Act I: Betrayal

I was told that even the darkest of times you can still see the light, but as the final moments of my life go on, I see that even the darkest of times gets darker. The light you once saw starts to fade away, almost non-existent. I'm sinking in the darkness. I grow colder. I can't hold on to my breath any longer. The light I was so dependent on; the hope that was there unexpectedly faded a way along with my consciousness. Everything went black......

Unknown Location: Winter 2032

??? (Me): (wakes up) …. what is going on (starts to look around)
???(Not Me): (shouting down room) Well look who finally started to wake up.
??? (Me): What? ….. what do you mean?
???(Not Me): (Walks up towards me with tea) Well I was gonna have this, but I don't mind having to make another one. Here take it.
???(Me): (In a daze) Sarah...?
???(Not Me): Sarah? I'm pretty sure we don't look THAT alike, but my name is Trish.
???(Me): Sorry, everything is still blurry to me. My name is Dave by the way.
Trish: Nice to meet you then Dave. Now, then if you and me are talking about the same Sarah that I'm talking about I am glad to say, that I am a friend of hers.
Dave: That's nice, but how did I get here.
Trish: I don't know. I was sleeping one night, and the next thing I know you're on the couch sleeping with a note on your forehead that said “take care of him” on it. Sarah must have picked you up along the way and brought you here.
Dave: But that makes no sense. I was.... I was.... (tries to think)
Trish: Calm down calm down. Just start from the beginning of what happen and we can go from there ok?
Dave: …. You have no idea who I am, hell if you know Sarah she's definitely hasn't told you what she's been up to then either.
Trish: What that she worked for the SSL? She's told me everything about that.
Dave: Worked?
Trish: Yea.... she had to go on an emergency trip to somewhere and had to quit for a while. She stops by here time to time, but is always on the run whenever she can.
Dave: Well then, since you know I can tell you this much. They got rid of me.
Trish: Why's that?
Dave: It's a long story Trish, you better make your tea first before we get started.....

48 Hours Earlier.... on a Sky Scraper
Dave: (Looking through binoculars) Hmmm you think that's him?
Armia: (Looking through binoculars) Yea, I think that's him.
Dave: What do you mean think? I need to know. We can destroy an innocent's life if we aren't sure.
Armia: (Sighs) Yea I'm sure.
Dave: Good then, see why we make such a great team?
Armia: Look Dave, as much as you like teaming up with me or whatever, I don't feel the same. There is A LOT of other people I can team up with just as well.
Dave: ….
Armia: Let's just capture him.
Dave: Ok then, let's get him. I'll get the zip line out. (Fires zip line towards building closest to target)
Armia: Now remember Dave, we just capture him and that's it. We don't talk to him, we don't barter with him, nothing.
Dave: Ok then (Goes down zip line)
Target: (on phone) Yep.... yep.... ok.... well let me see what I can do about th- (Gets knocked down by Dave)
Dave: Hey buddy, we meant to do no harm. Me and my excellent partner here I just gonna-
Armia: DAVE!!!! WHAT DID I TELL YOU. YOU SUCK AS A PARTNER! I WOULDN'T EVEN CALL YOU A GOOD PARTNER!!!!
Target: You guys could always just let me go.
Dave: Shut up (pulls out gun) I will kill you if you say one more thing.
Armia: Dave Dave Dave. We need him alive. Why would you kill him?
Dave: Because Armia, you are getting on my nerves. Hell I bet you this guy would make a better partner than you anyway.
Target: You really think so?
Armia: (Starts looking angry)
Dave: Yes, yes you are. In fact give me your name son, maybe you should join us. With a little training
and such. You can be my partner... and-
Armia: (Fires gun at Target)
Dave: …. WOW OK Armia! Don't get mad at me when I'm trying to find a pal when you ca-
Armia: (Points gun at Dave) Dave, I will shoot you if you are gonna keep acting stupid.
Dave: You know what Armia, I'm tired of your shit. You wanna talk to Commander N.C. About why we just failed the mission go right ahead. But I'm leaving. (Walks away)

Present:
Trish: So what, you just left?
Dave: I left her yes, but it's not like she cared anyway. Sure she says she doesn't want to be my partner, yet whenever I try to find a replacement she stops from doing so.
Trish: So what did you do after you left.
Dave: Probably the biggest mistake I've ever done. I went back.....

