[21:45] <Deathbane> It is now 6th September, 3067, 14:00 hours. The cadets, having narrowly avoided death at the hands of the alien Xenoform, have returned from their mission. Surprisingly, with all their limbs intact. Upon arriving, the team was immediately tended to by medical personnel. Remus's situation was considered severe enough to warrant a short stay in the autodoc, and several hours of intensive treatment. The other cadets were practically ordered to rest, and to report debrief the following day.

[21:48] <Deathbane> Acting Star Commander Banthe summons you by sending a courier to wake you all from your restful sleep. Her first order is that you first meet in the Elemental Training facilities mess hall for sustenance, before proceeding to the debriefing room for 15:00 hours.
[21:49] <^Stephan^> During rests, stephan spent his time either in various tryining simulators or trying to discover more about the mesterious Xenoforms that he nearly dies form.

[21:50] * Ridian tried to avoid thinking about the xenoform by spending his night stimmed to the eyeballs in a simulator
[21:51] * ^Vane^ replaced his broken equipment after treatment, then slept.
[21:51] <^Stephan^> Obviously Stephan had some sleep too
[21:51] * ^Stephan^ arrives in messhall and grabs as large portion of food as he can.
[21:52] * Jacob_Dorn meanwhile during the down time had been spening it going over and over the Mission Log trying determin the extent of weapons used by the base garison and any othet "visitors" useing his knoledge as a Weapons Technician.
[21:53] * Ridian chows down in the mess vibrating as ever

[21:54] * Jacob_Dorn enters teh mess hall, his PDA attaches to his belt he heads over to where teh foods at but thinking of a certain shade of blue searches for a Vegitarian option
[21:54] <Deathbane> *You notice that the mess is mostly empty, as well as the base. It appears that the elementals are definetly no longer on site.*

[22:04] * Jacob_Dorn turns round and looks a little shocked by the mans appearnce but scratches his head and dismisses him form his mind for the time being

[22:05] * ^Vane^ tiring of the meal, and Stephan, finds some coffee.
[22:05] * Ridian ignores Stephan and waves at the technician
[22:06] <Deathbane> *The technician, getting up after finishing his rations, moves past you again heading for the exit. However, on the way, he accidentally bumps into Dorn, grabbing onto him for support to stop himself from stumbling over*
[22:06] * Jacob_Dorn leans back against the wall and grunts quietly at the moment of slight pain from the wound on his back, he then reaches for his PDA and reviews its stored data while chewing some onething edible from the dispenser
[22:07] <Jacob_Dorn> Woah.
[22:07] <Deathbane> "Sorry" he quickly mutters, before picking himself up again. "I can't, I'm afraid I am busy". *With that, he makes quickly for the exit*

[22:08] * ^Vane^ strolls over to Dorn, caff in hand.

[22:20] <Deathbane> *Walking along to the briefing room takes awhile. You almost get lost amongst the winding, spartan corridors of corrigated steel and ferroglass. You cross a small open section, and into the command centre building, and on and upwards into the main room. Walking in, you  see row upon row of computer terminals and holographic displays, illuminated by dull lighting and a rectangular skylight. Commander Banthe turns to you and speaks clearly. "You are early Cadets, a commendable trait."
[22:22] * Ridian raises arm perpendicular to the body, spins the hand 6 times then sweeps up into a saulte before letting his hand slowly swish down and slap to his side
[22:22] <Deathbane> Raising an eyebrow, she continues
[22:23] <Ridian> Afternoon  actin cap'n

[22:23] <Deathbane> *It is unfortunate that your other team members will not be able to make it today. The medics inform me that Cadet Remus still requires medical attention, and Dierson has been given additional time to formulate his report"

[22:25] <Deathbane> "Than originally planned for. Your transfer orders are in: You are shipping out today to your assigned unit"*
[22:25] <Deathbane> "As such, I require as much information as possible about last nights operatoin.. as we will need to send in another team to properly clean out the facility"
[22:25] <Deathbane> "It is my understanding you did not secure it entirely, quiaff?"

