  2. Also quick journal update for giggles since we have had happenings occur in town.
  3.
  4. >Another day another update eh Princess?
  5. >Well thinks to report on that are of note, we have quicker harvests that seem to grow like crazy, some forest fire got started, and Shreck came to visit the town.
  6.
  7. >Now so far I had worked myself silly for the farm in the first season, buuuut I did managed to get an extra bit of food out of it.
  8. >Though it was only later that it dawned on me that no matter how well you do to improve the farm if you only have a small acreage to feed ponies you are going to wind up with just a small fraction of what you wanted.
  9. >Eh, not sure if I described that properly, I meant I need alot of land to grow enough food for alot of ponies.
  10. >Otherwise you run into the issue of not enough food from the plants even if they give you like five fruits for every plant versus the 2 fruits from every plant if the feild holding said plants where 10 acres against 50 acres.
  11. >It just doesn't work that way so we had to expand further out leading to me having a bunch of ponies working for me while I supervise as needed.
  12. >So after that me and Greenhoof traded plant seeds that we scavenged from the plants that went to seed.
  13. >He got wheat while I got the peas, so lets hope those legums keep my land fertile eh Princess?
  14.
  15. >Now the next piece of news is that a big camp party thing had been thrown for some ponies and their friends out of the west gate of the town, heh we getting fancy now with out gates and walls, granted they are wooden walls but it's an improvement and that's what counts!
  16. >Anyway the ponies where having a cook out in the west campgrounds that someone had flattened down after some kinda weird magic stuff went on there, cool thing to note was that the area was really pleasant almost like it had air conditioning or central heat as the place was a nice warm temperature in our northern home.
  17. >Some of my friends had even been there like Greenhoof, High Tide, Flora, Mercury and well she isn't really a friend more like a friend of a friend who I somewhat know Hazel.
  18. >While they were enjoying themselves Greenhoof told me that there was something scaring of the birds from their homes to the south west then after that smoke was seen from there!
  19. >They all went to investigate the issue and found out that it was some strange creature of fire made of a pony and snake fused together, like take the bottom of a snake and the top of a pony and you'd get an idea, except made of fire!
  20. >Attempts to talk it down didn't seem to work as it was approaching the town with single mindedness and the ponies who went to stop it attacked.
  21. >They wounded the creature I think, or at least that is what Greenhoof said, when it reached the campsite.
  22. >Once there it started to do some strange magical stuff to the ground making it look like lava was trying to crack up and the area's I guess Feng Shea has felt off ever since.
  23.
  24. >Everyone was able to stop it using some ice and water that was laying about from the party to send it fleeing but the issue remained that the creature had gone through the forest, and as it is summer, the forest never had a chance.
  25. >I saw the smoke and thought it was just someone burning their trash like I was doing when I got a message from a fellow pegasis to hurry and gather the other fliers as they needed rains over the western forest.
  26. >Before I could have asked what was wrong the fly boy was already gone in a flash leaving me standing there with some trash to be burnt.
  27. >So I tossed it onto the barrel, told Lucy to mind the house and took off to see what the deal was.
  28. >Have you ever seen a forest fire Princess?
  29. >It's rather pretty, in a pyromanic self destructive kind of way, but that wasn't the point as I hurried over to where I could see a bunch of pegasi hovering as one pegasis was giving orders.
  30. >Turns out it was none other than Golden Touch who was giving the orders as he had teams of fliers gather up clouds and other teams work on gathering more clouds from the skies or rivers.
  31. >Seeing me Golden nodded to me before saying they needed more clouds as the flames where spreading fast.
  32. >I took off like a drop of water falling to the ground when I bumped into none other than Chinook on the way there.
  33. >Chinny looked a bit panicked but it was held at bay with a hardened exterior as he told me that we'd better hurry.
  34. >I made the joke that at least we got to have another race which made the stallion chuckled a bit as we arrived at the river and began to work in unison to draw up clouds from the river for other fliers to take off with them.
  35. >We kept the work up even as our bodies began to tire out and our coats became slick with sweat we continued.
