  1. >”Because, Anon, you don’t need to bring a lethal weapon to a party.”
  2. >After a nice dinner made and provided by Twilight’s assistant Spike the Dragon, you and Twilight depart for Fluttershy’s cottage.
  3. >She, however, insisted you leave your blade behind.
  4. I was always told to keep my weapon on me at all times…
  5. >She giggles.
  6. >”Perhaps in Canterlot, maybe. But here in P0nyville…? Trust me, you’ll be fine without it for an evening.”
  7. >You look over to your left hip.
  8. >It feels so bare without your sheathe.
  9. >…only one evening.
  10. >The sun is beginning to set, and a beautiful dusk is bathed over P0nyville.
  11. >The pathway down towards Fluttershy’s cottage is truly breathtaking.
  12. >Trees line the path, and all sorts of animals mingle and play together.
  13. >Their noises, chirps, and scurrying reverberate throughout the air around you.
  14. >Birds, squirrels, rabbits…
  15. >…a bear?
  16. >You and Twilight halt in your tracks.
  17. >A large grizzly bear stands on the pathway, just before Fluttershy’s cottage.
  18. >Your muscles tense and you raise your guard as your eyes lock with this creature.
  19. >It looks incredibly angry.
  20. >Twilight takes notice of your change of position.
  21. >”Oh, don’t worry Anon. It’s just Mr. Bear.”
  22. >You look over to her quickly before setting your eyes back onto the beast.
  23. Mr. Bear? It has a name?
  24. >She nods, also gazing to the rather upset looking animal.
  25. >”Yes, he’s one of Fluttershy’s animals,” she observes its eyes, “although he does look rather worked up…”
  26. >Mr. Bear growls.
  27. >Suddenly, you can hear a door open not too far.
  28. >”Mr. Bear!” a voice calls.
  29. >The animal drops its gaze from you and turns around.
  30. >The little yellow mare herself flutters out to it.
  31. >”Mr. Bear! What are you doing? Scaring more of my guests?”
  32. >The bear crosses its arms and glares at Fluttershy, growling.
  33. >”Don’t you take that tone with me, mister! Now go play elsewhere, or I’ll make sure you learn your manners the hard way!”
  34. >The bear gives Fluttershy one last glare before setting its eyes on you, then turning around, dropping on all fours, and walking away toward the forest.
  35. >Fluttershy eyes him leave, then flies over to you two.
  36. >”Oh, I’m so sorry about that. I just don’t know what’s gotten into Mr. Bear, but he’s been really naughty as of late…” she says to Twilight
  37. >She turns to you.
  38. >”H-Hello, Anonymous. I’m… glad you could make it…” she smiles bashfully.
  39. >You smile at this awkward display, then bow to her.
  40. Of course, Miss Fluttershy, I’m most honored to attend a gathering at your residence.
  41. >She blushes profusely, then shakes it off.
  42. >”Um, p-please,” she says, extending a hoof to her house, “everyp0ny else is already here. They’re all dying to meet you…”
  43. >You look down to Twilight.
  44. >She smiles up at you.
  45. >”Well, shall we?” She asks.
  46. But of course.
  47. >Fluttershy leads you and your mentor into her cottage.
  48. >It’s a small, quaint place, with the soothing smell of animals blanketing the atmosphere.
  49. >As you enter, you see four other p0nies mingling around a tapped barrel.
  50. >”Th-This is my home, Anonymous…” Fluttershy mutters to you, “d-do you like it?”
  51. >You smile to her.
  52. It’s a very nice cottage, Miss Fluttershy. I—
  53. >”Oh Anonymous!~” a voice interrupts.
  54. >You snap your attention from Fluttershy and look to where your name was called.
  55. >A white unicorn swishing a wine glass with her magic begins sauntering over.
  56. Miss Rarity?
  57. >Oh my, this flirtatious mare is here?
  58. >Twilight turns to you.
  59. >”Oh, you’ve met Rarity already as well?”
  60. >You look down to her.
  61. Well, um, yes. I had the pleasure of—
  62. >You feel your hand coat in magic before being tugged strongly.
  63. >You nearly stumble as Rarity pulls you toward the tapped keg and the rest of the girls.
  64. >You glance back to the p0nies you entered with.
  65. >Twilight is smiling, talking to her company as she looks at you.
  66. >Fluttershy is…
  67. >…well, she looks…
  68. >…angry?
  69. >Why would she be—
  70. >”La~adies,” Rarity calls, interrupting your train of thought.
