1. The following final proyect demonstrates the work that has been put into this investigation during the first semester of algebra class.
2.
3. It will talk about the history of math, ranging from the very beginning to the current day and age. It puts emphasis on, mainly, the most outstanding mathemathicians from the past, although it doesn't leave behind the societies that put down the base for math to bloom on. A lot of different cultures worked together, albeit inadvertedly, to create bits and pieces of math, which was then put together in order to create what we know as math in the modern day.
4.
5. However, this isn't about math in general-- it's about algebra.
6.
7. In the present work, while there is going to be a definite focus on algebra, its methods, applications, and pioneers, it will also graze over the origins of math as a whole. However, something that is important to keep in mind is that the history of math is really, really rather extensive, so all that will be said is going to be merely a light graze over the surface of its rich history.
8.
9. In the consolidation of math, plenty of different societies from different parts of the world each contributed with one little thing here, one little thing there, until the whole thing merged down into something that has become nearly impossible to live without nowadays.
10.
11. Math is essential, and has been throughout the years. It remains constant, truthful, and logical. There is only ever one answer for each different problem, and that's what sets math apart.
12.
13. It is hoped that this investigation project will be to the liking of everyone, given that plenty of hard work has been put into it.
14.
15. Now then, it is time to go forth with this work.
