dragomorph: The outside of the ruins you find yourself at today looks a lot like a Grecian temple.  Corinthian pillars hold up an impressively carved roof.
dragomorph: You can see the building inside; there are large, closed doors leading inside.
greenmorningstar: Yuta peers at the ruins. "Stuff like this really makes me wonder just what kind of place this used to be..."
bengalisonata: "Seems like a hodge-podge of everything," Jaime sighs, scratching his chin as he stares up at the roof. "But I guess we won't know unless we go in."
HurricaneChris04: Ky runs a hand through his hair and takes a few steps forward. "Then let's get going."
dragomorph: As you enter the temple, you are immediately greeted by two sets of stairs on either side of you, both leading down.
dragomorph: In front of you, the building stretches forward, with columns on either side.  A large statue of some unknown God can be seen on the other end, watching over those who approach.
greenmorningstar: Yuta sighs and puts his hands on his hips. "Looks like there's already a split. Should we check them out together or not?"
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "There are too few of us to split up. Let's stick together."
dragomorph: As you consider your next move, you see something move -- a small fuzzy creature, walking somewhat unsteadily.  It stops in front of the statue.
bengalisonata: Jaime doesn't know why, but he's drawn towards the right side. He gestures for the others to follow, "You think we should go ahead that way?"
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "Wait. Do either of you recognize that creature?"
greenmorningstar: Yuta stares at it. One of these days he'll get used to strange creatures everywhere, but each time he sees a new one, he can't help but pause. "Nope."
dragomorph: It doesn't SEEM overtly dangerous...  It's looking up at the statue now.
greenmorningstar: Yuta trots up to it. "Hey, what are you looking at?"
bengalisonata: Jaime shakes his head as he looks back at Ky, "Nope. Doesn't seem like it'll hurt us, though."
dragomorph: The creature turns towards Yuta.  "Kupo..."
greenmorningstar: He cocks his head to the side. "Kupo? What's that supposed to mean?"
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "Is that its cry?"
dragomorph: "Kupo.  Kupo."
dragomorph: "kUpOOOO..."
dragomorph: The creature suddenly begins to shift and distort in a seemingly painful manner.  Limbs elongate and warp; the eyes suddenly fly open wide and expand.  The entire creature grows.
dragomorph: ...and turns blue.
HurricaneChris04: Ky's right hand moves instinctively to Thunderseal's hilt.
greenmorningstar: Yuta gives a cry and falls back, scrambling to move away
greenmorningstar: .
dragomorph: What was once small and fuzzy is now horrendous and blue, a puffball and wings the only remaining indication of what it was.
dragomorph: It begins to approach.
greenmorningstar: Yuta's first instict is to isolate it immediately because oh god make it go away.
bengalisonata: Jaime immediately shrinks back and holds out his hands in front of him, as if to create a---a giant five foot shield. His hands just turned into a goshdarn freaking *shield*.
dragomorph: For a moment, it seems to work; the creature bumps up against the box.  It knocks on it, testing.  Then knocks, harder and harder, the whole thing shaking.
greenmorningstar: "Wh-what is this thing?!" Yuta grits his teeth with the effort of trying to keep it isolated.
dragomorph: Those outside can only get the feeling that SOMETHING is rumbling where it once was.
dragomorph: And then... cracks begin forming around it.
bengalisonata: Jaime manages to break his gaze from his shield to stare at Yuta and Ky. "Um guys... I think we should probably run."
greenmorningstar: "I'll go when you guys do, just hurry! I can't keep it much longer!"
dragomorph: The cracks are GROWING.
bengalisonata: "Dude, just break it and go!" Jaime wills himself to pick up his arms - his now gloved arms, how did that shield disappear - and motion towards Yuta. "I don't know what I just did, but the shield-thing could work!"
dragomorph: A shard pops out.  You can see one of its horrible eyes peering through.
greenmorningstar: Yuta's voice begins to crack out of desperation. "It's supposed to be impossible to break out of isolation. If it can do this to my powers, what do you think it'll do to yours?!"