  36. >Actually fell into a trance doing the same motions again and again to draw more water into a cloud for ponies to take before I was tapped on the shoulder to see it was Lucy looking concerned telling me that we were done.
  37. >Feldspar was there already talking with Chinook who was already out of it looking fit to pass out leaning against his lover.
  38. >Nuzzling against me Lucy had told me that they had finished with the fires and that everyone was going home, I asked her if anyone was hurt but she had told me that no one was.
  39. >That was a godsend to hear, as I think I had passed out at that point.
  40. >I woke up later with Lucy by my bed making sure I was well as she checked my vitals and brought me some of her...cooking.
  41. >I love her I really do but this mare can't cook.
  42. >It was only when she told me that it was made by Hearth who had come over to help did I relax the hidden tension that went through my body when I heard of Lucy's offer for food.
  43. >So for a few days I lazed about as I got my strength back and went back to work on the farm.
  44.
  45. >After all that work went on as normal the trio had come by to tell me they were moving out of my barn to live in their own homes, felt odd watching them go.
  46. >None the less it was nice to free up the room in the barn for storage as there is a lot of stuff you have to keep track of at times.
  47. >Rosie had come by to visit as well she had wanted to get a small break from taking care of Coral, I offered to let her stay with me for a few hours but she just gave me a dead pan look before saying no.
  48. >I tried to convince her it would be a great idea she'd get to have alone time with Quick, no crying child to care for all that jazz but Rosie refused to budge on it and when I asked her why she replied it was because I made Coral cry.
  49. >What ensued next was some pillow fighting which resulted in me being pinned down by pillow fire as Lucy had walked in from her lab table wondering what was going on only to receive a pillow to the face from the cross fire.
  50. >The pillow fell down from Lucy's face and she calmly said to Rosie as three more pillows where lifted up from the battleground "Of course you know this means war."
  51. >Eventually we all tired except for Lucy, darn her fey based endurance and Rosie had to beg off from having supper before leaving for the night.
  52.
  53. >It was a few days later when Lucy had mentioned to me that having some kind of fire fighter response team might have been a great thing to have had for the whole forest fire problem espicially if it were to happen in the town.
  54. >Taking that idea to heart I thanked Lucy for it with a kiss and a hug then bustled over to talk with Nova about the idea for abit.
  55. >What followed was a long explaination and brain storming of an idea before the rough draft of a fire truck was created.
  56. >A mobile platform that would hold a single tank that had a hoof pumped hose that works like a water gun to spray water out when the trigger was pressed down on.
  57. >I personally worry that the amount of times you need to pump it might not even be worth it due to the fact that you only have so much pressure that can be built up and it might not be enough to spray enough water on say a burning house.
  58. >Yet I was tired and was wanting to head home when I heard an ungodly sound reveberate across the town.
  59. >It sounded like a lion crossed with a crossed with an elephant and it chilled my blood to the bone when I remembered hearing this sound before.
  60. >A troll.
  61. >I took off to the sound thoughts rushing through my head trying to figure out why something like that was so close to town, why was it here, was it after Lucy, did the fey want their due?
  62. >Terrified I came onto the scene to see a green troll laying smashed against the inn where it's body had caused insurmontable damage to it while a few ponies worked to try killing it.
  63. >I was about to dive in and help when I heard that there were children inside and I admit I panicked a bit but before my own eyes they were soon hauled out by Lemon Drop and some other mare I hadn't met.
  64. >Flying down I picked up a babe and some new mare I had never met before when I heard the troll grunt in pain.
  65. >Scared I hurried myself right out of the way letting the idiots go toe to toe with the troll as I wanted no part in that espically when there were children on the field.
  66. >It was only when we had reached the walls and where well on our way to the clinic did I hear that the troll had just, walked away from the town.
  67. >I was confused why would it leave did it just get bored?
  68. >None the less I am thankful that it left and it wasn't some ploy for Lucy by those dratted fey.
  69.
  70. >All in all Princess it's been a pretty damn funky week out of the month, it crazy really.
  71. >Heres to hoping your doing well in your Princess duties and you still have time for a good book to read!
  72. >Rain Drop.
