  1. (1850) Shot__: After the events of the previous night, you slept soundly in the church (except Antal) and woke the next morning to find a rather large cart and horse readied just outside.
  2. (1944) Midnight (exit): 17:24
  3. (1850) Shot__: And with it, Antal and the young lady from before.
  4. ** (1874) Kindle seems more than a bit sullen, keeping his mouth shut for the most part (except for eating) and getting his things together quietly **
  5. ** (1934) Yli gives Antal a nod. "Nice" it seems to say. **
  6. (1844) Pwll Kennall: Och, tha inn was ah wee bit heevy.
  7. ** (1844) Pwll Kennall rubs his back **
  8. (1874) Kindle: Kindle would give the woman and halfing a somewhat curious glance, wondering whether or not he really did 'do the deed' as it were but would try to remain inconspicuous whilst doing so
  9. ** (1825) Antal Jamir stares at his feet as though they are the most interesting things in the world right now. **
  10. (1825) Antal: "Well..."
  11. (1874) Kindle: Kindle brings out his brand new chalkboard tablet and writes on it, showing it to Pwll when it says "I've been meaning to ask you about how you seem to become that large rock monster."
  12. (1934) Yli: "Yes. We should go." He yawns.
  13. (1844) Pwll Kennall: Ach, is nathen specail. Jest ah nack far meinan.
  14. (1874) Kindle: Kindle pauses and looks at Pwll for a bit, then offers him the chalkboard and piece of chalk
  15. ** (1844) Pwll Kennall climbs aboard the back of the cart and begins fiddling with some crystals. **
  16. (1850) Shot__: "Please, return in one peice, ser Antal. I would hate to have to bury you." she says with a smile. "Here." she says, handing you a small, sheathed dagger. "It is not much, but... I hope it will help."
  17. ** (1874) Kindle looks to see whether the cart really would be able to carry the whole load of them or whether the half-orc had better walk **
  18. ** (1934) Yli prods the back of Kindle. "Get on, mutey." **
  19. (1825) Antal: "I ah, thank you milday. This will certainly help."
  20. (1825) Antal: ((Milady* fuck))
  21. (1934) Yli: ((dun swear!))
  22. (1874) Kindle: Kindle shoots Yli a bit of a dark glance, then obliginly climbs aboard the cart, trying to find a comfortable position
  23. (1844) Pwll Kennall: "Ach, tis easy anuff. Ah'll shew ye tha nex tiem ah have ta de it.
  24. (1850) Shot__: She smiles warmly, then wanders away. The horse huffs expectantly.
  25. (1874) Kindle: A thought occurs to Kindle
  26. whispering to Antal, In case you're wondering: It's a silver short sword.
  27. ** (1934) Yli gives the horse a look, wondering if it's one of those "intelligent" horses. **
  28. (1874) Kindle: "Does.." The half-orc pauses, astonished, then stands up, almost falling over in the rather cramped cart. "I can speak!"
  29. (1844) Pwll Kennall: "Allaight, than, who kens ha ta drive ah hearse?
  30. (1825) Antal: "I can."
  31. (1874) Kindle: Kindle quietly goes over a list of words, seeing whether or not they come out jumbled as the prior night or correctly
  32. (1850) Shot__: The dwarf climbs into the cart as well.
  33. (1874) Kindle: "I can speak again! Hah! The curse has faded!"
  34. ** (1934) Yli climbs onto the end of the cart, ready to watch the world recede. **
  35. (1844) Pwll Kennall: "Ach, twere werred ye'd have te waive aroun yer chalk berd ta prozzleties.
  36. (1825) Antal: "Horses are little big for me, but I do have experience in driving a cart."
  37. (1934) Yli: "Pwll still has his curse."
  38. (1874) Kindle: Kindle brightens considerably, and proudly goes and takes the driver's position on the cart. "I can drive this thing, I'm sure."
  39. whispering to Kindle, Periodically, I'm going to whisper things to you in quotes. This is the devil talking to you.
  40. ** (1825) Antal joins Kindle out front, hoping the fresh air will help him breathe better. **
  41. (1844) Pwll Kennall: "Tis mair like ah curse ah bein irritated by yew lawsy gits.
