Unforeseen Consequences - Getting back on track

“S-Shut up! I didn’t mean to cause all of this!”
>”Really? Then you, my little brother, could leave me and my old man without a job if you put your mind into it” Eris raised an eyebrow and rubbed her chin “’Cause I’d say this is some top notch chaos”
>You rolled your eyes and let out a groan
“It’s not like that, my plan was perfect… until I put it in motion, that’s it. But that won’t happen again! Or at least not for the rest of the day… hopefully… maybe… bah! Are you gonna help me to calm them out or not?”
>”I dunno, dork” Eris shrugged and then looked at Twilight with a mischievous smile “This is the best opportunity in ages to make purple REALLY lose her mind. Beside, how do you plan to make everypony nice and boring again?”
“I have my way with words, don’t worry”
>”Yeah.” Eris chuckled “I can how great that has worked out for you”
“Look if you are not gonna help! Then… then…uh… just please don’t do anything chaotic until I fix this this… or until the grand opening concludes... listen, just stay here and don’t do anything”
>It was clear that Eris wasn’t gonna budge by simple words, so you decided to go for her weak spot… the sad puppy eyes! Kind of a cheap tactic, but hey, you were getting desperate.
“Please, I know you don’t care that much, but Rarity, Twilight and everypony else do, and I really, really don’t want Rarity’s big event to crash and burn because my perfect plan wasn’t that perfect”

>Eris closed her eyes and groaned super hard ”Oh, you dirty little…uuggh!” the she let out a sigh in defeat and angrily pointed at you with her talon “Fiiiiine! But for the record, I’m not doing it because you are stupidly adorable, I’m doing it ‘cause I want to, understand?!”
>You let out a chuckle and gave Eris a big smile
“Thank you, sis”
>”Whatever… I didn’t want to botch the job anyway… Really want to give Candy-Candy’s girl the coolest stuff, y’know?” Eris waved her paw dismissively “Ugh! Just go there and do the lame stuff you usually do”
>You nodded and then walked at the ever growing heated argument that was happening.
“Alright, I think this has been enough arguing for today. We need to focus on tonight’s event”
>But no one listened to you. RD and Applejack were now doing a stare contest. Rarity and Sassy were basically yelling at each other and Twilight… well, she was being Twilight when things don’t go her way.
>Okay… maybe it would be better if you raised your volume.
“Excuse me”
>Again, nothing. It was like you didn’t exist for them anymore. Which was frustrating but… calm down, Anon. You just need to speak a little louder
“Excuse me”
>C’mon! How much can they argue?! Okay… you were starting to lose your nerve. Calm… down… and try again
“Excuse me!”
>No response again… just arguments that went on circles. Grrrr! WHY WON’T THEY LISTEN!
“Excuse me!”
>Of course they didn’t hear you! What else did you expect!
>They weren’t listening to you, the only thing you saw was useless discussion and craziness for Twilight’s case, but that wasn’t acceptable! The rage was now too darn much to contain. Just like with that whole all out brawl back at your school, you started to feel your magic flowing furiously throughout your body.
>You took a deep breath, stomped your right front hoof on the ground and yelled with all your strength. The windows rattled furiously but thankfully didn’t break, some mannequins did fell to the ground though.

“BE STILL!”
>You saw a small magical shock wave going through the entire building, making it shake for a couple seconds… and just like with your classmates, everyone was immobilized by your magic
>Well, everyone except for Eris who simply giggled and said with a playful tone “Oooh! I didn’t know the dork could get this mad. I like it!
>You turned to Eris and growled
“Stay quiet! Or I’ll make sure you get another laser to the face!”
>”Oh yeah? And what if I don’t?” Eris narrowed her eyes at you
“DO YOU WANT ME TO CALL MY MOTHERS TO TEACH YOU SOME MANNERS?!”
>Eris stared you deeply with a defiant glare, and of course you glared back
>When Eris saw that you had your hoof on your necklace she tried to play it cool by shrugging everything off “Forget what I said, you’re a bit too much like the blue crazy laser pony for my tastes”
>You nodded to yourself and then looked at the rest of the mares…
“AND YOU! Oh… wait”
>Right… the immobilization spell. They can’t really move… or talk. Geez, this one was stronger than last time.

