  1. [3/10/2015 4:25:35 PM] *** Adaryian Alexander would like to add you on Skype
  2.
  3. Hi Lorenzo Walz, I'd like to add you as a contact. ***
  4. [3/10/2015 6:04:57 PM] *** Lorenzo Walz has shared contact details with Adaryian Alexander. ***
  5. [3/10/2015 6:26:14 PM] Adaryian Alexander: hello!
  6. [3/10/2015 9:53:22 PM] Lorenzo Walz: hey! still around
  7. [3/10/2015 9:53:28 PM] Adaryian Alexander: yep!
  8. [3/10/2015 9:53:43 PM] Lorenzo Walz: So, hows it going?
  9. [3/10/2015 9:54:19 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Not too bad, how about you?
  10. [3/10/2015 9:54:38 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Doing alright. Was at work then had a late dinner.
  11. [3/10/2015 9:54:52 PM] Lorenzo Walz: You wanted work for that altcoin, right?
  12. [3/10/2015 9:55:31 PM] Adaryian Alexander: yes that would be correct!
  13. [3/10/2015 9:55:50 PM] Adaryian Alexander: its on an out of date satoshi client.. 0.8.6 lol
  14. [3/10/2015 9:56:00 PM] Adaryian Alexander: and the splash screen sucks
  15. [3/10/2015 9:56:43 PM] Lorenzo Walz: alright. so just some heads up that the variable that you see (the 0.8.6) is just a number. doesnt matter too much
  16. [3/10/2015 9:56:52 PM] Lorenzo Walz: it just helps keep updates seperate
  17. [3/10/2015 9:56:59 PM] Lorenzo Walz: but as for the splash screen, that's super easy
  18. [3/10/2015 9:58:00 PM] Adaryian Alexander: well im just curious as to how much updating difference there is between the 0.8.6 and the current in terms of security issues and such.
  19. [3/10/2015 9:59:09 PM] Adaryian Alexander: The biggest thing right now is the looks of it. Having a more "user friendly" look to it is an important thing. People are seeing the Coingen.io splash screen and though they delivered and I'll use this loosely.. a working coin, they didnt deliver to what I had expected or wanted.
  20. [3/10/2015 9:59:16 PM] Lorenzo Walz: can you link me?
  21. [3/10/2015 9:59:28 PM] Adaryian Alexander: coingen isn't around any longer
  22. [3/10/2015 9:59:35 PM] Lorenzo Walz: nono
  23. [3/10/2015 9:59:39 PM] Lorenzo Walz: link me to github
  24. [3/10/2015 9:59:40 PM] Lorenzo Walz: the source
  25. [3/10/2015 9:59:49 PM] Adaryian Alexander: https://github.com/Adaryian/E-Currency
  26. [3/10/2015 10:00:18 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I'll get it running and take a quick look
  27. [3/10/2015 10:00:27 PM] Adaryian Alexander: sure
  28. [3/10/2015 10:01:09 PM] Lorenzo Walz: RCC: Error in 'src/qt/bitcoin.qrc': Cannot find file 'res/images/splash.png'
  29. RCC: Error in 'src/qt/bitcoin.qrc': Cannot find file 'res/images/splash_testnet.png'
  30. [3/10/2015 10:01:13 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Bleh
  31. [3/10/2015 10:01:28 PM] Adaryian Alexander: gui on nix?
  32. [3/10/2015 10:01:31 PM] Adaryian Alexander: or windows?
  33. [3/10/2015 10:01:37 PM] Lorenzo Walz: nix
  34. [3/10/2015 10:01:45 PM] Adaryian Alexander: yeah i had people have that issue in the past
  35. [3/10/2015 10:01:55 PM] Adaryian Alexander: then it just worked after cloning it
  36. [3/10/2015 10:02:06 PM] Adaryian Alexander: which is why i want to fix that! lol
  37. [3/10/2015 10:02:23 PM] Lorenzo Walz: you have pictures you have in mind?
  38. [3/10/2015 10:02:36 PM] Adaryian Alexander: somewhat, yes.