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "Forget it, let's just go! Down the stairs to the left!"
greenmorningstar: The crack is enough to totally shatter his focus. The isolation is now completely undone. In a panic, Yuta begins making a run for the stairs to the left.
dragomorph: You all head down the stairs.  The monster, after a moment, pursues.
dragomorph: At the bottom of the stairs, you find yourselves in a hallway; there's a room directly in front of you, and another on the same wall further down to the left.
dragomorph: Each side of the hallway bends at the end; the way to the left bends to the left, and the right to the right, indicating a square or rectangle.
dragomorph: The creature is coming.  Where do you go?
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "Let me take the rear. I can set traps."
HurricaneChris04: As he speaks, he sets up a Stun Ray in the air at the bottom of the stairs.
greenmorningstar: Yuta merely nods in Ky's direction before continuing to run. Rather than trap himself in a room, he goes for the hallway on the right.
dragomorph: It charges down the stairs, intent on reaching the group; as a result, it doesn't see the trap, and its body stiffens as it is briefly stunned in place.
HurricaneChris04: Once it's stunned, Ky points Thunderseal at it from the end of the hall and unleashes a Stun Edge Charge. There's a big elecrical arrowhead barreling toward it now!
dragomorph: It definitely stuns it!  It doesn't seem to do any DAMAGE, though.  If you run, however, you may be able to lose it while its sorting itself out.
HurricaneChris04: Yeah, Ky's gonna bolt now.
dragomorph: The hallway to the right continues down before making another right at its end.  Two doors are to the left.  To the right, two pillars with statues can be seen, spaced widely from each other.
bengalisonata: Jaime's running as fast as he can. "Okay... so it likes traps. You think anyone'd get mad if we tried to say... make it hard for it to follow us?"
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "If we do that, it'll also know which way we're going."
HurricaneChris04: Ky takes a closer look at the doors.
dragomorph: They don't seem locked or anything.
greenmorningstar: Yuta: "It'll probably find us if it comes down this hallway anyway, so we might as well slow it down."
greenmorningstar: Yuta: "Also, can we pick which way to go? Like, now?"
dragomorph: You can hear the thing moving again.  You might wanna make a decision ASAP.
HurricaneChris04: Ky tries to open the right door.
bengalisonata: Jaime takes the left door and attempts to open it.
dragomorph:  There's a large dining table in here, with chairs all around it.  An odd centercloth can be seen on it -- but you may wanna do something about that thing finding you guys first.
dragomorph: The left door leads into what seems to be a kitchen.  There's a large fireplace with a pot over it, and counters and cupboards all about.
HurricaneChris04: Ky has an idea. "Go in the right door. I'll be right behind you."
HurricaneChris04: With that, he moves to the left door and targets a cupboard. A Stun Edge goes flying at it. Hopefully the sound of crashing plateware will throw it off.
greenmorningstar: Yuta reluctantly enters, moving to a far corner of the room. "I can isolate us here to make it hard to find us, but it might be able to break through..."
dragomorph: It does seem to stop for a second from the sounds of things!  It'll come charging around the corner any second now!
HurricaneChris04: Once he's caused a racket, he'll run back in the right door and shut it.
bengalisonata: Jaime follows suit, glancing around the room. "We could topple that table over..."
dragomorph: You can hear the sound of the thing entering the kitchen set off from the dining room.  Its footsteps echo through the room.
bengalisonata: "Create a blockade, hopefully delay it for a few more?" As he says this, he runs over to the side of the table and slams it straight on its side.
dragomorph: It heard that.  You can hear it approaching the door to the dining room!
HurricaneChris04: Ky facepalms.
greenmorningstar: Aw crap. Yuta practically throws a chair at the blockade to help shut it off.
HurricaneChris04: He then faces the door, ready to bring out the big guns in case they need to make a break for it.
dragomorph: There's a sound of thumping against the door.  Louder.  LOUDER.  The door begins to shake on its hinges.
bengalisonata: Jaime sheepishly throws the rest of the stuff at the blockade. Hey, might as well if he got the thing on their trail.
greenmorningstar: Yuta grimaces, bracing himself. "If that thing gets in here, I'm gonna isolate us, okay?"
dragomorph: After a minute or so of this pounding, it stops.  And then... footsteps away.  A few seconds; it seems to be gone.  Thankfully, it didn't think to check the second door in the hallway.
