- WATER TO EARTH ||
- =============================
- From cascading waterfall:
- build add room down w2e1
- - will set default room label as w2e1
- + room labels for "build add" command listed below descriptions
- Slipping Between Rocks - - NE
- (-------------------------------------------------) - <---(M)---> -
- - S -
- Smoothly eroded rocks here tell the tale of the relationship between
- power and time, of water's patience and stone's slowly waning resolve. You
- find yourself beneath the surface, with water churning strongly all around,
- and your visibility is somewhat limited by the bubbles forced and often
- caught under the surface by the massive falls above. It seems that a tunnel
- has formed down here somehow. It leads both south and northeast, and each
- direction looks to promise very different things.

- NORTHEAST:
- Within a Ragged, Stone-walled Aquifer - N -
- (-------------------------------------------------) - <---(M)---> -
- SW - -
- Striated stone walls threaten to tear at your clothes and skin. At
- times, the passage becomes so narrow that you have no choice but to brush
- against the rocks, and at others it widens into a veritable cavern of its
- own. The darkness doesn't make things easier, but at least - unlike other
- underwater areas of the world - it seems bereft of things wishing to eat
- you. The only aquatic life here appears to be a small collection; some
- species of albino shrimp is living contentedly in the silt below you. A
- light current tries to pull you north.

- NORTH:
- Undiscernable Currents - - NE
- (-------------------------------------------------) - <---(M)---> -
- - S -
- The water here moves, sometimes carrying you northeastward and at others
- carrying you south. It moves unceasingly, restless and uncertain. The
- walls of this channel have a tinge of green to them, hinting at life, and
- the floor below is less silty and more of a murky green-brown. Curious, it
- is, that green would be in such a dark place, but perhaps that very soft
- light to the north might be at fault.

- NORTHEAST:
- Calm Waters - N -
- (-------------------------------------------------) - <---(M)---> -
- SW - -
- Tiny white minnows dart to and fro, chasing after one another and nipping
- at fins in small schools. They ignore your presence completely, sometimes
- even using you as cover - an obstacle for the others to navigate in their
- game. This area is comfortably cool, the water nigh stagnant, and is
- brightly green. Light emanates from miniscule crystalline grains in the
- rocks around you, permitting algae to grow, which in turn filters the light
- and bathes the tunnel in a calming green.

- NORTH:
- Swimming Through Algae - - NE
- (-------------------------------------------------) - <---(M)---> -
- - S -
- Large crystal deposits glow brightly all around you, some in veins that
- streak nearly the entire length of this stretch of channel. Algae grows
- rampant in the light, as if supernaturally fuelled by the nurishment, and
- its long tendrils float mostly motionless in the calm water. In response,
- other life here is abundant as well. Small schools of trout swim by,
- chasing after water bugs while crabs and small octopi stir in the mud below.
- All the walls and floor are green and grey and brown, but everything that
- moves and swims about is a stark white, marred only by whatever algae has
- begun to grow on it as well.

- NORTHEAST:
- A Curious Cave Reef - - -
- (-------------------------------------------------) W <---(M)---> -
- SW - -
- The walls here bulge outward, creating a large chamber that is well lit
- by glowing blue crystals naturally embedded within. Craggy, algae-covered
- rocks and boulders crowd the ground, covered with strange orange and pink
- cave corals that grow about them. The corals grow in such a way as to leave
- holes and tunnels in and through them, and in these tunnels live creatures
- that are stranger yet than the coral, with changing skins and oddly placed
- fins, and some with mouths that make up half their body. Fish swim about
- happily, sometimes swirling about as one of their number is taken by
- something hungry.

- WEST:
- A Teeming Pool - - -
- (-------------------------------------------------) - <-U-(M)---> E
- - - -
- Though fairly dark, life somehow makes this pool its home, and in amounts
- that are impressive to behold. Everywhere, fish of all sizes swim in
- schools, albino squids and octopi pulsate and glide through the water, crabs
- scuttle about on the walls and muddy ground - even the occasional snake
- undulates by. It makes little sense from your vantage, but it is possible
- that it may have something to do with the blueish light coming from a small
- opening in the rocks to your east. A swim may be in order for the curious
- at heart.