  71. >She already sounds pretty tipsy.
  72. >”This here’s Anonymous, the BRAVE knight who saved the Crusaders from that vicious timerwolf!”
  73. >The other mares eye you up and down, as if comparing your feat to your appearance.
  74. >You laugh nervously at the fluffed-up mention of your deed.
  75. >”I dunno…” a blue pegasus calls out.
  76. >She flies up to your eye level, getting right in your face, looking into your eyes.
  77. >”He seems a little scrawny… how could a guy like this take on an alpha timberwolf?”
  78. >You back up a bit from her sudden advance, a little flustered and overwhelmed.
  79. >”Rainbow Dash!” an accented voice yells to her, “show some respect!”
  80. >The blue pegasus, Rainbow Dash, flattens her eyebrows and flutters to the side.
  81. >An orange p0ny in a cowboy hat glares at her, before approaching you, taking off her headpiece, and placing it over her chest.
  82. >”Mr. Anonymous, I just want ta thank ye from the bottom of mah heart for savin’ ma little sister Applebloom.”
  83. >That accent…
  84. >Ah, the little yellow filly.
  85. >You smile,
  86. >And do a courteous bow.
  87. Of course, Miss. I only did what anybody else would have done.
  88. >The orange p0ny blushes a little.
  89. >”Wow, he’s a courteous one!” the pink p0ny in the corner chirps, bouncing up and down.
  90. >You smile, about to speak:
  91. >”I know, isn’t he a DREAM?”
  92. >Before being interrupted by Rarity.
  93. >She still has a grip on your hand with magic.
  94. >”Come Anonymous,” she says, taking a sip of her drink, “you MUST have a drink of wine with me.”
  95. Oh,
  96. >You say, finally squirming your hand from her grip.
  97. I’m sorry, Miss, but I don’t partake in any alcohol.
  98. >They all stare at you for a short time, then look at each other, smiling a little.
  99. >”Why not, Anonymous?” the orange one asks.
  100. Well…
  101. >Twilight and Fluttershy have finally come over to join the crowd.
  102. Alcohol can have a negative effect on any spells cast, or almost negate magic completely…
  103. >You look over to Rarity, who seems to be having a little trouble holding her glass up.
  104. …or so I’ve been told.
  105. >You think you hear Rainbow Dash snicker.
  106. Plus, I… don’t think I’d trust myself under the effects of it.
  107. >…
  108. >The p0nies are silent
  109. >…That was meant to be a joke.
  110. >Perhaps it went over their heads…
  111. >”He’s right, you know,” Twilight adds in,
  112. >As she’s tapping the keg of cider, ironically.
  113. >”But we aren’t practicing or studying, Anon. Are you sure you don’t want to try a drink?”
  114. >You shake your head and laugh a bit.
  115. Master Spellweave wouldn’t be pleased.
  116. >Twilight smiles.
  117. >”Okay Anon, if you’re sure.”
  118. >The orange p0ny laughs.
  119. >”T’s alright. Took us a bit ta break Twi here, too.”
  120. >Twilight smiles.
  121. >”And even then, I don’t drink that much…”
  122. >”That’s cuz yer a lightweight!”
  123. >The p0nies all laugh.
  124. >You laugh as well.
  125. >These six p0nies are quite the merry bunch.
  126. >”Applejack, by the way,” the orange mare says, holding out her hoof.
  127. >You smile, and grab it, giving it a shake.
  128. It’s a pleasure.
  129. >The other p0nies all introduce themselves as well.
  130.
  131. >Once everyone is settled in, Pinkie Pie brings out the snacks and party materials, really livening the place up.
  132. >The music gets going, the p0nies get drinking, and you mostly lean against the wall, arms crossed, head bobbing to the beat.
  133. >It’s quite a catchy tune.
  134. >You observe your new friends.
  135. >Applejack seems fairly coherent for how much cider she’s had.
  136. >You expected this much, she seems like the kind of p0ny to hold her alcohol.
  137. >Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash aren’t much worse for wear, but you can see the added fluidity in their motion.
  138. >Twilight Sparkle, your mentor, is really… tearing up the dance floor…
  139. >She looks horrendously silly.
  140. >You try your best to stifle a laugh as you watch her go.
  141. >Fluttershy seems…
  142. >Actually, she seems to be stumbling her way over to you right now…
  143. >You get up off the wall to greet your tipsy equine friend.
  144. Hello, Miss Fluttershy,
  145. >You say as she finally plants her hooves down in front of you.
  146. >She looks up at you with her big teal eyes and a smile on her face.
