  1. > I wake up in the morning to another human staring at me
  2. > I jump, causing the other human to stumble backwards, and out of the tent
  3. > "Ah! Don't do that man!"
  4. Знаешь ты русски язык?
  5. > "Did you get hit in the jaw or something?"
  6. That'd be a no
  7. > "Oh good, you do speak English!"
  8. > I rub my eyes sleepily
  9. who are you?
  10. > "Me? Well I'm Shermanonymous! Who are you?"
  11. Tsar Anonymous, former Tsar of Russia
  12. > "What? Is that like a king or something?"
  13. > I look to him in disbelief, though he shows utter sincerity
  14. yes, it's like a king
  15. > "well, it's a pleasure to meet you your Highness"
  16. Could you pardon me for a moment?
  17. > "Oh sure"
  18. > he takes his head out of the tent
  19. > I scramble to put on my uniform and robes, then I come out
  20. Shermanonymous was it? What are you doing down here?
  21. > "I could ask you the same thing!"
  22. > I make a sweeping motion, identifying the tent city at the bottom of the dune
  23. I am here to rescue Celestia and Luna, who were murdered by-
  24. > a pitch black alicorn wearing a helmet and boots interrupts
  25. > "Anonymous, what is this?"
  26. You!
  27. > "I'm sorry, have we met?"
  28. You are the one who killed the royal family
  29. > I draw my pistol and level it at her head
  30. > "As much as I wish I did, I can't claim that glory just yet"
  31. I am so confused
  32. > we sat there and discussed our stories
  33. > apparently Tartarus is connected to all universes, and he comes from a different one
  34. > the Nightmare Moon of his world is much more tame, thankfully
  35. While you both are here, may I offer you breakfast?
  36. > "It's been forever since I've had a good meal! What'dya got?"
  37. Try me
  38. > "Eggs?"
  39. yes
  40. > I see him swallow saliva
  41. > "pancakes?"
  42. if you want
  43. > "Bacon?"
  44. meats a plenty
  45. > "Oh sweet bipedal human god."
  46. > I point him in the direction of the supply carts that hold the food
  47. > he rushes off at full speed towards the carts, clearly starved
  48. Anything for you, Nightmare Moon?
  49. > "I don't need your charity"
  50. seeing how starved your friend was
  51. > "he is NOT my friend"
  52. pardon, seeing how starved your travel partner was, I thought maybe you would appreciate a meal as well
  53. > she stares at me, her face looks of deep contemplation
  54. > "I'll see what there is"
  55. > she slowly trots her way over, I follow
  56. > Cadence had meandered from her tent towards the carts, and sleepily greeted me before coming to a stop when she saw the other human
  57. > "Who is he?"
  58. > "Who is she?"
  59. Cadence, this is Shermanonymous, apparently a human from another universe. Shermanonymous, this is Princess Cadence
  60. > "It's a pleasure your Highness"
  61. > Cadence smiles briefly and turns towards the food carts to find herself face to face with Nightmare Moon
  62. > she leaps backwards in horror
  63. > "How did you find us!?"
  64. Calm down Cadence, this one is also from another universe, and she's much more civil
  65. > "Are you sure?"
  66. > "I assure you, I will not harm you. For now"
  67. > "That's reassuring"
  68. > Cadence leaves for the food trucks, and Nightmare Moon joins us in eating a breakfast
  69. > "What was it like on earth, Tsar? I don't remember much"
  70. I cannot speak for the entire planet, but Russia was a wonderful land of beautiful scenery, musical and literary geniuses, and the most hardworking, devout people.
  71. > "Are you sure you aren't a little biased?"
  72. > I shot Nightmare Moon a glance
  73. The winters were cold, but the summers were perfect. The nights were calm and peaceful. The stars glowed bright and more often than not the stars were up longer than the sun.
  74. > "Now you've got my interest"
  75. > Cadence had joined us now, and Nightmare Moon had addressed her
  76. > "Cadence was it? Please tell me about how I killed the Royal Family."