[22:26] <^Vane^> The mission was to find out why we lost contact with it.
[22:27] <^Stephan^> I would recommend a point of elementals at least. The creatures we have encountered are more then a mathc for infantry armor and have infantry or elemental grade armor themselves
[22:27] <^Vane^> After doing so, we exfiltrated, due to the extreme circumstances. We were not fit to secure the facility in it's entirety.
[22:28] <Ridian> Id recommend fire, lots and lots of fire
[22:28] <^Stephan^> We have also came under psionic influence form the creatures.
[22:28] <Deathbane> *she nods* "Aff, but I cannot dismiss a certain report, the only one I received, which stated the recon aspect of the mission left much to be desired"
[22:29] <Deathbane> "As for Psionic influence,No known creature on Borea has such abilities.*
[22:30] <^Vane^> SOME of us were under some sort of influence.
[22:30] <^Stephan^> Aff, We did not access the command section or the final lever
[22:31] <Deathbane> "Well, if that is the case, the Scientist caste would be very interested. What were the reasons for not accessing the command section? Were computer logs retrieved from the facilitys mainframe?"
[22:31] <^Stephan^> It was the leads decision, after he survived an attack form one of the smaller xenoforms, that we depart with haste
[22:31] <^Vane^> I belive cadet Remus have several logs.
[22:31] <^Stephan^> disregarding my advice that we should at least do a surface reconnnisance
[22:31] <Deathbane> "Retreat in the face of adversity is not the clan way. I have doubts Dierson Pyre, Cadet though he is now, would make such an order based on his personnel report"
[22:32] <^Vane^> The reason for exfiltration at the junction we did was that we would most likely fail the mission altogether due to the strenght of the opposition.
[22:33] * ^Vane^ stern look in Stephan's direction.
[22:33] <^Stephan^> It was nat an outright order of retreat, per se, Star commander. But It WAS a decission to not conduct firther reconissance.
[22:34] <^Vane^> Not to mention, most of the team are MechWarriors, not recon infantry. Our abilities in this sort of operation were thus limited.
[22:34] <Jacob_Dorn> REguardless we still had a Mission to do.
[22:35] <Deathbane> "All of you have ample training to conduct infantry missions. You are not mechwarriors yet, do not be so presumptous." She furrows her brow "Cadet Dorn is right. What was the operational capacity of the unit when it was ordered to withdraw? According to the PDA logs, at this point, only one creature has been encountered and it had been dealt with"
[22:36] <^Stephan^> To that I say true, we were not equiped properly to secure the station or combat the xenoforms, but I believe that we coluld have at least attempted a more deeper study.
[22:36] <^Vane^> I regard Dierson Pyre's judgement to be sound. Continue inside the facility would most likely have ended in loss of a star and no information gained.
[22:37] <Ridian> Better to live, report and not waste more forces by having inaccurate or missing data
[22:37] <Ridian> or atleast, thats whay I reckon
[22:38] <Jacob_Dorn> Star Commander, apologies for being frank but, Imagine faceing down a Star of Elementals with big sythlike arms and tentacles thats hell bent on your blood, and you are armed with nothing but a standard Rifle and a sheet metal suit.

[22:40] <Deathbane> "These conflicting reports are unnecessary and unbefitting. Did you have a clear access route to the mainframe, as indicated by the report or not" She looks at Dorn

[22:53] * _Remus surveys the room, paying respect to the obvious authority figure in the room.

[22:57] <_Remus> *get wheeled forward slightly*Ma'am? I don't think there is much I can add? I found additional files on the crashed hovertank, and I managed to recover admin access on the databanks before we left, but unfortunately was not able to utilize much.
[22:59] <Deathbane> "At least some data was indeed recovered then. What is your take on the command room situation? Were you ordered not to proceed to the mainframe but instead exfiltrate?"
[23:03] <_Remus> "It was after some of the...activities that the local fauna did not like. Lead felt time was of the essence, so once I had the map files for where the labs and the command center were, We were told to respond to that."
[23:06] <Deathbane> "So did you investigate the Command Center? Please be blunt Cadet."
[23:10] <_Remus> "Neg, en route to the Command Center we enoutered that strange creature I am sure Dorn told you about. After the struggle with the creature Lead made the decision to exfiltrate."
[23:11] <Deathbane> "What was his reasons for exfiltration? Was it tactical or otherwise?"
[23:12] <Deathbane> "One xenoform..."
[23:15] <_Remus> "Personally, I believe it was fear, though he did not state directly. After his being being picked up, it was hard to see what occurred between the two of them, but there was an obvious struggle."
[23:15] * Jacob_Dorn reaches for his PDA and scans through its data
[23:16] <_Remus> "We also encountered a nest of the worms during extraction."
[23:16] <Deathbane> "Juveniles?"
[23:17] <_Remus> "Mostly. There was what I assume was a broodmother, or an adult of someform."
[23:19] <Jacob_Dorn> Oh good some imiges where captured.