HurricaneChris04: Ky breathes a sigh of relief.
dragomorph: The tablepiece that had been on the table has fallen to the floor.
greenmorningstar: Yuta does the same, sinking to the ground wearily.
HurricaneChris04: Ky takes a closer look at the tablepiece.
dragomorph: It really is an odd thing, made of random blocks and little pinholes.  The way its fallen, however, emphasizes that it looks like this from above:  http://i.imgur.com/s0nr3.png
bengalisonata: Jaime runs a hand through his hair and thanks God under his breath. To Ky, he asks, "... so what're you looking at?"
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "This was on the table. It's some kind of odd centerpiece."
greenmorningstar: Well that gets his attention. Yuta crawls over, trying to get a good look at the centerpiece. "...What's it supposed to be?"
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "I'm trying to figure that out."
dragomorph: Perhaps something around the room might help elucidate this.
bengalisonata: Jaime glances around, stopping only to look at the fallen table. "It was on the table, right? Maybe it matches something?"
bengalisonata: He inspects the tablecloth, holding it out for Yuta and Ky.
dragomorph: The cloth seems to just be a standard tablecloth.
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "Let's keep looking around."
dragomorph: There's some paintings on the back wall.
greenmorningstar: Yuta will go ahead and examine the paintings as well.
dragomorph: One of them seems loose.
greenmorningstar: "...? What the heck?" He tries to pull it off.
dragomorph: There's a safe behind the painting!  A number pad is on it, and it seems to call for 3 numbers.
greenmorningstar: Yuta: "...Hey, I think I found something!"
greenmorningstar: Yuta: "...No idea how to get into it without the code, though."
HurricaneChris04: Forget looking at the tablepiece from above, Ky looks at it from other angles.
dragomorph: It doesn't seem to make much sense from any other angle than overhead...
greenmorningstar: Yuta: "Any ideas with the centerpiece yet?"
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "Unfortunately, no."
greenmorningstar: Yuta puts a hand to his chin, considering it. "...It was on the tablecloth, right? Did you try putting it on that?"
HurricaneChris04: No harm in trying. Ky sets it back down on the tablecloth and then looks at it from above again.
dragomorph: Doesn't seem to have changed much.  Although the lines on the cloth seem to coincide with the two groups of three pegs.
HurricaneChris04: He tries lining them up.
dragomorph: If nothing else, it seems to emphasize that the pegs should be connected as lines.
HurricaneChris04: Rotating it ninety degrees clockwise.
greenmorningstar: Meanwhile, Yuta will watch from across to try to spot anything.
bengalisonata: "Try rotating it again?" Jaime offers, though he's hesitant to speak up after earlier.
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "Try combination 1-5-3."
greenmorningstar: Yuta nods and runs to the safe, putting in 1-5-3.
dragomorph: The safe opens!  There's a small red gem inside.
greenmorningstar: Yuta takes the gemstone. "Okay... now what?"
dragomorph: *terateratera*
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "Would either of you be able to -- what was that?"
dragomorph: ...something is outside the hallway door.
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "Dammit!" He readies his sword and faces the door.
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "Move the table! We'll escape into the kitchen!"
greenmorningstar: Yuta initially backs up against the wall, but once Ky gives his order he quickly moves to comply.
bengalisonata: Jaime nods, immediately pushing the table towards the door.
dragomorph: Just in time, too; the door rattles.
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "I'll bring up the rear. Move!"
greenmorningstar: Yeah, Yuta doesn't need telling twice. To the kitchen he goes!
dragomorph: The door rattles more ferociously.
bengalisonata: Jaime follows suit, but not before tossing another chair for good measure.
dragomorph: The kitchen is a mess now, but the door out to the hallway is still usable.
HurricaneChris04: Ky goes over to the fireplace to check out the pot he remembered being there.
dragomorph: "...K-KUPO!"
dragomorph: Would you look at that!  There's another one of those little creatures, cowering at the bottom of it.
greenmorningstar: Yuta wasn't actually that close by, but he gives a jump at the sound. "What's that-?!"
