his subjects were starting to doubt him, the King waged war on the most unruly, and pacified the others. He succeeded in every of his campaigns.
  16.
  17. Eventually, King Maratuxa would grow old. Fear could not leave his mind, so he ordered the creation of a great tomb, to store his remains, his belongings, and a message.
  18. It is said that Maratuxa's wealth was unlike any other king of his time, greatly surpassing them, and that it is full of precious metals and gems of many kinds.
  19.
  20. The key to his tomb is his famous, jewel-adorned electrum crown. These jewels are unlike any other; cut in specific shapes to fit only his crown, he handpicked the most beautiful gemstones he could find: a star-shaped diamond, a golden topaz, a ruby, a sapphire and an emerald, each gem symbolizing each King of his kingdom.
  21. He removed every of the jewels, scattering them away, before hiding the crown itself. Each of the precious objects are said to be hidden in six of the most blessed spots in the entire world.
  22.
  23. A legend says that the one who can gather the crown and its jewels again, would hold the key to unlock his tomb and access his many riches, but also access the message that the King intended for the future generations of the Mazes.
  24. However, no-one knows what the message he hid was about. Legends say that it is a prayer to the Gods to bless the chosen one that will open his tomb, others believe it is a last will, to carry out his legacy and continue the greatness of his Kingdom.
  25.
  26. Eventually, the King died, and no-one had ever found his crown, nor any of the special jewels that were cut specially for it.
  27. His civilization eventually fell apart, proving the King's visions of impending doom as true, only for another society to take its place.
  28.
  29. I, Prisca de Stilcore, vow to find the King's tomb, the crown and its jewels, then open it to reveal its secrets to the modern world.