SSL HQ 24 Hours From Present:
Dave: (Walks up to desk) Sup Shane.
Shane: …. What are you doing here Dave?
Dave: I came back to pay the commander a visit for my next mission.
Shane: …. Ok then. He's in his office, I'll let you pay him a visit. He's top floor.
Dave: Thanks Shane. (Walks off)
Shane: (Watching Dave walk away) Heh (Smirks and shakes his head) this is gonna be a great day.

Dave: (Walks in Commander N.C.'s office) Why hello commander.
(Everybody in the office looks at Dave)
N.C. : No no no no. Get out.
Dave: Wha- nah. What's going on?
N.C. : You said you were gonna leave go!
Dave: (Getting angry) Look, if it's about what happened with the last mission between Armia and I. I should let you know, it's her fault for failing the mission.
N.C. : You know Dave, I've already talked to Armia about this. She was really pissed off at you based on your performance. I gave you plenty of chances to do well in the “business” we participate in, however YOU CAN'T EVEN DO A SIMPLE CAPTURE MISSION RIGHT! So just leave, and don't come back.
Dave: Nah I'm gonna stay right here.
Glen: (Standing Next to N.C.) No Dave, get out. Nobody wants you here. Just leave.
N.C.: You are doing nothing but messing everything up. Now get out before I make you get out.
Dave: Ha! Make ME, get out. You are better off just leaving yourself.
Glen: Dammit Dave! Why do we have to leave? Clearly you're the problem. No just leave.
Dave: Glen shut up. You don't even know what's going on in the first place.
N.C.: Yea but I do! Now you are just pissing me off Dave. Just get out of here and don't come back.
Dave: (Turns around and looks out window) You know. I'm standing my ground here. It's Armia's fault. Maybe if she was a lot better and didn't play me around. The whole world is better off, but instead you guys choose a heartless bi-
Glen: (Kicks Dave Through Window)

Present:
Dave: So then I was kicked from a five story window. I'm glad that the commander loves the ocean view I guess. I got kicked through the window, and into the water. I was so dramatized by the fact I got kicked out, I couldn't do anything. I just sat there and started sinking into the cold water.
Trish: Well that seems like quite the interesting story then.
Dave: Yea... (Starts to realize something) Shit shit shit.
Trish: What?
Dave: I just noticed something. I'm glad you are Sarah's friend and all, but I can't be here. Once she hears from the others about what I did she won't kill me.
Trish: She won't.
Dave: Yea, she will torture me to near death, wait for me to get better and repeat for the rest of my life. I gotta get out of here.
Trish: No, no Dave. I'm saying she won't do anything to you. Sarah is a nicer person than what people think she is. She's a gentle kind loving lady behind the throat tearing terror people see in her.
Dave: Yea, but when she hears about the situation between Armia and I....
Trish: Calm down Dave, I'm pretty sure she isn't gonna freak out on you that badly. Besides her and Armia had a little talk a little while ago. Sarah doesn't feel the same way she felt about Armia a month ago.
Dave: Well I still can't take any chances. You seem like a nice person though, so I guess it's safe for now (Puts on coat)
Trish: So what are you gonna do now?
Dave: Welp I just got kicked out of the “business” for someone else wrong doings and they choose to blame me for. So I'm gonna go fight them back.
Trish: Ummmm ok.
Dave: Don't worry, I know a few people outside the system first that I can talk to. Even some people from the inside that may be able to help me out as well. Definitely not gonna make a one man stand in there either though.
Trish: Just stay safe ok?
Dave: I will Trish, and whenever Sarah does come back will you tell her what's been going on?
Trish: Yes Dave I will.
Dave: Good, now I'll be back whenever. Either the truth comes out today and make them realize they are wrong....

….Or Die Trying.
