ass whole

heres everything bad about age of ultron that i can remember

basically, they whitewashed the maximoffs and didnt develop them at all, joss whedon made both of the girl characters cry on screen to show they were vulnerable and killed off pietro jsut to make wanda suffer for a few minutes LITERALLY, just a few minutes, they wrecked ultrons character, they had hulk and iron man do a bunch of collateral damage while iron man was trying to stop hulk from attacking african civillians and played it as funny, which i know they wouldnt have DARED to do if it was set in an american or european city, they just moved this fight scene to africa just so hulk could attack innocent civillians and have it not be treated as that big of a deal in the movie, they forced this HORRIBLE weird cheeseball hetero romance between natasha and bruce for NO reason, they had NO chemistry whatsoever, and they tried so hard to make hawkeye a likeable and important character at the expense of everyone elses development.  so much time that they spent trying to convince me to like hawkeye and brucenat should have been spent on character interaction. at about halfway through this movie there is just this big long segment where everyone is just TALKING, either about the awful hetero romance and how Good They Are For Each other (natasha cries about how she cant bear children for bruce banner) or explaining overly complicated plot shit, and its BORING, NONE of the characters are given any emotional depth, all of the fight scenes are stressful instead of fun action (especially the one that is treated as "fun/funny" bc it has hulk attacking and killing innocent people, ultrons character is totally wrecked bc they had him act like a tony stark clone and crack a bunch of jokes, and he describes himself as EVIL, which is ridiculous bc ultron ABSOLUTELY thinks he is in the right and that he is doing the right thing at all times, he is one of the scariest marvel villains because he is like INDEFEATABLE

and they ALL OF A SUDDEN at the end of the movie they decide to introduce vision and if you dont know who vision is it would be so fucking weird and it was still weird for me even as someone who knows about and likes vision, i actually didnt even realize it was supposed to be vision because he doesnt come into existence the same way he does in the comics, and like all the other characters vision gets no development at all

there are a lot of points in the movie where there should have been conflict between the avengers and they could have had some character development but there never is, none of them grow or change at all and no relationships are developed besides bruce and nat (other than tony and steve just being like "hey love you bro" out of nowhere with no...buildup...really...steve and the others SHOULD have been at least a LITTLE mad at tony for making an invincible killer robot but nobody is), they waste all their time having all the other characters talk about how Good Bruce and Nat are for each other

OH YEAH AND THE MAXIMOFFS ORIGINALLY WANT TO KILL TONY STARK FOR MANUFACTURING BOMBS USED TO KILL THEIR ROMANI FAMILY but they just drop it for no reason. the only qualm they have about joining the avengers is that wanda suddenly becomes Scared of fighting during the final battle and goes to hide in an abandoned building and is on the verge of tears even though she took on all the avengers by herself earlier in the movie and fucked them all up super bad and hawkeye has to coax her out of hiding. and then pietro jumps in front of hawkeye so he wont get shot. for some reason. he has no reason to care about him or any of the other avengers at all.  HE SHOULD STILL HAVE BEEN ANGRY AT THEM FOR HANGING OUT WITH TONY STARK????????? WHO NOW NOT ONLY HAS KILLED THEIR FAMILY BUT HAS CREATED A ROBOT THAT WANTS TO KILL EVERYONE IN THE WORLD???????????
