Current Event Presentation:

For your class presentation, you will find a current news article or other contemporary source (an interview, excerpt from a TV show, or political cartoon are other potential options) that relates to our course readings for that day. You will take 5 minutes to present your media selection to the class and explain how it relates to our materials for that day. Then you will lead a 5-to-10-minute discussion on your selection. You should be able to answer basic questions about your source (where did it come from, how did you find it, etc.), and you should also come prepared with some questions to ask the class.

Your presentation will be evaluated on 1.) The relevance of your selection to the course materials for that day, 2.) The clarity of your presentation and 3.) The thoughtfulness of your discussion questions.

Signups for class presentations will happen in Week 1 of the term. Only one presentation can happen each day.