  147. I trust you’re having a good time?
  148. >She hiccups a little.
  149. >”Oh, definitely,” she slurs out, “I just love a good get-together with my friends.”
  150. >You look over to the p0nies once more.
  151. >Applejack seems to be trying to get Rarity, clearly the most intoxicated, to cease her wine drinking.
  152. >It doesn’t seem to be going over well.
  153. >You smile a bit, then look back down to Fluttershy.
  154. I can see why.
  155. >She grins, then sways a bit before letting loose a small giggle.
  156. >”You know…” she says, raising her hoof and placing it on your stomach.
  157. >You look down to her hoof, but don’t really react to it.
  158. > The barmaids back home used to get a little touchy in the tavern when they’d have a few as well.
  159. >It doesn’t ever mean anything.
  160. > “I’m usually a… pretty shy p0ny…”
  161. >You laugh outwardly at this.
  162. Dear Fluttershy, I gathered as much from the moment I met you.
  163. >She snorts a quick laugh.
  164. >”Yes, but… you know, I don’t have to be... always…”
  165. >You feel her hoof glide down slowly past your belt.
  166. >…What?
  167. >You reflexively snatch it with your hand, holding it still.
  168. >You raise your eyebrow at her.
  169. >She giggles.
  170. Miss Fluttershy, what are you—
  171. >”Heya, Anonymous!” you hear called from across the room.
  172. >Both you and Fluttershy guide your attention to the voice.
  173. >It was Applejack.
  174. >”Kin ya come over here for a spell?”
  175. >You nod your head at her, then look to Fluttershy and guide her hoof away from you.
  176. >”We’ll talk about this later… mkay?” she says with half lidded eyes.
  177. >You look questionably at Fluttershy.
  178. Okay…
  179. >You leave your spot and walk toward Applejack, keeping your eyes on Fluttershy as you do so, until your head no longer desires to turn and you look away.
  180. >…that most definitely had to be the alcohol talking.
  181. >Fluttershy doesn’t seem like that at all.
  182. >Not like…
  183. >You sigh a bit, then let out a soft laugh.
  184. >Her.
  185. >Ohh boy…
  186. >”Sorry to bother you, Anonymous,” Applejack says.
  187. >Rarity is on the floor, laughing at something that isn’t clear to either you or, by the looks of it, Applejack.
  188. >”She’s had a little much, and I’m tryin’ ta make sure she won’t have no more.”
  189. >You look down to her and laugh a little.
  190. That sounds like a fine idea.
  191. >”Yessir,” she responds, “but Ah have to go to the little filly’s room sum’n fierce, and Ah don’t want her drinkin’ none while Ah’m gone. You’re sober, right?”
  192. >You nod.
  193. >”Kin ya keep an eye on her for a bit while Ah’m gone?”
  194. It would be my pleasure, Applejack.
  195. >She smiles.
  196. >”Thank ya kindly, Anonymous. Ah’ll be back lickety split!”
  197. >And with that, she trots quickly off around the corner, presumably to the main floor bathroom.
  198. >You turn and look at Rarity, still laughing on the ground.
  199. >The laughter is contagious.
  200. How much have you had to drink, Miss?
  201. >You say with an air of playfulness as Rarity climbs back onto her hooves.
  202. >”ONLY a few glasses, Anonymous…” she slurs.
  203. >She charges up her horn, her magical aura coating the half full wine bottle across from her.
  204. >The spell fails, and the bottle simply shakes back and forth.
  205. >She puts on a pouting expression.
  206. >”I’m just going to have… one more…”
  207. >She gives up on magic and reaches over with her hooves, grabbing the bottle and going for a swig.
  208. >You spring into action.
  209. Oooh no you don’t.
  210. >You say, gripping the bottle as well.
  211. >”It’s just a si~ip, Anonymous!”
  212. Not even a sip!
  213. >You struggle back and forth with the bottle for a moment,
  214. >Until your grip is lost, and Rarity snags it from your hands.
  215. >The force causes the contents to swish up and out of the bottle, pouring onto Rarity’s head and mane.
  216. >She immediately gasps and looks to you with shocked eyes, as if it were your fault.
  217. >You freeze in place, not sure what to say.
  218. >They’re so full of sadness…
  219. >”Ano~onymous, look what you’ve done!”
  220. I didn’t… I mean… Miss Rarity, my deepest apologies!
  221. >She shakes her head sloppily at you.
  222. >”That’s NO way to treat a lady… come, you MUST help me clean this up RIGHT now…!”