  77. > Cadence stopped her eating and sat, enrapt in the misery of her memories
  78. I can do that one Nightmare. It was late at night, and a massive explosion shook the castle. I ran to the source, which was the throne room, where I found you and Celestia battling. I fired my guns at you, and hit you several times, but you were undeterred. You then vaporized Celestia. Cadence came in to try to stop you, and you enveloped her in shadows. She broke out of it, but you forced the shadows to crush her heart. Finally Luna came in and you two fought. It ended with the both of you casting a spell with your horns touching, causing an explosion that killed you both.
  79. > "Wow darkie! I never thought you were that strong!"
  80. > Nightmare Moon hits Sherm over the head with her hoof
  81. > "What did I tell you about calling me that"
  82. > "Sorry, I forgot"
  83. > by now the soldiers were up and about, getting their food and drink
  84. > the curiously examined the two new adventurers who were speaking with their king
  85. > we had finished our meals, when the wind picked up
  86. > I caught whiff of something rancid
  87. Shermanonymous! Why do you smell of vomit!
  88. > "Why do you smell of lilacs?"
  89. Because I bathe!
  90. > Nightmare Moon's ears perked at this
  91. > "You mean to tell me that you have access to washing materials?"
  92. Indeed I do
  93. > "Anonymous, go take a bath, right now"
  94. Would you like me to show you where?
  95. > "by all means"
  96. > Nightmare Moon picked Sherm up and carried him with her
  97. > I took them behind the dune, where a cart with a veil was placed
  98. This is it, not the most private place, but you have to make do with what you have
  99. > "anonymous, get in there and wash yourself"
  100. > "I can't with you guys watching like this!"
  101. > "That wasn't a request"
  102. > Sherm is flung into the bath cart
  103. > at first he is reluctant, but quickly he warms up to the idea, and he douses himself in water and scented oils
  104. > he exits the cart with a much lighter skin tone, as well as smelling of lavender
  105. > "a significant improvement"
  106. > "You like it Nightmare?"
  107. Would you like a bath, Nightmare?
  108. > she looks to me, again with a pondering face
  109. > behind her back, Shermanonymous carries a bucket of water and oils
  110. > "I-"
  111. > her sentence is interrupted by sherm, who had tossed the bucket of water onto her
  112. > "Come on Nightmare, if I took one, you should too"
  113. > her eyes glow a deep blue, and she tosses the empty bucket at sherm
  114. > "I ought to kill you for that!"
  115. Hang on there Nightmare, I'll get you a towel
  116. > I have a guard fetch me a few towels
  117. > she takes one towel with her magic, and begins wiping off her back
  118. > I take the other, and work on her neck
  119. > "That Anonymous is such a nuisance"
  120. it's all in good sport. I imagine spending so much time as you two have down here would get quite maddening, he has to let it out somehow.
  121. > I work over her head and ears
  122. > "Why is it that you can treat others with such respect, and he can't?"
  123. I'm a king, I've learned civility and respect most of my life
  124. > "you know I can hear you guys right"
  125. > Nightmare Moon responds to this by throwing the bucket at him again
  126. > I work on drying the horn
  127. > "Tsar, no!"
  128. > Nightmare Moon stamps the ground and whimpers
  129. > suddenly, pasta shoots from her horn, barely missing me
  130. > Nightmare Moon pants for a moment, before shoving me down
  131. > "You shameless human! I should kill you for rape!"
  132. > my expression of worry fades when I look past her and see at least a hundred soldiers taking aim at her
  133. > Her, seeing this, turns around and sees the soldiers herself
  134. > she snorts in frustration, but stands down
  135. > I get back onto my feet
  136. What...what just happened?
  137. > "it's a long story Tsar"
  138. > "we've deviated from our course for too long already. We must be leaving now."
  139. Well, it was a pleasure meeting you, I've can give you some information on how to get out if you want?
  140. > "No, we know how to get out. Come along Anonymous"
  141. > "Yes, Nightmare. It was swell meeting you Tsar"
  142. > they trudged their way through the desert along the path we came in on
  143. > Godspeed you two
