  1. I'm hoping this question could be passed onto someone in some type of engineering department.
  2.
  3. I am looking into the very common statement that it is unwise to store condoms in one's wallet. It is such a common statement that everyone seems to accept it, and I just wanted to inquire with some manufacturers as to the data that led to this advice. I'm an engineer myself and have a couple possible ideas:
  4.
  5. - latex degredation at a temperature commonly reached in a typical wallet?
  6. - friction causing breakdown at pressure points in the form of actual holes or weak spots.
  7.
  8. What tests do condom engineering companies perform to determine recommendations for ideal storage conditions, expiration dates, and recommendations against wallet storage? Is any of the data publicly available?
  9.
  10.
  11. Thanks!
