  1. Project: Vintage Mouse (Working Title)
  2.
  3. Genre(s): First Person Point and Click, Adventure, Mystery, Horror
  4. Based on: Abandoned by Disney by Slimebeast
  5. Main Game Creation Staff: Hailey Sawyer
  6. Concept Sheet Creation Date: May 24, 2016
  7.
  8. Plot:
  9.
  10. The game centers around an urban explorer named Ralph who takes a trip down to Emerald Isle after hearing about a Disney resort called Mowgli's Palace that has been abandoned since the year 1999. As Ralph explores the resort, he comes across various sheets of paper that are later revealed to be part of a journal written by an employee of the resort. When Ralph collects all of the journal entries and a dull orange journal cover, he finds out that these entries detail the chilling events that lead up to the resort's abandonment.
  11.
  12. Gameplay:
  13.
  14. The game will be prominently focused on exploration with some puzzle solving (i.e In order to find one of the journal pages, Ralph needs to access hotel room 216 on the second floor. However, Ralph will need to find the key located in a desk drawer at the reception desk. If he tries to open it the first time around, the drawer will be stuck and require a crowbar to open which could be found near an outdoor part of the resort.)
  15.
  16. The game may also include a day and night cycle that uses the twelve hour clock system. When it gets closer to nighttime (6 or 7pm), Ralph will be more vulnerable to wild animal encounters. If Ralph encounters an animal, he can use his camera flash to scare them away. However, the camera's maximum exposure count is fifteen and once the exposure count reaches zero, the camera will no longer be usable. Ralph is also equipped with a flashlight which can help him see better in the dark. However, since the flashlight is dimmer than the camera flash, it will take much longer to drive away animals with it. The flashlight has a limited battery life which means that Ralph must be conservative with its use in order to reduce the risk of the battery dying too quickly. Ralph can take up to four hits from wild animals. If Ralph gets hit four times, the game is over. There will be no extra lives but you may be able to continue if you make it up to a certain point in the game.
  17.
  18. The resort will be broken up into several locations:
  19.
  20. 1. The Front Entrance (A location with giant graffiti covered wooden gates and filled with overgrown plants and vines.)
  21.
  22. 2. Baloo's Courtyard (A location with a crumbling Baloo statue that leads to the lobby of the resort.)
  23.
  24. 3. Lobby (A location with various holes in the straw like roof and damaged goods like a smashed cabinet and a few railing supports lying around. The location also has working ceiling fans.)
  25.
  26. 4. Gift Shop (A location that has severely damaged merchandise, smashed glass from the display cabinets that are scattered around everywhere, and a cash register bolted to the desk containing currency that could only be used at the resort.)
  27.
  28. 5. Room 216 (A location that contains an old camel back TV with the screen missing, a brown bureau with most of the drawers missing, and two beds filled with eggs from various animals.)
  29.
  30. 6. Kitchen (A location that has giant freezers with rusting meat hooks inside, chrome appliances, and broken windows.)
  31.
  32. 7. Men's Bathroom (A location that contains smashed urinals, piles of sawdust on the floor that fails to soak up puddles of water, and soap bars scattered about.)
  33.
  34. 8. Women's Bathroom (A location with toppled over stall dividers, holes in the wall that show exposed pipes, and a smashed tampon and panty liner machine with said products overflowing from the tray.)
  35.
  36. 9. Pool Area (A location that contains a pool filled with brown water and groups of algae floating on the top of it. At night, crocodiles or alligators may be seen lurking in this area.)
  37.
  38. 10. Mascots Only Area (A location that is very clean and in tact aside from the soft and moldy wooden floors. Unlike in the lobby where the power goes on and off on its own, the power always stays on in this location.)
  39.
  40. 11. Animal Cages (A location with rusting cages and overgrowth that runs rampant. During the day, Ralph may encounter feral pigs and during the night he may encounter either Raccoons, baby Vultures, or Red Foxes.)
  41.
  42. 12. Tool Bunker (A location that has its in ground entrance covered up by leaves and other debris. The area is mostly bare except for a broken ladder which, when fixed, can be used to obtain the journal entry hidden in Baloo's mouth that's disguised as a fang.)
  43.
  44. Complete Inventory List:
  45.
  46. * Old as Hell Map (Faded Promotional map of Mowgli's Palace)

  65.
  66. * Mickey Mouse Plush with a Victorian Jungle Explorer's Outfit
  67.
  68. Sound Design:
  69.
  70. The game will be set in an abandoned jungle themed resort on the coast of North Carolina. The music shall contain ambient sounds such as distant animal noises, wind whistling through the trees on occasion, etcetera. At night, there will barely be any sound except for Ralph's footsteps and the faint chirping of crickets.
  71.
  72. Graphics:
  73.
  74. If I can find a capable and reasonably priced 3D game creator program, it may be a free roaming 3D adventure game. If this isn't possible however, the graphics may be just a series of 2D images with the occasional bits of animation thrown in that can be scrolled through by clicking either the left or right side of the screen to go to another room.