>You took another deep breath, focused and uncast the spell.
>It took a few moments for everyone to get back on track. But when they did, well, they went back to their ruckus.
>”Not to self” Sassy rubbed the back of her neck as she looked at you with “For future patterns, never, ever get in the bad side of the Prince”
>”You think the squirt is bad? Dude, the moms are on a whole new level of scary” RD chuckled arrogantly as she shook her wings “Just try your luck with Princess Luna. Seriously, the yelling is out of this world and the worst part is that you end up getting a buncha nightmares about fluffy things for an entire week!”
>Applejack looked at RD with a stoic glance ”Fluffy stuff? Seriously?”
>”S-Shut up!” RD angrily replied as she pulled Applejack’s hat down
>To make things worse, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and the salamander quickly rushed into the store from the backroom
>”I dunno what was that” Spike glared at you “But I know it’s that guy’s fault!”
>”O-Oh my! Is everypony okay? We heard this terrible thunder… and then a quake happened… I was so worried about everypony but…uhm… I also was scared to do anything sooner… sorry”
>”Weee! That was super amazingly fun! And that quake was perfect for my strawberry cinnamon cilantro cupcake” Pinkie took out a cupcake from heavens know where and ate it in one go “Mmmm! Just the right amount of shaking! Oh yeah! Are you girls having fun? Wait a minute…”
>The pink mare looked at Eris, gasped and happily rushed at her “Eris is here?! Oh, my gosh! This is gonna be the greatest fashion party ever!”

>Everyone dropped their ears in order to mitigate some of the crazy boom of your voice. Rarity and Sassy quickly held up some mannequins to prevent them from falling to the ground.
>”Hey squirt!” RD called out for you “I know your angry, but keep the volume down will ya? You are a few kicks from leaving us deaf here!”
“Heh, heh! Sorry! If I have to be honest, I really don’t know how I pulled it off, I mean, my mom does it all the time when she gets angry at me but… oh wait…”
>When you realized that everyone was still covering their ears and the store was trembling so hard that it was basically on the verge of collapsing in itself, you blushed a little complete with an awkward smile
“I’m still doing it… sorry again”
>You then took a deep breath and cleared out your throat.
“Is this okay?”
>All of the mares and the salamander nodded. Finally, sweet silence, well, except for Eris who groaned behind your back.
>But ignoring that, you finally got their frickin’ attention!
>You looked at everyone with a stern look as you started to pace back and forth across the shop
“Good, because I still can’t believe how quickly all of you crumbled down! With the exception of those who weren’t here, of course, but seriously…
>You turned to the purple princess and pointed at her with your hoof
“Twilight!”

>Her royal purple hotness flinched a little and replied with a somewhat scared voice ”Y-Yes?”
“My sister is here because Rarity asked her for help. So what?! That’s no reason for losing your frickin’ mind! For everything that is science, you are the Princess of Friendship! If you have to be with somepony you don’t like then just deal with it!”
>Twilight rose her hoof and said with a shy tone ”But-“
“I SAID DEAL WITH IT!”
>Whoops, you overdid it again, but hey, it kind of worked since Twilight simply dropped her head in shame and mustered “Okay…”
>You nodded to yourself and then turned to Rarity and Sassy
“Rarity!”
>”Yes, darling?” Geez, even when she’s clearly freaked out, Rarity still maintains a proper level of class and elegance to her.
>You quickly slapped yourself to prevent you from getting another frickin’ blush and to also regain your stern composure.
“I don’t know if Sassy told you about the fact that Blueblood is coming to your grand opening, and if she didn’t”
>You shot a glare at Sassy Saddles

“Don’t do it ever again! And I mean never!”
> The cerulean mare frantically nodded and gave you a salute ”N-Noted! It won’t happen again, your highness!”
“Glad you catch my drift, now…”
>You turned to Rarity again and… softened up a bit
“I really have no clue what happened between you and Blueblood… but knowing that lazy, arrogant, good-for-nothing jerk, I bet it was nothing good and it was absolutely his fault, but if Sassy is so sure that he can be useful, maybe you should listen to her. It’s her job to make sure that the Carrousel Boutique becomes the next big thing after all.”
>Rarity looked at Sassy with a warm smile and the back at you “I will surely take your advice. Thank you, darling. Despite-“
>You raised your hoof to interrupt Rarity as you held up your head with arrogance
“Ah, ah, ah! I’m not finished yet”
>Rarity didn’t say anything, she just tilted her head back and raised an eyebrow.
“I also want your boutique to be the new hot thing… and I’m starting to feel bad about yelling at you so much, so I’ll offer you a deal. You accept my apology and I’ll take care of your Blueblood problem… but not in like, I’ll use my magic on him or anything… unless he tries to hits me again…”
>”HE TRIED TO WHAT?!” Rarity and everyone else gasped in shock… except for Eris who was… wait, why was she looking so mad?
>”Heh…” The lizard chuckle “That Blueblood may not be a total bad guy after all…”
>Before you or anyone else could snap at that mentally challenged reptile, Eris slapped the back of his head “Ouch! Hey! Why did you that…” Of course, once he realized who hit him, the guy let out a whimper and looked down at the floor.

