Having served Count Dracula as one of his seven guards, Lance spent most of his early life guarding his coffin as he slept during the day. Often tasked with bringing in the rare beauties his master preferred to feed on, he wasn't turned into an Immortal of the Night until he was replaced. Switching from day to night was a drastic change, causing him to abandon what little family he had and to follow in his master's footsteps to perfect the art. Learning to control his abilities was something he became accustomed to, often using his gifts to lure women to Dracula's side. Upon fancying Mina Harker, he was bound to a tree to await his death by means of the rising sun. Taking advantage of his powers, he summoned a thick clouded storm to create a barrier from the light and left to live out his eternity in exile.<br>