  42. (1874) Kindle: ((Ride or Handle Animal check?))
  43. (1850) Shot__: ((Handle. You're not on the thing, are you?))
  44. (1934) Yli: "Mmm."
  45. (1874) Kindle: Kindle's pleased enough with being able to speak that he even ignores his own igorance of Pwll's words
  46. (1874) Kindle: Handle Animal
  47. (1874) Kindle: [1d20+6] => [2,6] = (8)
  48. (1934) Yli: ((take ten you nub))
  49. (1874) Kindle: ((I should've taken ten..))
  50. (1825) Antal: ((:| God damn you))
  51. (1850) Shot__: The horse stares back at you, as if offended.
  52. (1825) Antal: "Look, just let me drive the cart."
  53. ** (1874) Kindle raises an orcish eyebrow at the offended equine **
  54. (1874) Kindle: "Don't you need to ride Pony?"
  55. (1934) Yli: ((for PONY!))
  56. (1825) Antal: "Pony'll follow us. I don't NEED to ride him. I just usually do."
  57. (1934) Yli: ((pony is the dog?))
  58. (1874) Kindle: Kindle reluctantly hands the reins over to the halfling
  59. (1825) Antal: ((Yes pony is the dog.))
  60. (1825) Antal: "Right then. Lets go." ((Take a ten on that handle animal check))
  61. (1844) Pwll Kennall: "Whoe'rs genna deh it, geh ahn wit it, we're bairnan tha sun.
  62. (1874) Kindle: ((Is it a covered wagon/cart? ))
  63. (1934) Yli: Yli mumbles, "I'm pretty sure it's the sun that burns us, but fine."
  64. (1850) Shot__: ((Detachable cover. It's down at the moment, takes five minutes to put up.))
  65. (1959) Olos Nah (enter): 17:37
  66. (1959) Olos Nah (exit): 17:38
  67. (1825) Antal: ((Okay so we put it up real quick.))
  68. (1850) Shot__: The horse moves forth, out of town, and begins to trundle along the road passively. You get the feeling this cart and horse are used fairly often for this route.
  69. (1874) Kindle: Kindle is rather pleased at being able to speak intelligently once more, so he chooses to entertain everyone with something of a traveling song
  70. ** (1825) Antal isn't content with staying silent on the road. "Feels good to be out of town." **
  71. (1874) Kindle: Perform (Sing) Untrained
  72. (1874) Kindle: [1d20+2] => [13,2] = (15)
  73. (1850) Shot__: ((That's not half bad, actually :V ))
  74. (1874) Kindle: (( Oh yeah, and you know he's got that handsome baratone voice))
  75. (1934) Yli: ((Oh I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts))
  76. (1825) Antal: "Hey, Kindle, I didn't know you could sing."
  77. (1874) Kindle: "Anyone can sing, dear Antal. Even the, err, Cooshai I'm sure have their own, uh, mining songs or something!"
  78. (1844) Pwll Kennall: "Ah, remines meh. Did ye fine tha quartz in yer buot frem yesserday, Alta Boc?
  79. (1844) Pwll Kennall: "Aye, many an veried serts. Helps kep tha tiem.
  80. (1934) Yli: "What quartz? Keeps time? Why have I not heard of this?"
  81. (1874) Kindle: Kindle pauses his talking/singing to look at Pwll, taking a bit (as usual) to decipher his words, then blinks and fishes around in a pocket, eventaully coming up with the quartz in question. "Oh, this? Yeah I did find it in my boot last night. Did you put it there?"
  82. (1825) Antal: "So quartz is just a rock?"
  83. (1844) Pwll Kennall: "Aye, tis ah feockes. Anchers tha speel.
  84. (1874) Kindle: Kindle examines the stone. "Certainly seems to be just a rock."
  85. (1934) Yli: "Rock crystals"
  86. (1874) Kindle: "Ah, well what do I know of magic. Here, catch."
  87. (1874) Kindle: Kindle gently tosses the quartz back to Pwll
  88. (1825) Antal: "Speeeeeel... Oh! Spell! Right. You can do magic. I forgot."
  89. (1844) Pwll Kennall: "Ahm nae sevent, jest ah minar. Cannae tell ye whay it werks tha wey.
