- >THE REAL FINAL ACTUAL STEPS ON HOW TO USE TRAY FILES THAT HAVE A MISMATCHED VERSION
- >Step 1
- Download the tray files of your choice. Don't put them into your tray folder yet.
- >Step 2
- Go into TS4. Create a random family with the same amount of sims as the household you've just downloaded.
- >Step 3
- Save the family. Make sure you note what time you've saved this family into your folder.
- >Step 4
- Exit the game and navigate to the tray folder in your Sims 4 folder. Find the HOUSEHOLDBINARY file that matches the family you just created. It should have the time and date that was just saved.
- >Step 5
- Copy the HOUSEHOLDBINARY filename over the one in the downloaded sims tray files.
- >Step 7
- Delete the random family's SGI & HOUSEHOLDBINARY tray files out of the MAIN TRAY folder. Move the SGI & the renamed HOUSEHOLDBINARY tray files from the downloaded sims into your tray.
- >Step 8
- Start up the game. The downloaded sims should now work with your version! Make sure custom content is enabled in the left side tabs. Have fun!
