mustardoverlord lft/ringme: pwr rangers started as a team that, aside from me, was very inexperienced. I knew everyone on the team had at least some talent (except for ducky lololol), but people hadnt played at an IM level before. you mention that you didnt know a ton before you met me? maybe thats a little true, but you flatter me, because it was less true for you than for anyone else on the team (barring maybe sakura). tone pot had good dm, but that was it. he didnt know how to use heals aggressively and play unselfishly. I spent pretty much the whole season teaching him that. meanwhile, shock overextended constantly and didn't listen to calls. I tried to work with him on that, but we as a team decided there was too much to improve on for him to stay, and we cut him. however, I really thought tone-pot was the big success story, and that I gave him the guidence he needed to be a truly good pocket. to me the apex of that was our granary game vs sparrows team. he didnt bait our team, he didnt tunnel vision, he played super well, and it showed. although I was never the roster leader or even the scheduler, I felt like I had put in so much work to not only keep the team alive, but to prepare it to do really well the next season.

nja: here's what I learned from you: stay near medic to get heals, don't need both scouts on flank, hug medic in every engagement ever
mustardoverlord lft/ringme: I even thought that I was not having issues with rage or arguing to the degree that I've had on previous teams, because people trusted my calls and I trusted they were listening to them. In the offseason, when xlax and ducky left, some people on our team thought things werent gonna work out, and debated putting up looking threads. I said no, because I felt like we had worked too hard and achieved too much. trust me guys, I said, I'll fill these spots with strong replacements. I thought wireless and jav would be perfect, but I was mistaken. jav was fine, but didnt seem to like me much. wireless, on the other hand, played EXTREMELY passively. not only was this not the playstyle I had spend an entire season working on, but it also had a huge negative effect on tone pot. suddenly, he began to play like he had before he had improved, baiting his team and tunnelvisioning. worst of all, with tone pot's newfound ego after having gotten better, and with wireless and jav being new to the team, I felt like I had hardly any allies, or people willing to listen to my ideas. the same calls I had been making earlier were being rejected or ignored, and it was if I was the problem, not the new players. it was as if everyone had collective amnesia about what had gotten us so far. if I was angry or oppositional at this time, it was because I felt like my team was turning its collective back on everything I had done for it. I began to get paranoid that I would be cut. however, when I was given the join password for the old MPP roster, I assumed that was all in my head. I even started to feel like we were meshing a little better, meeting in the middle strat-wise, culminating in our gullywash game where we shat on puffs team. welp, it turns out I was right the first time, so I was cut. it felt like I had been stabbed in the back, like people had literally forgotten everything positive I had contributed to the team. It felt like I was cut because tone pot wanted to go back to the old, shitty way of playing, something confirmed...

mustardoverlord lft/ringme: myself and nosferatu were planning on building a main team, me on demo and him on medic. we are prolly gonna use swarth on pocket, but we have literally no idea who to use on roamer and scouts. we have the mad men roster, which has the potential to still be invite, but is unlikely because we cant find anyone really good and we dont wanna get totally roflstomped. I thought about talking to you guys even, but I thought doing stuff with jav was unlikely to work out. I had no problem with sakura, but I felt like you and me had stuff to talk about before anything would be possible. nosferatu is actually tryin out for chill 2 good tonight, and he said he thought someone from dbj would be there too. hes giving them a chance, but he says hes gonna play for the team with the most potential, as he wants a team that likes to play the way he likes to play. the way he likes to play is to heal scouts and demos a lot in fights. this is fine by me but obv I need the right scouts for it. you sounded perfect for that, and there are like 0 good roamers. with that in mind, I'd like you and sakura to tryout for my team if our past history isnt too difficult to overcome
