  1. It was late in the warm summer afternoon and you had just gotten home, and you were exhausted. You decided to go to bed early, seeing you actually had plans for tomorrow instead of spending the weekend alone at home sleeping like you normally would.
  2.
  3. Let's go over the past week, shall we.
  4.
  5. Today you were determined to try the Farmers Market and see what all the excitement was. As you stroll through the crowded street, weaving your way between people you being to notice that alot of the food on display is from the store you usually go to, you can tell because the price tags are still there. You ignore this and try to find one person selling actual fresh produce, because you should try to eat healthy. You decide to buy from an older man, probably in his late 50's. He looks like he grew everything himself, stuff that grew out of the dirt has dirt on it, and the eggs aren't polished to the point where they are shining. His skin that looks like a car's leather seats, and his hands show more dirt than skin. But the most important factor you have for choosing him, his food doesn't have a watermarked price tag on it.
  6.
  7. As you walk up to his stand, he turns away from the rear of the stand and towards you. "Hello young man, how can I help you today.".
  8.
  9. "I'm just looking for food that isn't supposed to be microwaved, figured I should try this place for once.".
  10.
  11. "Well, you've come to the right place, I grow everything here with my family. We put care into our fruit, and it always comes out as close to perfect as we can get it.".
  12.
  13. You like this guy, so you decide to buy from him. You bought what you knew how to cook, mainly eggs, corn, tomatoes, and potatoes. You bought some other stuff that you didn't know how to cook, but since you're going this far, might as well buy something new and wing it on the cooking.
  14.
  15. "Thank you young man, me and the family really appreciate it.".
  16.
  17. "It's nothing, really. You just seemed like the only honest person here, and this was the best looking food.".
  18.
  19. "My daughter would love to hear that, she put more work in this year than anyone. Laura, this nice man would like to thank you.". As he says this, you hear something drop to the ground behind the stand. "Young man, this is my daughter Laura.". 'Laura' walked out from behind the stand. Turns out she was a Hellhound, a 7 foot tall Hellhound in overalls. Normally you would laugh hearing this from someone else, but you were face to face with her, so you held your tongue.
  20.
  21. She walks over to you, towering over you. Her pitch black fur making her feel like a silhouette or a living shadow. "Hi there, care to tell me your name, because I doubt you're really 'Young Man' like my dad seems to believe.". She reaches her hand out towards you.
  22.
  23. "I'm Anon, nice to meet you.". You meet her hand with yours and shake it. She just about crushes you in her grip, like a brick being dropped on a twig. She picks up on this and loosens it up. With your hand out of danger you start take in her foreign feel. Her fur feels weird, but her hand is comfortably warm, probably because parts of it are on fire.
  24.
  25. Her father vanishes behind the stand, probably to replace what you just bought. "So you like my food?" She says with a pleasant smile
  26.
  27. "I don't know yet, I'll have to wait until I get home to find that out, unless you want to cook this for me."
  28.
  29. Her smile turns into a cocky grin, taking this as a challenge. She takes an egg from the stand and waves it in front you. She taps the egg with the tip of her claw, cracking it open. She begins pouring the contents on her breast. The fires on her body begin to flare and the egg begins to sizzle. After a few moments the egg starts to take shape, losing it's fluid body and growing solid in color. It takes her less than a minute for her to cook the egg like this, yoke centered in her cleavage.
  30.
  31. The fires on her body begin to grow duller, but stay more active then before. "Does that answer your question Anon." Before you can answer, her father grabs her by the tail and pulls on it, forcing a yelp out of her.
  32.
  33. "I raised you better than that, acting like this in public. You're just like your mom when I first met her."
  34.
  35. "Isn't that a good thing Dad, you married her after all!". Her fires flared up again, the heat forcing a sweat out of you as you stood there quietly, letting the Father and Daughter argue in the middle of the market.
  36.
  37. After a few uncomfortable minutes of them yelling at each other, and drawing most of the public's attention, they stop arguing, Laura cleaning the egg off of her breast, having burnt it from the lack of attention and the intensity of her angry fires.
  38.
  39. "Thank you young man, come back tomorrow.".
  40.
  41. "Yes Anon, please do. OW, Dad stop that!".
  42.
  43. "Stop acting like that.".
  44.
  45. "Like what, I said what you said.".
  46.
  47. "Yeah, but you said it like a tease, and that egg you ruined is coming out of your allowance.".
  48.
  49. You leave the father and daughter behind as they start to argue again, a feint heat warming your back as you begin heading home.