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "It's another one of those creatures."
dragomorph: "Kupo.  kupopo.  Kupoooo...."  It's still cowering, but as it slowly realizes you're not big, blue and horrible, it seems to calm down a bit.
greenmorningstar: Yuta: "You mean like the one that turned into that monster?"
greenmorningstar: Yuta looks pretty unimpressed.
dragomorph: "Kupo?!  ...Kupo..."  It looks very sad.
bengalisonata: "Yeah, but maybe this one can't turn into... whatever that was..." Jaime approaches it.
dragomorph: It stands up, looking at all of you curiously.  It looks like it was sitting on something.  A book?
HurricaneChris04: Ky reaches for the book.

dragomorph: The fuzzy creature gesticulates and indicates; it sounds like it found it in one of the side rooms, but you're not certain.
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "Let's look for some bookshelves."
dragomorph: The thing hops and holds its arms up; it wants to go with you!
greenmorningstar: Well... it doesn't seem that dangerous, being small and not blue. "You can stick with me if you want," he says as he reaches to it.
dragomorph: Its wings flutter enthusiastically.  It allows it a bit of a boost to get out of the pot in addition to Yuta's reach.
greenmorningstar: Yuta picks up the moogle, awkwardly cradling it in his arms. "...Think you can hang onto my back? It'll be easier for me to run that way." He frees a hand to indicate his back, just in case.
dragomorph: It nods and does so.
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "All right. Let's begin our search."
dragomorph: Exiting back into the hallway, whatever was rattling at the door seems to have left, thank God.  Who knows for how long though.
bengalisonata: Jaime takes the lead, heading back to look for a side door they might've missed earlier. "There's gotta be a library around here somewhere..."
HurricaneChris04: As they exit, Ky takes a look at the statues across the hallway from the doors, now that they're not being pursued.
dragomorph: They're very nicely carved, and quite sophisticated.  There seems to be an indent in each of them.
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "Would the gem we found fit in here?"
greenmorningstar: "Maybe." Yuta walks up to it and tries to put the gemstone in.
dragomorph: Click.
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "It looks like we need another. Let's go back to the stairs and take the other hallway."
greenmorningstar: Yuta: "...You think the coast will be clear for us to get there?"
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "As far as I can tell, we don't have a choice.
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "Regardless of whether we decide to continue investigating or try to escape, we have to go back that way."
dragomorph: Back down the stair hallway you came from.  The other two doors are there as well.
HurricaneChris04: Ky opens the door on the left.
dragomorph: There's a small bedroom in here, with a bed, a trunk, and a cupboard.
bengalisonata: Jaime presses his lips, glancing over at the trunk before cautiously kneeling down to open it.
dragomorph: There's another book in here!
HurricaneChris04: Meanwhile, Ky checks the cupboard.

dragomorph: The cupboard is nice and empty.  You suppose a less well trained person would've been able to use it to hide.
bengalisonata: "Oh hey," Jaime grins, holding the book up. "This looks like the other one from earlier"
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "The spines are still incomprehensible, though. Let's check the other room."
dragomorph: The other room, it turns out, is identical to the one before.
bengalisonata: He nods, taking the book into his hands as they go into the other room. This time, Jaime's gonna look under the bed.

HurricaneChris04: Ky checks the trunk this time.
dragomorph: Nothing but junk.
greenmorningstar: And Yuta the closet!
dragomorph: Empty, again.
bengalisonata: "... And another book," Jaime blinks, holding it up.
greenmorningstar: Yuta: "...Bet we could hide someone in here if we had to."
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "Well, let's hope we don't have to."
greenmorningstar: Yuta nods as he shuts the cupboard, but he'll make a mental note of the rooms anyway.
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "...I think we're going to have to check the other stairway."
greenmorningstar: Yuta puts a hand to his face, looking more than a little displeased. "Of course. Ugh, might as well get it over with."
dragomorph: The hallway connected to the other stairs mirrors the first one.
bengalisonata: "Figures." Jaime sighs, taking the second book with him, just in case.
HurricaneChris04: Going left at the split after descending the stairs.
dragomorph: An identical room, yet again!
HurricaneChris04: Ky looks under the bed.
bengalisonata: Jaime inspects the cupboard.
dragomorph: Dust bunnies.

