  1. You've just gotta love people who say "If your ideas need violence to uphold them, your ideas are worthless". They're usually privileged ass kissing liberals who uphold various Governments (the idea of Government in any form implies all kinds of violence, subtle and not so subtle) or Corporations (also employ violence to bust up unions and advocate violence to secure markets) or Religion (makes excuses for interpersonal violence done in the name of upholding it, advocates violence "in defense" of it's members, etc) or other such structures.

  3. What these types of people are really saying is they just don't want to engage your ideas and they're privileged idiots that call the cops (who employ violence to protect them) at the first sign of trouble and just in general enjoy all kinds of privilege based on a world of violence around them right down to the IRS tax collector that employs violence if necessary through agents backed up by LEO to collect taxes which enable the Society around them to even exist in any meaningful way, or corporations who employ violence to defend private property, government which employs violence to hold up eminent domain, etc, religious people that employ violence against each other and atheists, etc.

  5. Basically when people use a phrase such as "If your ideas need violence to uphold them, your ideas are worthless" what they're basically saying is that they're privileged idiots and none too aware of it. They're not actually communicating anything else, unfortunately. Societies themselves are built upon tons and tons of violence, always at the expense of other groups of people....

  7. "Non-violent Revolution" is mostly just code for go and protest in various places, and then get herded away like sheep by LEO equipped with everything from watercannons to Tanks when they get sick of you. Listen I know non-violence can be effective, and have advocated it here many many times, and it should always be used first. In rare cases it can even overthrow governments, but I'm just cynical, trust me. You've got no idea. The world never works in some idealized pie in the sky floating blue cloud utopian horseshit where everyone mostly gets along: it's never worked that way and never will work that way. What works is anything that actually works, including avoidance.

  9. I can only surmise about people who say such things, some very comical presumptions about their intellectual capacity.