- From altar of earth:
- build add room north e2a1

- Behind the Altar - - -
- (-------------------------------------------------) - <---(M)-D-> -
- - - -
- Through a narrow, rocky opening behind and obscured by the altar of Earth
- to the south, a preternatural sense of quiet and stillness takes hold. A
- thick bed of moss begins to grow on the ground and walls here, growing
- thicker as it spreads down into a cave-like tunnel. The spongy green
- silences footfalls and absorbs exterior noises. Water drips slowly from
- budding stalactites fifteen or so feet above, falling silently to the
- carpeted floor. Even your own heartbeat seems somehow quieted here. What
- lies below, only Oracle knows.

- DOWN:
- A Sloping, Mossy Tunnel - - -
- (-------------------------------------------------) - <-U-(M)---> -
- SW - -
- Green is everywhere, and from all around is a twinkling in the scant light. Dew like clear gemstones falls like light rain from above. Whilst sounds are scarce, all emanate from below, where you can hear the gentle lapping of water and an occasional muted splash. Few leaves seem to have made their way down here from the forested area above, outside the tunnel, and they grow more numerous the further you descend. Accompanying sound is smell, and the scent here is of dampness and clean earth. The little light you can still see above fails to make it much further than here, and only mystery and darkness proceed with you downward.

- SOUTHWEST:
- Darkness and Water - - NE
- (-------------------------------------------------) - <---(M)---> -
- - - SE
- Natural light absent, you see naught but mold and lichens of different shades growing here upon the damp cave walls. Water drips steadily from stalactites above - some into a large, dark pool of water that extends to the west end of the tunnel. Dead moss and leaves have massed below your feet, some floating on the surface of the water. On closer inspection of the pool, a very dim light can be seen under leaves floating on the surface. The light hints that there may be more to its depths. To the southeast, stony walls appear to give way to earth and the deep, protruding roots of the growing
- things above.

- SOUTHEAST:
- Gnarled Roots and Deep, Rotting Leaves NW - -
- (-------------------------------------------------) - <---(M)---> -
- - - SE
- The water you hear to the northwest makes this place damp, and the
- dampness collects on the cool rocks and roots in and sticking out of the
- slightly muddy earthen wall here, making everything you touch wet. Weaving
- in and out of massive roots that drop down from the ceiling and protrude
- from the walls makes the passage in this area slightly more difficult than
- other areas of the tunnels you've been to. The stifled, wet crackling
- beneath your feet with every step is from a thick bed of slowly rotting
- leaves that have collected in this low place over the years; it smells musty
- but clean, and is easily bearable. From the south, a deep, bass rumble
- hints at something moving - possibly alive.
- Label: e2a4
- Flags: dark
- SOUTHEAST:
- A Place for Life in Death NW - -
- (-------------------------------------------------) - <---(M)---> -
- - - SE
- The air here is slightly humid, and dry leaves cover wet ones beneath
- your feet. Every time your foot comes down, life ripples around it.
- Beetles, centipedes, crickets, and worms call this place home, and their
- numbers are staggering. At first only noticeable when you took a step, your
- light now catches their shining backs on the walls and ceiling, and from
- time to time, you see them fall down to the leaves below. Spiderwebs fill
- the spaces between roots and tiny stalactites, and the spiders that spin
- them all work tirelessly to repair the damages to their webs inflicted by
- the prey they've caught. Occasionally, some small creature tries to crawl
- up your leg, or falls unexpectedly into your hair.
- Label: e2a5
- Flags: dark
- SOUTHEAST:
- A Dance of Swirling Leaves NW - -
- (-------------------------------------------------) - <---(M)---> -
- - - SE
- A few small insectoids skitter about here and there amongst mottled grey
- leaves. Leaves and the dried out carapaces of dead bugs are constantly
- being caught in eddying breezes, like tiny, harmless tornadoes that spin in
- ceaseless cycles - too gentle to do more than throw a rare speck of
- something into an eye or lightly dirty a cloak. A hint of light grows
- slightly brighter to the southeast.
- Label: e2a6
- Flags: dark
- SOUTHEAST:
- A Sickly Sweet Breeze NW - -
- (-------------------------------------------------) - <---(M)---> -
- - - SE
- The walls of this stretch of tunnel are smooth stone streaked in varying
- shades of muted green, blue, and grey. The floor is flat, if a little
- bumpy, but of the same stone, and the only other thing you can see is tiny
- debris blowing in from the northwest in the steady, decay-scented breeze.
- Your clothes ruffle and flap in the wind, but it gives you no more trouble
- than that. Darkness looms to the northwest, and light to the southeast.
