  24. > Can I run [QUEST]?
  25. Yes.
  26.
  27. > Should I run [QUEST]?
  28. Probably not, but that's never stopped anyone.
  29.
  30. > How do I git gud?
  31. Lurk and learn. Read quests, ideally finished ones. Write something every day.
  32.
  33. >Give me advice on [quest idea].
  34. It's shit.
  35.
  36. > Run times?
  37. A chunk of four hours or more between UTC 1600 and UTC 0500, ideally.
  38.
  39. > I live in aussieland/the moon/somewhere isolated.
  40. Sucks m8, go to WorldTimeServer.com and calculate a proper runtime for yourself, then cry when it's a shit time with no players.
  41.
  42. > I DON'T WANT TO SIGN UP FOR TWATTER TO GET UPDATES ON QUEST SCHEDULES
  43. Then don't. Bookmark the page.
  44.
  45. > I DON'T WANT TO GET A TWATTER TO INFORM MY PLAYERS
  46. Nobody's forcing you to.
  47.
  48. > Which timezone should I use to announce my quests?
  49. EST or UTC are the most common and easiest to convert for your players, no matter their location.
  50.
  51. > Other quest sites?
  52. tgchan, Anonkun, QuestionableQuesting (forum, requires sign-up). There are others but we don't talk about them.
  53.
  54. > Which quests have eBooks?
  55. pastebin.com/kbGzcbDb These, others are currently being created or might be linked in their individual threads.
  56.
  57. > How do I make quest eBooks?
  58. You will need a text editor(optional, useful to strip residual formatting), LibreOffice Writer, Calibre and a PDF viewer.
  59. (1) Find the archived threads, CTRL + F the QM tripcode and copy the posts into the text editor, tag the beginnings and endings of threads somehow.
  60. (2) Save as plaintext.
  61. (3) Open in LibreOffice, apply formatting, use the Headings and Title functions to distinguish between threads.
  62. (4) Save one ODT and one HTML version in a folder with the Quest's title.
  63. (5) Export as PDF, save the result in the same folder.
  64. (6) Open Calibre, Click [Add Books], wait till the import is done, then [Convert Books] and choose MOBI and EPUB.
  65. (7) Complete folder and compress.
  66. (8) Upload to a DDL host.
  67. (9) Post.