  90. (1844) Pwll Kennall: [1d20-1] => [14,-1] = (13)
  91. (1874) Kindle: "What what works what way?"
  92. (1934) Yli: "That's a mighty common focus, it's lucky you don't need anything exotic."
  93. (1874) Kindle: Kindle looks back to Yli. "A 'focus,' you call it? You know much of magic, Yli?"
  94. (1825) Antal: "Huh. Weird."
  95. (1844) Pwll Kennall: "Ta ancker ah speel ah pretection, it's needen ah clear sten ta held tha mejic.
  96. (1934) Yli: "I know that people sometimes leave magic just lying around, waiting to be used. I can't make my own, though."
  97. (1874) Kindle: Kindle blinks his lone eye and rubs at the scarred socket over the other. "I'll just put it down to 'some people do strange stuff with magic' if ou don't mind."
  98. (1844) Pwll Kennall: "An aye, tha ah'd preffer toe jest uise ahny auld reck, twould be e'en easier.
  99. ** (1825) Antal pulls out the silver dagger that Josephine had given him. "So... can metal just have magic laying around too?" **
  100. (1844) Pwll Kennall: "It's taken ah wile an ah gurt pile ah money ta de it, but aye.
  101. (1825) Antal: "Interesting..."
  102. (1844) Pwll Kennall: "Ye mine if ah take ah look at yer douwry, Abcan Cnicht?
  103. (1874) Kindle: Kindle has no idea to whom Pwll is speaing

  105. (1844) Pwll Kennall: ((Antal, hoping context would help with that but I suppose body language doesn't go over chat.))
  106. (1874) Kindle: (( I figured ))
  107. (1825) Antal: "Er... sure? To be honest I've no idea what you're saying."
  108. ** (1825) Antal hands him the weapon, albeit with much hesitation. **
  109. (1844) Pwll Kennall: "Och, hauld yer hunds.
  110. ** (1844) Pwll Kennall takes out a greenish crystal, cut flat, and begins muttering under his breath while looking through it to the still sheathed dagger. **
  111. (1850) Shot__: ((Detect magic?))
  112. (1844) Pwll Kennall: ((Indeed.))
  113. whispering to Pwll Kennall, There's no magic here. It's just an ordinary silver blade.
  114. (1825) Antal: "Do be careful, Pwll."
  115. (1874) Kindle: "Pwll's no fool"
  116. ** (1874) Kindle is quite pleased with his thryme **
  117. (1874) Kindle: rhyme*
  118. (1844) Pwll Kennall: "Yer tha werried aboot what ye did las night tha ye're especten ah curse dagger?
  119. ** (1844) Pwll Kennall gives a short barking laugh and winks at Antal. **
  120. (1825) Antal: "No! I mean, no. "
  121. (1825) Antal: "No! I mean, no. I don't."
  122. (1874) Kindle: "I'm sure he just, er, doesn't want to lose her gift of favor."
  123. (1825) Antal: "Just, not really. No."
  124. (1874) Kindle: "No, you don't care about losing it?" The Half-orc looksp uzzled
  125. (1844) Pwll Kennall: ((alright, the heck you whisper on this thing))
  126. (1850) Shot__: ((Right click on nick to the side))
  127. (1844) Pwll Kennall: "Ah den't bleev ther's mech tha gews aff when ye jest lek aht it.

  131. (1825) Antal: "And I'd really rather not talk about last night."
  132. (1825) Antal: "Ever. Like, never. "
  133. (1874) Kindle: "Uh... okay"
  134. (1844) Pwll Kennall: "Ah nah ah steppenstewl man in tha beg city...
  135. (1874) Kindle: Kindle seems quite puzzled but decides not to press it
  136. ** (1844) Pwll Kennall laughs again and smacks Antal on the back before getting back to examining the dagger. **
  137. (1825) Antal: "So?"

  233. (1825) Antal: "Next time, I expect you to take the next one. I can't fight like this. I think or breathe. If I close my eyes for too long she's there, holding me, whispering things to me."

  235. (1825) Antal: ((I can't think or breathe*))
  236. (1874) Kindle: "As you can see my tongue has returned to me, thankfully."