  223. >She attempts to coat your hand in magic, yet fails again.
  224. >Instead, she wraps her hoof around your wrist and tugs you violently toward the staircase.
  225. O-Of course, Miss Rarity…
  226. >You DO feel bad for spilling wine on her.
  227. >That was most rude of you.
  228. >The least you could do is help her get it out of her mane.
  229. >She stomps up the stairs, grip on you, as you awkwardly bend over walking with her.
  230. >Once at the top of the stairs, she marches down the hallway.
  231. >Out of your peripheral vision, you think you see yourself pass the bathroom.
  232. Miss Rarity,
  233. >You say, eyes locked to the room you can no longer see into,
  234. I think we may have just passed where we can—
  235. >”Hush dear!”
  236. >She says, letting go of your arm and pushing you into a dark room.
  237. >It was actually rather forceful, and you stumble a bit before catching yourself.
  238. >The room is dark, and you can’t make out a whole lot.
  239. >But with the assistance of the moonlight, you can see the outline of a bed and dresser.
  240. >Oh… this must be Fluttershy’s room.
  241. >How impolite of you to be in here without her permission.
  242. >The sound of a door closing grabs your attention.
  243. >You twist your head around to the source of the noise.
  244. >Rarity is sauntering over toward you.
  245. >You’ve already long ago clued in to what was going on.
  246. >You let out a tired sigh and raise your hands up, palms toward her.
  247. Look Miss Rarity, I really don’t think that—
  248. >”No.”
  249. >She stands onto her hind legs and slams hard into your chest with her forelegs.
  250. >You go tumbling back, calves tripping over the edge of the bed, falling perfectly chest-up onto the mattress.
  251. >Rarity doesn’t waste a second hopping up and climbing on top of you.
  252. >”No talking. No cleaning. You’re mine.”
  253. >She brings her head down quickly, firmly planting her lips onto yours.
  254. >Your eyes widen with surprise.
  255. >You can feel her tongue trying to part your lips.
  256. >You twist your head quickly to break the kiss, then plant your forearm under her forelegs and press up, easily lifting her up and away.
  257. >She thrashes at you, horn flashing on and off as she tries desperately to get back to you.
  258. Miss Rarity!
  259. >You yell finally, once the initial shock of what she actually did wears off.
  260. Please, control yourself! What is the meaning of this?
  261. >She flails her forelegs over your forearm for a second more, before stopping abruptly and launching herself backward.
  262. >She lands right between your legs and begins gnawing at your belt.
  263. >You instantly sit up and grasp her head, prying it off.
  264. Miss Rarity, please!
  265. >She focuses away from your crotch and meets your eyes.
  266. >They encapsulate drunken lust.
  267. >”Anonymous…” she groans.
  268. >But her slurred speech is cut short.
  269. >A large crash, followed by several screams, is heard from downstairs.
  270. >Both you and Rarity dart your heads toward the door.
  271. >Another crash.
  272. >You nearly fling the white mare off of you as you race over to the door, swinging it open and rushing downstairs.
  273. >You arrive on the main floor and observe the area.
  274. >The table of snacks has been flipped over and the door is torn off its hinges.
  275. >The p0nies are all outside, wide eyed and mouths agape.
  276. >They look terrified.
  277. >”Mr. Bear, please calm down!” you hear.
  278. >You rush outside to meet the other p0nies.
  279. What’s happening?!
  280. >You bellow as you slide next to them.
  281. >”Mr. Bear’s gone haywire!” Applejack yells.
  282. >You dart your eyes over to the small field next to the cottage.
  283. >Fluttershy is fluttering around a large chaotic mass, pleading with it to cease its actions.
  284. >The bear swats out with his arm, knocking Fluttershy up into the air then down in front of you all.
  285. >Rainbow Dash rushes over to see if she’s okay.
  286. >”Twilight!” she beckons as she does, “Can’t you do anything about that rampaging grizzly?”
  287. >…no, she can’t.
  288. >You can already see it.
  289. >Twilight is attempting to cast all manner of spells, but nothing is working for her.
  290. >”I… I can’t!”
  291. >The p0nies gasp.
  292. >Mr. Bear roars loudly and darts his head around to meet your watchful eyes.
  293. >They’re so full of… anger, and… hatred…
  294. >Fluttershy begins to get up, rubbing her sore head.
  295. >You look to all the terrified p0nies…
  296. >Twilight looks over to you.
  297. >You can see it in her scared eyes.
  298. >…you know.
