  1. >upehe he>>Spike ternate LIKE THE RULES OEA>" ackThe episoAlso,?Edit:Thoughts on MLP: FIM Season 4 episode 6:
  2.
  3. Ah, the "silly" episode of the season. Time to become a retard so my brain won't treat it like a serious episode...
  4.
  5. Anyway, not much happened in the episode.
  6.
  7. Everyone gets teleported into a comic book, they attack the villain, lose, they go to the villains base, fight off thugs and get captured, Spike sneaks inside and saves them, then there's a fight and the villain loses. That's it.
  8.
  9. The main six were given powers based on characters from the comic. Fluttershy was the yellow hulk, Pinkie Pie could move fast, Rarity could make gem-based objects, AJ had a rope, Twilight shot things, Rainbow Dash controlled the weather, and Spike was the useless piece of shit.
  10.
  11. Some of the events were predictable, such as Fluttershy not going hulk until the finale and Spike being the hero that saves the day.
  12.
  13. I would've liked it if the powers were expanded on/given more time to be shown, because in the first scene where they use them, they can't do jack shit, but when they break free in the finale, they can use the powers with no problem. That means that they were able to master their powers after a couple hours, even though some heroes take whole days to even learn how to use their powers. Alas, this problem is due to the "20 minutes for an episode" crap.
  14.
  15. The jokes were ok. I didn't laugh at most of them, but Flutterhulk's ridiculous body made me giggle and I want to fuck that, especially since she probably turned into a futa-monster.
  16.
  17. Huh...doesn't seem like there's anything else I can say before it gets to the point of taking the show to retarded levels of high expectations...
  18.
  19. 7/10. That is all.
  20.
  21. Also, the porn of the heroes with their powers should be great.
  22.
  23. Edit: The explanation for how Spike got the comic is stupid. So apparently everyone is allowed to buy comics that suck them into the comic world?
  24.
  25. The episode acknowledges the fact that Spike is treated as if he is useless(See the crappy spring trap gag in the castlemania episode), but when he finally gets his time to shine this episode, his spotlight is stolen by Flutterhulk.
  26.
  27. Speaking of Flutterhulk, I found her transformation to be...awkward.
  28.
  29. Read this
  30. >"Are you kidding me?! I mean, I know you're evil-and-everything, but you hurt, a teensy, little, harmLESS, FIREFLY?! REALLY?! WHY, YOU'RE JUST A GREAT, BIG, MEANIE! THERE, I SAID IT! WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU'RE SO SPECIAL?! LIKE THE RULES OF COMMON COURTESY DON'T APPLY TO YOU?! WHY DON'T YOU PICK ON SOMEBODY YOUR OWN SIZE?! *SCREAM*"
  31.
  32. It slows down the pacing dramatically, especially with how fast everything went. The writers could've just had her say "YOU MEANIE!" and had her turn into the Flulk. And for those that will say it was for comedic effect, here's an alternate version that will take a similar time, use a cliche, and still be played for laughs:
  33.
  34. >Spike notices the laser beam.
  35. >He jumps in front of it.
  36. >He gets hit and is sent flying, everything goes to slowmo as he slams the wall, he falls to the ground, and after a few seconds, he says "I'm ok" and gets back up(He took worse hits than this, it's possible that this wouldn't hurt him).
  37. >Fluttershy screams his name, then becomes angry, which shows that she cares about her friends, including Spike, who is known to be treated like shit for most of the show.
  38. >She destroys everything.
  39. >Rest of events follow.
  40.
  41. The ending gag ruins the moral, making the viewer laugh about his stupid mistake(if they find the joke funny, since some won't) and forgetting about the actual moral.
  42.
  43. Last but not least, why the hell do the main six try to fix up the place by themselves for no reason?
  44.
  45. They could easily round up some more ponies to help them out, which would speed everything up.
  46.
  47. Also, there is no motivation for the repairs. You could say that the writers assume that we're smart enough to understand why they are doing it, but the episode does a 180 very quickly. The writers shove a common complaint-Spike is treated like he's useless-in our faces the whole episode, which goes against the assumption that the viewer is smart enough to understand what is going on.
