Hi, I'd like to say that my friends and I do not appreciate how UWE has handled their latest updates.

Within my group, we love content creators. They add replay-ability and foster a sense of camaraderie when playing together. However, the most recent updates to NS2 have broken the competitive league and undermined the work of these content creators.

Meanwhile, the modding scene has been on a huge decline. The veterans who played these mods are irreparably angered at UWE for taking a game we loved and flipping it upside down. I'm sure you can tell, people are constantly getting banned from UWE forums for expressing how they feel about the changes. When we discuss how bad things are, we get ignored!

The community is seriously angry, as you can see by how many posts have been moderated.

I feel like UWE is ditching veterans in favor of rookies. This is a dangerous move, as these veterans are the people who spread the word, buy the skins and play everyday. I'm quite certain a lot of us feel this way because I have 100 steam friends that I met on NS2. The majority of us feel let-down by UWE. We feel that UWE has reached a point where they are disconnected with their target audience.

For example, there was a poll on the forums where we asked if the new health bar changes were good. The overwhelming majority voted NO, yet that poll is nowhere to be seen anymore.

I'm sending this to you so that you can see my point of view, the view of a veteran who lost his favorite game literally overnight. (Patch 294). I implore you to rethink your idea of "refreshing ns2". The reality is that the veterans DO NOT feel refreshed, and the player counts are NOT increasing at all. These frequent and MASSIVELY POLARIZING changes are not healthy for anybody involved.