greenmorningstar: Yuta tried the trunk.
dragomorph: Is that... a rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle?
greenmorningstar: Yuta: "..."
greenmorningstar: Yuta closes the trunk.
HurricaneChris04: Into the adjacent room!
dragomorph: This one is identical!
HurricaneChris04: Ky looks in the trunk!
dragomorph: ...but before you can search anything, something BIG AND BLUE LEAPS OUT OF THE CUPBOARD!
HurricaneChris04: NEVER MIND GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE
HurricaneChris04: Also Stun Ray in the doorway!
greenmorningstar: Yuta runs back to hide in the closet, dragging the moogle with him!
dragomorph: "Kupooooooo!"  The moogle huddles.  Meanwhile, the creature gets stunlocked.  Again.  Wait, didn't the one you guys saw before have a puffball and wings...?
dragomorph: ...oh.  That explains it.  THAT one is currently trundling up the hall after you.
HurricaneChris04: Well, shit. Into the other bedroom!
HurricaneChris04: Once everyone's inside, Ky will attempt to barricade the door with the bed...but he'll need help lifting it.
bengalisonata: "There's TWO of them?" Jaime can't help moaning as he follows Ky and immediately helps with the barricade
greenmorningstar: Yuta curls up in his closet, holding his breath and holding tight to the moogle. He'll watch what's going on through the crack.
dragomorph: Room barricaded.  And there's some SERIOUS thumping going on with that door.
greenmorningstar: Yuta: "Stand close. I'll isolate you two if it gets in!"
dragomorph: There's some slight splintering!  They're really determined!
dragomorph: ...and yet the door holds.
dragomorph: And eventually, after far too long...
bengalisonata: Jaime winces, glancing down at his arms... which have now become giant shields. Again. "I really wish I could control this thing."
dragomorph: ...they leave.
greenmorningstar: Yuta waits for a moment longer before cautiously pushing open the closet door.
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "It sounds like they're gone."
HurricaneChris04: He gets ready to move the bed away from the door.
greenmorningstar: Yuta hops out of the closet, but he gestures to the moogle to stay inside for now.
dragomorph: The moogle noddities.
bengalisonata: Once Jaime's arms resume their normal shape, he kneels down and helps Ky with the bed.
dragomorph: The hall's clear.
HurricaneChris04: Ky checks the other bedroom again.
dragomorph: Nothing.
greenmorningstar: Yuta goes back to retrieve the moogle before following Ky!
dragomorph: Moogle likes you, man.
dragomorph: Either that or the posttraumatic disorder means it likes ANYBODY who's not those things.
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "All right. Back to the stairs, and down the other hall."
dragomorph: There's only one large door in this last hallway.  There are statues as well, but none of them have indents.
greenmorningstar: There is something to be said about having a living, winged backpack buddy. Yuta's being careful to make sure the moogle is with him at all times.
bengalisonata: Jaime heads towards the door and attempts to open it.
dragomorph: It opens easily.  Ther'es a small library here, with four shelves, and a large reading table in the middle.  A book sits on the table.

greenmorningstar: Yuta walks over to the book to pick it up. "Please tell me this is the last one..."
dragomorph: Seems to be!  ...now what.
bengalisonata: Jaime takes the books in his arms (he'd retreived them from earlier) and sets them on the table.
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "Let's try arranging the books in the proper order on one of the shelves."
greenmorningstar: Yuta sets his down as well. "Blue should be to the left of green... right?"
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "Yellow on the far left, then...let's go with red.
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "Then blue, green, white."
dragomorph: And sure enough!
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "6-4-7-3?"
dragomorph: So it seems!  Now to find where to use it.
greenmorningstar: Yuta: "Does anyone remember seeing a safe with four numbers?"
dragomorph: "Kupoo!"  The moogle's wings flutter happily.  So that's what that thing was for!
greenmorningstar: Yuta: "...Hey. Uh... Kupo." Since that's all he can think to call it. "Did you explore this place a lot before we found you?"
dragomorph: It scratches its head, then shrugs a bit.  A little, maybe?
greenmorningstar: Yuta: "Did you find any safes? Or... maybe some paintings?"
dragomorph: It hops off his shoulders and wanders a bit meanderingly.  Hmm...
dragomorph: It goes to the back wall of the library.
dragomorph: "Kupo!"  It seems to have found it!
greenmorningstar: Yuta follows!
dragomorph: There's a safe back here, all right!
