  1. So I have this idea for a indie horror game. I know, a lot of horror games out there already but I want this one to be different from others.
  2.
  3. First of all, in the game you play as a paranormal investigator. Maps would be completely Free Roam and the main objective would be to find substantial evidence to prove whether a location is haunted or not.
  4.
  5. Ideas for locations;
  6. -Abandoned Prisons
  7. -Old Theaters
  8. -Old Lighthouses
  9. -Concentration Camps
  10. -Restaurants
  11. -Hotels
  12. -ETC (End of Thinking Capacity)
  13.
  14. From the main menu (which will preferably be interactive) if you were to press the button to start the game ("Play" or whatever will be decided on), the screen would shift to a van, the camera positioned in a way to look as though you were sitting in a chair. The van will have monitors inside it, and they will be used to select a map to play on.
  15.
  16. Once inside the map, you start out near the van (back doors will be open, revealing the equipment and whatnot). From a table outside the van you will get all your necessary equipment (Flashlight, EVP Recorder, EMF Meter, Ghost/Spirit Box, Thermal Camera, Full Spectral Camera, any other possible equipment you would be able to think of).
  17.
  18. All these different equipment will serve a crucial part in this game and will be used to capture evidence, which will in the end be used to decide whether a location is haunted or not.
  19.
  20. Nowhere throughout this game can you be killed or injured, although there will be minor jumpscares throughout the maps.
  21.
  22. The Equipment;
  23. -Flashlight: Used as a light source. Runs on batteries and can break (if broken, make your way back to the van an get more batteries [can carry up to 6 batteries on yourself]).
  24. -EVP Recorder: Can be used anytime within the game. When selected, right clicking turns it on and brings up a list of questions to be asked. By asking a question you will either hear a response or nothing but static, although evidence can only be played through after recording by right clicking again.
  25. -EMF Meter: Can be used anytime within the game. Constantly working, and shows a meter at the top. When in a hotspot for electromagnetic fields, meter goes up and device emits a fast clicking noise. Helps to show the best places to capture evidence
  26. -Ghost/Spirit Box: Is the size of a cellphone, but with multiple electronics attached to it. Switches through a wide array of radio frequencies in the hopes of capturing a voice. Voices can be heard in real time using this device.
  27. -Thermal Camera: Can be used to find "coldspots" which may show that a spirit is trying to manifest itself. Can also be used to see spirits via heat-signatures.
  28. -Full Spectral Camera: Used to take pictures. Some spirits only show up on film. Flash can also be used as a light source if flashlight breaks/batteries run out.
  29.
  30. Any ideas on equipment can also be discussed.
  31.
  32.
  33. I am not sure if these things can be achieved in Unity, but it would be interesting to see.
  34.
  35.
  36.
  37. I am in need of;
  38. Someone skilled with Unity and Script-Writing
  39. An Animator
  40. Voice Actors [Only needed at a later stage]
  41.
  42. I have some experience with 3D modelling, texturing, rigging, and as well as creating sounds. Anyone willing to help with making 3D Models will be gladly appreciated.
  43.
  44. [NOTE: This game is to be made completely for fun and within whatever freetime we can muster up. There will be no revenue whatsoever, although any donations received will be shared among the group depending on how much input is given by each person (i.e: you don't give much input, we don't give much money). Team work is a must, and any ideas are welcome to be shared. There is NO deadline, although anything above 5 years is waaaaaaayyyyyy too long lol.]