  299. >You step forward and whip your arm out in front of the p0nies.
  300. Stay back! I’ll handle this!
  301. >They don’t argue, and quickly back up to a safer distance.
  302. >The bear slowly stomps toward you, growling under its breath, before standing still and uttering a deep, primal roar at you.
  303. >You swing your hand over to your left hip.
  304. >…empty!?
  305. >You dart your head and look.
  306. >Oh no, that’s right!
  307. >You look back.
  308. >Well, no blade this time…
  309. >No matter, you shouldn’t need it!
  310. >Approaching the creature slowly, your eye Mr. Bear’s once more.
  311. >You have a small stand-off as you both size each other up in that open field.
  312. >Your eyes meet…
  313. …BRONTE!
  314. >You yell, whipping out your fingers in front of you.
  315. >Blue streams of electricity jet from your fingertips toward the grizzly.
  316. >He quickly sidesteps it, narrowly avoiding your quick attack.
  317. >Your bolts scrape and dance against the field and a few trees before you tighten your hand to a fist and bring it close to you again, ceasing the spell.
  318. >”No, Anonymous, please!” you hear yelled from behind you.
  319. >You whip your head around to see a pleading Fluttershy.
  320. >”Please, don’t hurt him!”
  321. >Don’t hurt him!?
  322. >”Anon, look out!!” Twilight bellows.
  323. >You dart your head around just in time to see Mr. Bear charging at you.
  324. >He rugby tackles you, bowling you completely over.
  325. >You slam hard into the ground on your back, then flip over quickly, propped up on one knee.
  326. >Dammit! Don’t hurt him? How are you going to manage that?!
  327. >You only know combat spells!
  328. >You haven’t practiced any non-lethal ones!
  329. >Mr. Bear begins to follow up his attack, bringing a sharp clawed paw down straight for you.
  330. >You dive out of the way, rolling back up onto your feet.
  331. >Okay, non-lethal spells! Non-lethal spells! You KNOW you’ve read the names of a few of them!
  332. >The bear charges once more, stabbing forward with his paw.
  333. >You leap backward just in time, then sidestep another vertical claw before being batted by his other arm.
  334. >The hit was forceful, and you fling to the ground and drag across it for a bit.
  335. >You grit your teeth and climb back to your feet once more.
  336. >This bear looks terrifyingly angry.
  337. >What could have caused this?
  338. >He lets out another guttural roar and charges once more.
  339. >Your mind is in a scramble.
  340. >You HAVE to know a few!
  341. >Think!
  342. >…ah!
  343. >You dive out of the way of another tackle attempt.
  344. >Here goes nothing!
  345. >You roll on the ground then launch to your feet.
  346. >You open your palm toward the bear and yell:
  347. LUMEN!
  348. >A blinding light erupts from your palm.
  349. >The entire landscape in front of you is flashed, and Mr. Bear begins to cry out as he presses into his eyes, trying to relieve the pain you’ve inflicted.
  350. >Nice job!
  351. >But you aren’t through yet!
  352. >You briefly cup your hands to your side, then rocket them out together towards your foe:
  353. VENTUS!
  354. >Your hands almost launch back into your chest as a forceful wind is jet from your palms.
  355. >It bowls over the towering creature in front of you, his body crashing down hard into the earth below.
  356. >But he’ll just get up again if you don’t do something…!
  357. >…yes!
  358. >You sprint over as quickly as you can, flinging yourself up onto Mr. Bear, straddling his chest.
  359. >You clasp your hand down onto his head, right over his eyes and forehead.
  360. >Here we go!:
  361. SOMNUS!
  362. >A pink aura glows softly from your hand, seeping into the skull of the angry grizzly.
  363. >He twitches his nose and darts his head left and right, before slowly lidding his eyes and passing out.
  364. >The towering creature snores loudly as he snoozes on the grass.
  365. >…you did it.
  366. >You pant loudly, stepping off of the hulking mass as you try to catch your breath.
  367. >The sound of galloping hooves is soon upon you.
  368. >Your neck is assaulted by yellow forelegs.
  369. >”Oh Anonymous, you truly ARE a hero!” Fluttershy bellows as she wraps you in a tight hug.
  370. >You’re taken a bit by surprise, then let out a relieving laugh, gripping her hooves and prying them off of you.
  371. >The other four p0nies soon approach you too.
  372. >”WOW, Anonymous! That was SO cool!” Rainbow shouts. “I can’t believe I ever doubted you!”
  373. >Twilight trots up with a shocked look on her face.
