Marco put Marco Jr. outside in the dog house he and Star built, normally they stay inside but this was a special time-out place for Marco Jr., Marco didn't want to put him outside but he couldn't risk him attacking Jackie like that again. Marco Jr. whimpered and cried out, it hurt Marco to do this but Jackie was freaked out enough and he had to tend to her, Marco sadly walked back inside and closed the door. Up in her balcony, Star waved her wand and Marco Jr. floated out of the enclosed dog house area and up into her waiting arms.

"I got a special treat for you, yes I do, yes I do!" Star said as she kissed his furry little head. "Did that skateboarding tramp make you angry? Well, it's okay, mommy is here." Star waved her wand again and a big piece of steak appeared in a bowl on the floor, Marco Jr. tail started wagging as soon as he saw it, Star let him go so he could dig in.


In the kitchen, Jackie had ziploc bags full of ice cubes all over legs for the burns. Marco attended to her arms and face by rubbing burn ointments on her. Marco Jr. laser beams really left a mark, normally the laser beams sting but they've never left bruises before either the puppies are getting more powerful as they age or Marco Jr. amped up his power output just for Jackie. Jackie, much like Marco Jr., had actually whimpered as Marco rubbed the ointment on her burns as they still hurt and the lotion stung. Marco gently kissed her forehead to reassure her that everything is going to be okay.

"Jackie, I swear I don't know what got into him," Marco began. "He's blasted us a hundred times and it’s never left a mark, it usually just tickles."

Jackie yelped as Marco rubbed the ointment on a burn on her thigh.

"Sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm trying to be gentle here but I gotta get the ointment over the actual burn areas, so there might be some discomfort," Marco said apologetically.

"It's okay Marco, I know you are doing your best and I don't blame you for what happened." Jackie had an idea who to blame and it wasn't Marco Jr. either.

"That's sweet of you to say, but I still take full responsibility, I promise I won't let anything like this happen to you again," Marco said remorsefully.

"Aww, Marco sometimes I wish I could get hurt more often so you would come to my rescue every time," Jackie said giving him a warm smile.

Marco smiled at her and leaned up to kiss her as he was crouching to rub the ointment on her legs. Jackie crouched down to meet his kiss halfway but then groaned in pain and put her hand to her back. She groaned more and sat straight again, her back still ached from tripping over the stupid coffee table, she hit the bottom part of the couch with her spine and that's all wood. Marco stood up and kissed her anyways while caressing her cheek, he hated seeing her in such discomfort.

"Do you want to go back to watching the movie or maybe I should just take you home on my bike?" Marco asked.

"Yeah, I think its best you take me home...too bad, I really wanted that alone time with you, my little Kingsman."

"By the way, I'm still going to finish that movie, I really liked what I saw, but then you put my hand on your butt and my attention went elsewhere, my mind is dumb...I think I even imagined freebird somehow," Marco said trying to make her laugh.

Jackie just got quiet and let Marco hold her, she loved how he held her in his arms. In some ways she can't blame Star for always giving in random hugs in the past, at least she thought it was in the past she hadn't expected to walk in and find them in a loving embrace. Ok sure they weren't making out but for some reason that made her angry. Yes they have a strong best-friends bond and she should not interfere with it; and yet Jackie couldn't get over the nagging feeling that while Marco won't ever cheat on her or do something of the like...that Butterfly girl had always come off rather clingy to Marco. When she walked in she saw the look on her face as Marco held her...that look. It was the same look she herself gets when Marco kisses her or whispers romantic things into her ear...love, pure unfiltered love. If she had walked in a few seconds later, Star might have already taken his shirt off...or her own.

"I wanted us to have a talk me, you, and Star," Marco said still holding her. He had to bring this up eventually, there had to be peace in this house and Marco was going to make it happen.

"Wh-what do you mean?"

"I told her everything Jackie," Marco began. "About what you told me about you and other people thinking we are dating and how you thought I didn't like you because of it."

"O-ok but why?" Jackie asked confused.

"I hurt her feelings that's why, I care about you so much I began to stay away from her like she had some contagious disease, and I know you said you were okay with us hanging out together, but I still did it...for you."

"Marco, listen to me I-" Jackie began to explain, but Marco wasn't finished.

"You said you were okay with it, but looking back I now think that you weren't...and maybe still aren't, which sucks for me since now I'm in a tight situation and-"

"Jackie you look terrible, what happened?" It was Star; she was standing in the doorway to the kitchen trying to look and sound surprised.