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "...Let's barricade the door first.
greenmorningstar: Yuta hovers a hand by the safe. "Sounds like a good idea to me. I'll put in the numbers once the door's blocked."
HurricaneChris04: Ky heads to the table to move it in front of the door.
dragomorph: Door:  Blocked.
greenmorningstar: Yuta puts in the code. "6... 4... 7... 3!"
dragomorph: Click!  The safe opens.  There's a blue jewel inside.
greenmorningstar: Yuta picks it up and shows it to the others in the room. "Got it! Now we just need to go back to those statues!"
dragomorph: AND SUDDENLY THERE IS... no rattling, just to spite you.
HurricaneChris04: Better safe than sorry. Ky removes the table.
HurricaneChris04: "Then let's get going."
greenmorningstar: "Right." Moogle backpack is go once again!
HurricaneChris04: Ky leads the way back toward the statues.
dragomorph: The statues sit unguarded.
greenmorningstar: Yuta pops the gemstone in-!
dragomorph: Click.  A pause, and then a wall shudders open between the two of them.
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "Shall we?"
greenmorningstar: Yuta: "Yes, please." Is that a bit of desperation creeping into his voice?
bengalisonata: Jaime nods. "Might as well," He shrugs, before going ahead.
HurricaneChris04: Ky brings up the rear.
dragomorph: There's a large room inside; an alcove sits high in the back over some sort of altar.  But that's not the concerning part.
dragomorph: The concerning part is the huge, horrible mess of blue and EYES that is between you and the alcove and altar.  It doesn't seem to move very fast, but you suspect it's an issue.
dragomorph: The moogle huddles behind Yuta.
greenmorningstar: Yuta draws back only slightly before remembering how his power worked before. He attempts to isolate it to slow it down even more.
HurricaneChris04: Ky draws his sword. "Looks like we'll have to get past that thing!"dragomorph: It's isolated before it knows wtf.  But you get the feeling it won't last very long.
greenmorningstar: Yuta: "Go, quick! Before it breaks out!"
HurricaneChris04: Ky looks to Jaime: "Go! If it breaks out, I'll blast it!"
dragomorph: The moogle looks at Yuta, concerned.
bengalisonata: Jaime nods, holding a hand out towards the moogle before attempting to run towards that alcove.
dragomorph: It hesitates a bit, then flutters over to Jaime.
bengalisonata: "Sorry, Kupo, but it doesn't look like we have much of a choice..." Still, it doesn't look like it'll be hard to reach that alcove
dragomorph: Certainly not when you have something small that can hover for a bit!
dragomorph: ...if you remind it to do that and not cling to your back.
dragomorph: The cracks are beginning to develop.
greenmorningstar: Yuuta narrows his eyes, thinking only of that box. And how that box needs to keep existing as a box. Box, box, box, box.
bengalisonata: Jaime winces, immediately focusing his attention on that alcove. "Hey, Kupo... come on buddy, can you hover up there?"
dragomorph: It blinks.  Oh.  Right.  It hovers up a bit, and begins fishing around up there.
dragomorph: More cracks.
HurricaneChris04: Ky raises his free hand into the air.
bengalisonata: "See anything yet?" Jaime hasn't *quite* realized it yet, but he's kind of hovering too.
greenmorningstar: Yuta shakes with the effort of keeping the isolation in place. He can't last much longer...
dragomorph: It takes a bit, but it finally flutters down to Jaime -- although less down to Jaime than it expected.  it has a whole bunch of Anemoi, and... a key?
bengalisonata: Huh, that was unexpected. "Thanks," Jaime gratefully smiles before floating back towards Yuta and Ky. "Hey, guys! I think we're done!"
dragomorph: Shatter.
HurricaneChris04: Ky doesn't miss a beat. His free hand traces a circle in the air, forming a massive arrowhead made of concentrated lightning. Then, with a stab of his sword, he sends it flying at the monster.