“Yeah, long story… which ends on Blueblood not being allowed in the castle again… part of me wants him to try just so I can see Aegia…”
>Dang, man. You just got sidetracked
“T-That’s beside the point. You forgive me for yelling like I did and I promise that not only Blueblood will recommend the Carrousel Boutique to all of his snobbish friends, but he also won’t be a problem for anypony”
>”Hey! What about us!” RD angrily said
>”Yeah!” Applejack nodded “Ah reckon we deserve an apology too!”
“What about you? ARE YOU SERIOUS?! You two started arguing out of nowhere and for the dumbest thing possible! If anything, you owe Rariiy an apology more than me!”
>”Well, darling. Of course I accept your apology, and the eventual show of regret from Rainbow and Applejack, but...” Rarity raised an eyebrow and looked at her friends and then at you with worry “Are you absolutely sure you want to do this? That brute already tried to harm you once.”
“More like twice, and meh, I can shoot lasers, cast shields and immobilize ponies now, he’s nothing that my magic can’t handle… and is not like Eris would let him do anything to me, right sis?”
>You turned to Eris with a big smile on your face, which quickly disappeared the moment you realized how truly angry she was.
>Eris narrowed her eyes and growled “The only reason why that dude is not a toad yet is ‘cause he can bring a lot of ponies with cash to this place. But I swear, if he touches my dork, even one hair of his nerdy mane, then the guy will spend the rest of his days in the void”

>”That… may be a bit extreme” Twilight looked at Eris with mild annoyance and then turned to Rarity “But Eris… sweet Celestia, I can’t believe that I’m going to say this… Eris is not entirely wrong. I doubt that Blueblood would try to harm Anon again, especially with a big crowd, but if he does… then I’ll have to show him the door in a not so friendly way”
“Sounds good to me. What do you say, Rarity?”
>”Well…” Rarity tapped her chin and then sighed in defeat “Very well, but you also have to promise me that if Blueblood starts acting like the uncouth brute that he is, then you will tell Eris or Twilight or any of use about it”
“You have deal! Now…”
>You gave Rarity an awkward smile
“I do have a plan to manage our Blueblood problem, trust me, it’s totally air tight.”
>It doesn’t, in fact, you don’t have a fully elaborated plan…yet. The only thing you have right now is to let the ones you knew the most about the main reason on why you decided to offer your help in dealing with Blueblood.
“The thing is that I kind of need Eris, RD and Twilight in order for it to work… so… uh… before I try the clothes you made for me, can I talk to them… in private?”
>”Sure, you can” Rarity nodded “Please, use the backroom to go over the details of your pattern as Sassy would put it while me and the girls make this place presentable once again”
“Thank you, Rarity! And… uh… sorry for… y’know”
>”As I said before, apologize accepted”
>You nodded to her and then motioned RD, Eris and the purple hotness to follow you.

>The first one who come with you was Eris who after making sure the two of you were alone, narrowed her eyes and then grabbed your face with her paw and talons and gave it a thorough look “What are you hiding from me, dork?”
“Now what has gotten into you?
>Eris was firmly holding you as she continued inspecting your face “Don’t play dumb with me dork. I know you better than anypony else in this world and I know that you don’t speak like a normal dude.”
>You slapped Eris’ paw away from you and gave her a stoic look
“Since I got grounded by moms.”
>”You? Grounded? C’mon, you’re the biggest goodie two shoes I know!” Eris snickered and nudged your shoulder “What did you, eh? Did you smell a rose the wrong way? Did you not say hi to a passing pony?”
“I got into a fight… and no, I didn’t win”
>”Ahahahah! Wait…” Eris’s face suddenly became filled with anger “Did I hear that right? YOU got involved in a fight? With who?!”
“Some jock from my school, look, that’s not important. I need to-“
>”Nah, nah, nah! You don’t come to your big sis and tell me that you got your flank handled to you by some random schmuck who gets high with his own mane gel and then say is not important! I’m the one who makes those calls!”
>You slapped your face and groaned
“Y’know, I have other things to worry about than that idiot. Very, very important things. Just… forget about the fight, alright?”

>Eris narrowed her eyes at you and lifted her paw to speak, but before she could say anything, Twilight and RD entered the backroom.
>The first one to speak was Twilight ”Sorry for being late!”
>”Yeah, we would’ve been here sooner but…” RD glared at you “we were helping Rarity to clean up the mess that somepony did”
“Yeah, about that… sorry. I really don’t know how I did that but… yeah, sorry”
>”While I personally accept your apology” Twilight nodded “I think that is Rarity you should be apologizing to”
“Wait, but I did that”
>”Sure!” RD rolled her eyes and replied in a sarcastic tone “You said sorry about wrecking her whole store and yelling like a crazy pony! But what about all the stuff she made just for you and that you simply shrugged it off?! Listen squirt. Rarity may not show it because fancy code or whatever, but I know her, the way you ran here without trying or caring about those clothes? That’s the kind of stuff that really gets to her”
”Oh… geez… guess I messed it up… again”