"Okay, good, both of you are here," Marco stated. "I was going to get you in a bit before I took Jackie home,"

"Marco Jr. zapped me with lasers, surprised you didn't hear me calling for help," Jackie mumbled.

"Really? That is so strange, I never heard of a laser puppy attacking someone, he must have been playing and you freaked out." Star tilted her head so all her hair fell to one side and walked towards the fridge like nothing important happened, her tone was uncaring to say the least.

"Okay, you know what? Cards on the table, right? Yeah, I have some things I want to say to clear the air and one is I think she ordered Marco Jr. to attack me!" Jackie pounded her fists on the kitchen table and stood up...and immediately regretted that as she felt a sharp pain on her lower back.

"Are you serious? I don't control the laser puppies they have a mind of their own!" Star countered, and to be fair it was the truth.

"She's telling the truth, Jackie, neither of us controls them, in fact, we are sending them to obedience school soon," Marco jumped in.

"Okay, then...the other thing I want to say is that you are right, I don't like how close you two are."

Stars ears perked up as she heard this.

"When I came in you guys were practically making out…actually no I take that back you were just being nice…SHE on the other hand was ready to go down on you!"

"Oookay gross, let's not get ahead of ourselves here, but this is good, we got all this stuff out in the open," Marco said nervously. "Star, I already told her about our conversation earlier about how me...and Jackie made you feel like an outcast."

"Now, my goal here is to make Star feel welcomed in my life as she is still a close personal FRIEND," Marco emphasized friend to Jackie. "And Star, for you to understand how Jackie might see us sometimes but prove to her that she has nothing to worry about and that its okay for us to hang out even alone."

"Pfft, Marco you’re so sweet, but also so clueless sometimes," Jackie cut in. "Didn't you see her face when I was kissing you? She even started running away, probably so she didn't have to see us, jealous little bitch!"

"Jackie that was uncalled for!" Marco turned to Star "Don't you start with that either."
Marco was feeling like Chris Pratt in Jurassic World when he comes in between the raptors and the guy who fell into the cage. Except here one raptor throws a mean punch and the other casts magic spells.

Jackie smirked at Star. "Should have let you feel my boobs like when you were at my house and then see her flip out!" Marco's face went white as a ghost, he didn't think anyone was gonna find out about that.

Star started to tremble...with rage. "Okay, you know what? I didn't order Marco Jr. to hurt you...but I did see the whole thing and I liked it, even cheered him on!"

"STAR! Not Cool!" Marco shouted.

"SHE STARTED IT MARCO!" Star sneered. "You and her made me feel so alone, and I'm not sorry for liking you getting hurt!"

"WELL, I AM RIGHT, YOU HAVE A THING FOR MY BOYFRIEND!" Jackie countered.

"No…" Star said trying to sound honest. "But he could do better."

Pain or not Jackie lunged at Star and shoved her against the kitchen fridge. Star was stunned for a second, but she then shoved Jackie back against the kitchen counter. This made Jackie angrier and she connected against Star's jaw with a nasty uppercut. Star was staggered, but she kicked Jackie right in one of her burns which brought her down to the floor in pain. Star jumped on top of her and tried to punch her in the face, but Jackie blocked her punches. Jackie rolled over so Star was now on the bottom she then punched Star in the gut as hard as she could. Marco had been shouting for them to knock it off, but now he had to jump in before they killed each other. He grabbed Jackie by the waist and pulled her off Star while holding Star back with his free arm from attacking Jackie anymore.

"Lets just all agree all three of us are terrible people and go back to our neutral corners!" Marco shouted, but both girls were still trying to attack each other.

"I don't care if you have a magic wand, I'll still cave in your skull if you don't stop flirting with my boyfriend!" Jackie hissed.

"I don't need the wand to kick your fat ass," Star taunted.

It took a while, but they eventually calmed down. Star went back upstairs furious and Jackie took off on her skateboard for home. She kissed Marco goodbye and told him she needed to be alone right now to let out some anger if he wanted to see her he can do it at her house for now on. She wasn't going to come back here and deal with Star making googly eyes at him 24/7. Marco didn't know what to do, he had intended to bring peace and instead things got worse. If the day comes for him to take sides he just didn’t know what’s going to happen, both girls make him so happy but for different reasons.

Marco sat alone in the living and room and started The Kingsmen movie from the beginning, while trying not to cry.

He eventually did cry because of the stress he was under and the sadness of what had happened tonight. And, most importantly, because of how amazing the church scene in Kingsmen where Collin Firth kills everyone was. So freaking metal.