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "SACRED EDGE!"
greenmorningstar: Yuta does his best not to keel over right then and there, instead gesturing to Jaime and the moogle. "Hurry, it's coming!"
dragomorph: It jiggles in a horrifying fashion at the contact, little pseudopods waving about.  It seems pained, but again, the damage seems minimal.
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "Now's our chance! Let's get out of here!"
bengalisonata: Jaime nods, flying-  oh whoa, when did he get huge ridiculous beetle-like wings - back towards the door. "Agreed!"
HurricaneChris04: And he runs.
greenmorningstar: Yuta takes off running, though he keeps looking back - partially to check to make sure Jaime's still got his backpack buddy and partially because what the wings.
dragomorph: The moogle holds onto both its bounty and to Jaime.  "Kupooo!"
dragomorph: As you exit the hallway, you see one of the creatures turning the corner to your right!
bengalisonata: Is there a way to turn left? Even with huge ridiculous wings, Jaime's not going to bother to fly over it.
dragomorph: Left is open go go go
bengalisonata: GOING LEFT IT IS
HurricaneChris04: Yeah, going left.
greenmorningstar: Yuta RUNS LIKE HELL TO THE LEFT.
dragomorph: It's chasing!  But you're near the stairs!
HurricaneChris04: Ky hits the stairs and starts taking them two at a time.
greenmorningstar: Yuta does much the same.
bengalisonata: Jaime's got wings. He's not even bothering with those stairs.
dragomorph: Up the stairs, you realize two things:
dragomorph: 1.)  The reason that key was there is that somehow the front doors got locked.
dragomorph: and 2.) The OTHER Oni is by the friggin' statue oh for Christs sake.
greenmorningstar: Yuta actually freezes up for a second here. Oh god, what do.
HurricaneChris04: Ky: "GET THAT DAMN DOOR!"
dragomorph: The moogle shoves the key into Jaime's hand!
bengalisonata: "Got it!" Jaime's flying for that door as fast as he possibly can. Which is impressive, considering his wings are much bigger than he is
dragomorph: They're getting closer!
greenmorningstar: Yuta takes to running again. "Hurry up!" We don't have much time!"
bengalisonata: Jaime screeches to a halt in front of the door and attempts to unlock the door as quickly as possible.
dragomorph: Come on, get that key in, man, what are you a -- oh hey, click.
bengalisonata: OH THANK GOD. OPENING THOSE DOORS NOW.
greenmorningstar: OH THANK GOD, YUTA'S STILL RUNNING FOR THEM.
HurricaneChris04: And out the doors Ky goes!
greenmorningstar: Goaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal!
dragomorph: As you leave, the creatures seem to pursue.  For a while, anyway.  But far enough away and they just stop.  And watch for a bit.  And then... retreat back into the temple.
HurricaneChris04: Once that happens, Ky slows to a walk. "Phew...we're safe from them."
dragomorph: The moogle watches them go back for a bit.  It seems to be eying the one with a puffball.  "Ku...kupo."  It sniffs.
greenmorningstar: Yuta... basically collapses into a wobbly pile of ten year old. He's too busy catching his breath to talk, not that he really seems to be in any state for conversation anyway.
bengalisonata: Jaime kneels over, placing his hands on his knees as he catches his breath. "Thank god." He's not sure it was worth all the Anemoi, but... "what WAS that, anyways?"
greenmorningstar: Yuta gulps. "Don't know. Don't wanna know." He looks wearily to the moogle. He's okay, isn't he?
dragomorph: The moogle puts the anemoi on the ground.  (There's quite a bit; maybe 3% for everybody.)  And then... it cries.
greenmorningstar: Oh... oh no. Yuta summons the strength to scoot himself towards the moogle and awkwardly pats it on the head, under the pompom.
dragomorph: It wipes its eyes.  Boo hoo...
bengalisonata: The poor thing. Jaime kneels down, his wings having disappeared in the meantime, and offers a sympathetic smile. "... It's gonna be alright." He hopes.
greenmorningstar: "Y-yeah... You can even stay with me if you want! But..." he glances back to the temple, grimacing. "I... don't think we can do anything for him anymore..."
dragomorph: The moogle huddles up with Yuta.  Waaah.
greenmorningstar: He'll stay there and hold onto it until he's gained enough strength back to make the trip to his room.
