  1. Faction Fluff: Steele Incorporated has been owned by the descendents of Adam Steele for over two centuries now, the latest of which is Joseph Steele. They are, today, among the longest-lived corporations in the world, and by far the oldest megacorp. The secret to the success of the Steele family has been relatively simple - the idea that a Steele is made, not born. Steele Incorporated began in 1941 as Steele Arms, producing munitions and weapons for the Second World War, and made its fortune switching to heavy industrial manufacturing before its competition in 1945, rising to the national level as a reliable and efficient producer of advanced materials and industrial supply. Since then, the company has been in a state of perpetual growth from a line of pragmatic and uncompromising owners, branching out to biotechnology, electronics, security and agricultural production under the banner of Steele Incorporated, with its backbone fully rooted in its ever-expanding factories of heavy industry. Steele Incorporated pays the single best salaries in America, for which it demands - and gets - the best labor force, researchers, and security within it. That doesn't mean they play nice.

  3. Fluff: Joseph Steele's father was not incompetent by the standard meaning of the world, but he was for a Steele. Failing to expand the corporation's influence or power significantly over a fourty-eight year period of control, his only notable achievement was a rebranding to 'Eagle Corp', as he felt that the personal name of an individual as the face of a megacorp was out of date. The first thing Joseph Steele did upon coming to power was to change the name back to Steele Incorporated. Of all the Steeles, he may be the most ambitious, as Joseph intends to make full use of the Steele Incorporated machine for what his predecessors could never fully obtain - absolute power. Steele is not a cruel man, nor is he unjust. Instead, he is cold and singleminded, driven by the thought of wiping out the weak and inferior corporations that intend to compete with him, of building a city, and a world, where a man's fate rests only on his own shoulders.

  5. It's rumored that a close friend of Steele's father and member of the board had, on Joseph's third day in power, gotten his son appointed as a personal adviser to Steele himself, without his consent. In response, Steele had him thrown off the building's top floor, and reinstated the Board as directly below executive management. Steele fails to think in the terms of rich and poor as they are today given, but instead in the terms of the competent and the worthless, producers and their leeches. This has won him few friends among the corporate elite, but a deadly efficient corporation.