  374. >”Anon… you never told me you could perform THOSE spells…”
  375. >You pause for a moment, then scratch behind your head and laugh a bit.
  376. Well… I didn’t really know I could…
  377. >She reels back in surprise.
  378. >”What!?”
  379. >You straighten yourself out a bit, taking a slightly more serious tone.
  380. I’ve read them in a few spellbooks before… but that’s about it. I’ve never practiced them or anything.
  381. >Her mouth gapes even wider.
  382. >”Anon, that’s… that’s INCREDIBLE! How do you even…?”
  383. >She gasps again and lowers her eyes to the ground, trying to make head or tail of the situation.
  384. >Applejack steps in, “Well, when it comes down to it, we should all be thankful Anonymous wus here t’ help us.”
  385. >You nod your head to AJ, as if to thank her.
  386. >She returns it.
  387. >”Still, Ah wonder…” she says, walking over to the snoozing grizzly. “Whatch’all think made Mr. Bear here act all crazy?”
  388. >Fluttershy flies over, looking at her animal friend.
  389. >”I… I don’t know! He’s NEVER acted like that before!”
  390. >You walk over, arms crossed, in thought.
  391. His eyes.
  392. >You state.
  393. >The other p0nies look to you.
  394. Never before have I seen a creature with those eyes. Beacons of hatred and malice…
  395. >You think it over some more.
  396. And Mr. Bear is normally a passive creature?
  397. >Fluttershy looks to you, then nods slowly.
  398. >You exhale a lung-full of breath.
  399. Most curious…
  400. >You and the others share a moment of silence, the air thick with puzzlement.
  401. >”Well, let’s not worry about it now,” Applejack says. “I think we ought ta call it a night after that.”
  402. >She looks up to the second floor of the house.
  403. >”…’Spose I’M the one who’ll have ta carry Rarity home…”
  404. >The other p0nies break the air of seriousness with a hearty laugh.
  405. >You laugh a bit as well.
  406. >But your mind…
  407. >You look over to the bear.
  408. >…is still troubled.
  409.
  410. >The sun just begins to rise over the landscape, offering what little morning light it can in the room.
  411. >You read over the lines carefully, turning the page when you need to, or rereading certain parts.
  412. >The door slowly opens as Spike enters with a steaming cup, placing it on the table next to you.
  413. >”Here you go, Anon. I brought you some tea.”
  414. >You look up to the dragon from your book, and smile.
  415. Thank you, Spike.
  416. >You say, gripping the cup and blowing the steam from the top.
  417. >You take a sip.
  418. >It’s delicious.
  419. >”Any time, man.” Spike replies.
  420. >He notices your concentration, and quietly leaves the room.
  421. >You continue reading, taking sips of your warm tea periodically.
  422. >After a few more moments, the door opens once again.
  423. >Twilight Sparkle reveals herself from behind it, slowly walking into the room as she holds a hoof to her head.
  424. >”I think I’ll hold out on drinking for a while…” she says as she approaches you.
  425. >You dart your eyes to her, your heart almost skipping a beat.
  426. Y-Yeah… maybe…
  427. >You sputter, closing the book in front of you.
  428. >She notices this, and raises an eyebrow.
  429. >”What are you reading, Anon?”
  430. >She gets closer to check out the tome in front of you.
  431. N-Nothing!
  432. >You say, but your cover is already blown.
  433. >Twilight scans the cover, then flips the book open and breezes through a few pages.
  434. >”Levitation… manipulation… Anon… are you reading over… practical spells?”
  435. >She closes the book and looks over to you perplexed.
  436. >”I thought you said you don’t focus on these?”
  437. >You smile bashfully and try to think of a quick reply.
  438. >Twilight looks at you puzzled, before something clicks in her mind, and she smiles.
  439. …What…?
  440. >She shakes her head.
  441. >”Nothing, Anon…”
  442. >She looks back down to the book.
  443. >”You know, we don’t ONLY need to go over combat spells… if you want to get training in simple ones too, you can.”
  444. >She looks back up and smiles at you.
  445. >At first, you’re a little embarrassed.
  446. >Then, her heartwarming smile and calming eyes set in.
  447. >Your shocked heart melts, and you feel absolutely comfortable with her.
  448. …Sure, Twilight. I’d love that.
  449. >She smiles back.
  450. >”Okay,” she says, levitating the book and leaving the room. “We will. Be ready for today’s lessons in two hours, okay?”
  451. >You nod your head happily.
  452. Of course.
  453.
