Doug and Lucian chat about a girl

Lucian had just finished filling out some paper work when he goes to see Doug about his idea... Now he just had to find where he normally was this time of day...

In his office. With a computer and headphones on. His pants are still on, though, so that's always a good sign. He presses a button on the keyboard as soon as Lucian enters, taking off his headphones. "Well, if it isn't Lucian. What brings you here?"

"I had an idea concerning one of the prisoners, Afina Dobre, to be specific," Lucian replies, "we need help if we're going to fight Virgil, and I mean a lot of help. We have ties to some factions of the Kings, NPO, and JS in some way. I'd like to trade Afina to the JS to call in a favor from them. I wanted to ask your opinion on this since you're better with prisoners than I am."

Doug stands up, turning to a bulletin board on the left of his desk. "Ah, Afina. One of the UC nobles... you might want to ask Rags and Carlos about that. They actually need their bloodline for researching. Unless you can give me a reason why I should be interviewing her, I'd rather focus on the new prisoner."

"True enough, I'd still like your opinion on the idea, we currently only have a Truce with them, and that's not even with us directly. Plus you can see what Vanessa thinks about this for strengthening our relations to a degree. I'd like to see about that before talking to either of them so I have the full pros and cons for the situation."

"..." Doug sits back down on his desk. "I'm going to be honest here. I don't think Vanessa's opinion matters at this point." He sighs, looking forlorned about this, before shaking his head. "Again, you should make sure no other researches need to be done with her. Otherwise, she's just wasting space." He glances at the board once more. "Unless you have any objections yourself. After all, you captured her."

"I brought her here because she was injured and would have died otherwise, I wouldn't wish death by fire on anyone except Virgil at this point," Lucian says, then sighs, "thanks anyway, I'll find Rags and Carlos, see if I can convince them," he leaves to find said doctors/scientists.

"Right." Doug said. "I'll get the paperwork done on her so you can release her as soon as you're ready." He puts on his headphones once more and presses a button on the keyboard again.
