  76. Bio: Geoffrey was born in small village in Karlt, near the Toubriar border; his father a wood carver from Toubriar and his mother from Lenon. His mother died when Geoffrey was in his early teens, the cause: complications during the birth of Geoffrey's younger brother, Theo. Though Geoffrey originally blamed Theo for his mother's death, he eventually dealt with the pain of losing his mother and he moved on. He became close with his younger sibling and looked after him during the day for his father and did his best to instill a love for wood carving in his brother's mind.
  77.
  78. Years passed and all was well and good, Geoffrey had finally gained enough skill to be considered a wood carver and he was set to move out and find a place of his own within the month. However, about a week before he was to depart, he woke up in the middle of the night to find the village ablaze. Fearing the worst he grabbed the nearest weapon he could find and ran outside, only to be floored by a blow to the back of his head. Apparently the Thurlow, a bandit gang that his father was somehow connected to, had taken Theo hostage, promising his safe return if Geoffrey's father dueled their leader to the death. To Geoffrey's amazement, his father displayed an amazing amount of skill for supposedly being a simple wood carver and it seemed as though the pair were evenly matched.
  79.
  80. However it was not to be. His father lopped the bandit's right arm off, though as soon as he did the man plunged a dagger into his chest, as if he was fine with sacrificing an arm for victory. Geoffrey stumbled to his feet and charged at the man in a blind rage. The man easily dodged and in return slashed at Geoffrey as he passed, cutting across his face, stating that killing him wasn't with his time. The bandits surprisingly kept their word and Theo was freed; however the pair off brothers now had no home and no family. They set out in the morning to find a new place to call home and managed to find a relative of their mother in Lenon. They lived there a few years, Geoffrey finding work as a wood carver and Theo freeloading at their relative's place. Eventually their relative started to demand more money, as it became more expensive to feed the two, to the point where Geoffrey could no longer afford it with his earnings as a wood carver.
  81.
  82. In order to ensure Theo wouldn't be forced into labor Geoffrey resigned as a wood carver and took up a more profitable, though far more dangerous profession: a hired sword. It allowed Geoffrey to make more than enough to pay his relative and whenever he took down bandits he saw it as a bonus. He secretly hoped he would eventually cross paths with the one armed bandit so that he could exact vengeance for his father though he never did. He left the company when they decided to head beyond the Karlt-Itola border and instead started up his own mercenary company. He still sends most of his share to his relative in Lenon, longing for the day when he no longer has to so that he may return to carving wood like his father before him.
