  1. Hello Youtube
  2. Hello Facebook
  3.
  4. Hello the world overall!
  5. My name is Morgan James Does Games, and I'm going to talk to you about something pretty weird that I stumbled upon while discussing something here in the collosaasssasaaal (fucking hell I can spell) server here on discord.
  6.
  7. Pretty much the alternative timeline thing.
  8.
  9. For every choice, there is a timeline or alternative reality where that choice is not made, or a slightly exact one IS made, but for a slightly different reason.
  10.
  11. But the weird thing here is that no matter what path the person takes or doesn't take, both choices are simultaneously made, regardless of free will.
  12.
  13. So in essence we're all fucking puppets of the universe forever damned to be making the same choices in a fucking segmented pathway of ultimate damnation, so what's the point of all of this?
  14. It's an interesting line of thought that might have some interesting consequences for a line of thought about the recurring dreams or theme of being trapped in a loop of time.
  15.
  16. It's actually a pretty popular trope in movies and some such, where everyone but the hero is blissfully unaware, the hero tries to find out how to either break the loop or live with it.
  17.
  18. I've actually touched on this subject multiple times in stories and attempted RPG Maker projects, the objectivity, but no where is this theme more present than in the games of Stranger than Life/fiction/whatever and Undertale, as well as a few other games of pretty awesome renown, like Chrono trigger, where the game actually makes you wait a certain amount of time before you can progress!
  19. choices are choice, and Undertale is pretty detailed example of it, with a fun srange, or factor, or a random determination of just what's actually in the game, I think matpat explained better than I can.
  20.
  21. Imagine looking through the bottom of a diamond, the fractured imagery, like looking through a flies eyes. Now picture in each of those, a man buying a hot dog, and being asked what condiments he wants on it.
  22. the amount of ingredients isn't infinite, but the decisions he makes regarding that are pretty interesting in and of them selves.
  23. With just the regular ingredients of ketchup, mustard, relish, horseradish, onions, cheese, chili, and one or two others, based on that alone, you have around 40 different combos right then and there.
  24.
  25. Where does the fractured imagery com into play?
  26. Well, imagine for a second that in each refraction of the diamond, the man makes a different choice regarding what he wants on the hotdogs, but at the same time, when looked at in the big picture, he's already decided on a all of the condiments in one section or another, all in all, it's pretty interesting topic of discussion.
  27.
  28. And yes, I've been largely ignoring the chat to focus on this.
  29. What they don't realize is that the viewers can just focus on the text insert box instead of the chat itself. so their pointless memeing is pointless.