>”Anon” Twilight gently placed her hoof on your shoulder “I know that you didn’t intend on hurting Rarity’s feelings and I’m not going to argue against what you said back there. But as I told you during our conversation, we all have things to learn, in your case, you have to be a bit more mindful about other ponies’ feelings next time, alright?”
>”What Twilight said. You just gotta be thankful and all that.” RD hovered above you and shrugged “Anyway, going back to business. What’s the plan to deal with Blueblood? Do we kick him out the moment he shows his ugly face? Because I gotta tell you squirt, Applejack has a very big mean kick that will do the job. I can hold the dude and-”
>”Rainbow!” Twilight yelled at RD as she stomped her hooves “Were you even listening to what Anon and Sassy said?”
>”Not really”
>”We can’t simply throw Blueblood out! That would seriously hurt Rarity’s reputation”
>”I dunno, he tried to punch the squirt twice, didn’t he? That’s enough reason for me to beat the guy into tiny pony pieces. I mean, if he tried to do the same to Scootaloo, then I’ll-“
“We are not harming Blueblood!”
>Everyone turned to you with an inquisitive look in their faces.
>Using your magic, you pulled a nearby chair close to you and climbed it off. Then you rubbed your temples and let out a sigh.
“We CAN’T harm Blueblood, under any circumstance. Otherwise everything will be lost”
>Twilight raised an eyebrow and asked confused ”What are you talking about? What’s going to be lost?”
>Eris rolled her eyes and shot an arrogant look to Twilight ”Purple, I know you’re kind of slow, but c’mon, think a little! He’s obviously talking about the reason why he asked us and only us to come here. Spit it out, dork. You know I hate waiting for bad news”

“Alright, then I’ll go straight to the point without sugarcoating anything. Blueblood has key information about the changelings. To be more exact, they are arriving to Canterlot by the end of the week in one of his cargo airboats”
>Both RD and Twilight let out a super loud ”WHAT?!”
>Meanwhile, Eris simply shrugged ”Meh, I expected worse, but keep going ‘cause you just got my curiosity going”
“That’s not very hard to do but okay, I’ll answer the obvious question first. Yes, my moms already asked Blueblood for the info, but in exchange for that, Blueblood has made a bunch of stupid demands that would take forever to fulfill... and no, chaos magic wouldn’t help. So, it is our job to get that information and tonight’s event is the perfect opportunity for that.”
>”OR!” RD quickly interrupted “What if… we take the guy into a dark alleyway, and then” she smashed her hooves together “BAM! We beat him until he sings! It’s perfect! And it would help me to test my new and patented uppercut too!”
>Twilight shook her head, stomped her hoof on the ground and then yelled at RD ”Rainbow!”
>”What?” RD shrugged “Sounds good to me”
>You couldn’t help but to raise an eyebrow at the cyan Pegasus and ask
“Did you actually patented an uppercut?”
>”Of course I did!” RD proudly nodded “I even have the papers in my house!”
>”Rainbow! Wait…” Twilight tapped her chin and then shot a glare at RD “So that’s why you asked me to organize all of that paperwork?”

>”Well, duh! I’m too cool to do that kind of boring stuff”
“Well, I won’t deny that you actually managed to patent a punch”
>”Uppercut”
“Whatever, but we’re not doing that first because that’s actually my plan C”
>”Anon!” Twilight yelled at you before raising an eyebrow and asking “Wait… What are plans A and B?”
“Plan B is… well…”
>You looked at Eris with a huge smirk on your face
“Eris and Discord use their “charm” to make Blueblood talk”
>Eris giggled and waved her paw dismissively ”You only need me for that, dork. I just spin my cute little paw, take the dude’s brain out, get what you want, put the knotty brain back in its place and presto! Oh… then I’ll transform him into a toad, because that would be funny”
>Twilight groaned as she gave Eris a disgusted look ”That’s… very you. That’s all I will say”
“It’s also efficient but cruel enough that I don’t ever want to go down that route unless plan A is a total failure… except for the toad part, that’s actually funny. Anyway, plan A is to make Blueblood to give us the information on his own, and more importantly it has to be in a way that he doesn’t realize it while at the same time leaving him with such a great impression on Rarity’s boutique that he will recommend it to all of his snobbish friends”
>”That sounds cool and all, but tell me, dork.” Eris gently placed her talon behind her chin and raised your head “How do you plan to pull your little plan off?”
>You took a step back, rubbed the back of your head and gave everyone a nervous smile
“I… I’m not sure yet… that’s also why I brought you here, y’know? So you can help me out with some ideas”