[23:19] <Jacob_Dorn> Star Commander If i May interject.

[23:22] * Jacob_Dorn arpoaches teh Star Commander and hands her his PDA, on it are a series of pictures although slightly fuzzy due to teh chaos of the battle they cleayly show the scense ofthe battle as well as the struggle the squad wen through in fighting them
[23:25] <Jacob_Dorn> Luck has it that I manages to capture some photos of a "Pack" of the same creature that attacked Lead Dierson
[23:26] * Jacob_Dorn the photos also show the creatures rough form and shape
[23:26] <Jacob_Dorn> In the chaos of the escape they chased after out Unit and a fight was unavoidable
[23:28] <Deathbane> She nods. "I have never seen such a Xenoform before. Dierson was right to be concerned by this... Send me a copy of this  Cadet Jacob. This has been satisfactory.. I still have questions, but I can understand to a degree why an exfiltration might have been in order. Please however, submit a report on arrival at your new posting."

[23:29] <^Stephan^> I would like to add a perculiar thing we did notice in arrivals, about a specific rover.
[23:30] <^Stephan^> Initially stationed on the research facility, it was sent away on one of the shipments.

[23:31] <^Stephan^>  the rover was then returned to the base in a non-regular shipment with a tramsitor malfunction.
[23:31] <Deathbane> "Save it for the report, Cadet Stephan. Although surely that will be necessary. Cadet Remus, you will be sent to the Starport for assignment to the Third White Fangs, and dispatch on I believe your units first mission.
[23:31] <Deathbane> "I have no further information. Now, on to the actual matter at hand"
[23:32] <^Stephan^> Which seemed to shiw itself rought at the time the base stopped sending transmissions.
[23:34] <Deathbane> She goes on.  "Jerrold has noticed that the unit is understrength. As such, he has selected a new candidate to be sent onward to DeVega. This is cleared and official. I do not know much about the Cadet to be joining you, other than he has been working under Jerrolds unit as a technician up until now. Apparently he showed some eptitude for mech piloting, so has been recommended for inclusion into your unit."
[23:38] <Deathbane> "He has been here for several days facilitating with the Elementals deployment. He will meet you onboard the VTOL transport destined for the starport, which should arrive at 16:00 hours. You are to have your equipment handed over, and be ready to redeploy at that time. You understand, quiaff?"

[23:39] <Deathbane> "Good. Keeping DeVega waiting is on my head as much as yours. Remember : Reports, Dierson will follow you along tomorrow when he has settled the necessary. DeVega has been informed the deployment has had to be delayed due to this altercation, and he is not best pleased."

[23:48] <Deathbane> *With that, the cadets leave for the armoury to ensure that all the equipment has been successfully returned. It is a few hours later, at 15:30, when you all arrive at the terminal to the Facilities single VTOL pad.

[00:50] <Deathbane> *Entering the cockpit, Stephan sees a large cannister connected to some feed, jury rigged into the cockpits life support. There are large warnigns and text on the side, but it a delirious state stephan cannot make out the words*

[01:05] <Deathbane> *WIth that, Vane falls unconcious. Ridian stands alone, the only one remotely concious.  Although far from good, his condition appears to no longer be deteriorating*

[01:08] <Deathbane> *Ridian notices that the unit is apparently on autopilot. The destination coords do not match the starport, however*

[01:10] <Deathbane> *Ridian is successful as he puts in the coordinates. He then feels a wave of tiredness flow over him, and he succumbs to the poison, falling uncncious*