  39. [3/10/2015 10:03:51 PM] Lorenzo Walz: let's see it
  40. [3/10/2015 10:04:38 PM] Adaryian Alexander: https://i.imgur.com/KwPA40h.png for a possible Splash Screen -- could be without the "- CURRENCY" portion and just be the E
  41. [3/10/2015 10:05:03 PM] Adaryian Alexander: i'd like to make the symbol be the E and the circuitry behind it
  42. [3/10/2015 10:05:20 PM] Lorenzo Walz: alright
  43. [3/10/2015 10:05:26 PM] Lorenzo Walz: let me run it and get you some screens
  44. [3/10/2015 10:05:31 PM] Adaryian Alexander: sure
  45. [3/10/2015 10:08:34 PM] Lorenzo Walz: alright, I threw in a new picture
  46. [3/10/2015 10:08:36 PM] Lorenzo Walz: what else?
  47. [3/10/2015 10:08:51 PM] Lorenzo Walz: (it doesn't line up quite right, because the sizes are different, but it's a start)
  48. [3/10/2015 10:08:52 PM] Adaryian Alexander: So the splash screen and the icon that would be in a system tray are now updated?
  49. [3/10/2015 10:09:33 PM] Lorenzo Walz: let me change that second one
  50. [3/10/2015 10:10:11 PM] Adaryian Alexander: sure.. the next part is the block spacing. "main.cpp:static const int64 nTargetSpacing = 10 * 60;" where it should be every 3 minutes.
  51. [3/10/2015 10:10:30 PM] Adaryian Alexander: to quote rav3n_pl
  52. [3/10/2015 10:12:47 PM] Adaryian Alexander: and the default port is 8080 for listening ports, which could be an issue that wasn't really thought of originally. I understand that you can always change the configuration to be port=8081 for example.. but for the sake of new people to the coin, perhaps the port should be changed to 8078 since 8079 is the rpc port.
  53. [3/10/2015 10:13:04 PM] Lorenzo Walz: that's easy enough
  54. [3/10/2015 10:13:38 PM] Adaryian Alexander: yeah most of this is probably really all very easy to fix, i just lack the programming know how to modify it correctly. I'm more of a network guy. lol
  55. [3/10/2015 10:13:46 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I understand
  56. [3/10/2015 10:13:55 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Are you planning to start the coin from scratch?
  57. [3/10/2015 10:14:05 PM] Lorenzo Walz: As in, remine the genesis block?
  58. [3/10/2015 10:14:09 PM] Lorenzo Walz: or are you going to fork?
  59. [3/10/2015 10:14:22 PM] Adaryian Alexander: no, i'd like to continue it on just fork it... since the userbase is still immature right now
  60. [3/10/2015 10:14:48 PM] Lorenzo Walz: hmmm.
  61. [3/10/2015 10:14:54 PM] Adaryian Alexander: so it's not such a big deal as if it were a larger coin. would like to stomp the problems out before it grows larger.
  62. [3/10/2015 10:15:08 PM] Lorenzo Walz: if you want to do a hardfork (change of block times) I'll be honest and tell you that it gets really difficult.
  63. [3/10/2015 10:15:29 PM] Lorenzo Walz: but it can be easy enough; just set it to ignore older clients after a certain point and be done
  64. [3/10/2015 10:15:43 PM] Lorenzo Walz: so up to block ##### allow old clients, and afterwards disconnect anyone newer
  65. [3/10/2015 10:15:45 PM] Lorenzo Walz: *older
  66. [3/10/2015 10:16:00 PM] Adaryian Alexander: possible to set it for 2016 blocks?
  67. [3/10/2015 10:16:10 PM] Lorenzo Walz: sure
  68. [3/10/2015 10:16:13 PM] Adaryian Alexander: that would be about a week at this point of mining
  69. [3/10/2015 10:16:25 PM] Lorenzo Walz: if you dont want it to happen for another 2016 blocks you just hardcode in "on block 2016...."
  70. [3/10/2015 10:16:28 PM] Adaryian Alexander: and being that there are 10~ active nodes and most of them pay attention to whats going on.
  71. [3/10/2015 10:16:40 PM] Adaryian Alexander: no no not for another 2016 blocks
  72. [3/10/2015 10:16:40 PM] Lorenzo Walz: they would need to upgrade
  73. [3/10/2015 10:16:43 PM] Adaryian Alexander: sooo lets say...
  74. [3/10/2015 10:16:57 PM] Adaryian Alexander: make it 31,000 even
  75. [3/10/2015 10:17:06 PM] Adaryian Alexander: that makes it almost 2850 blocks
  76. [3/10/2015 10:17:29 PM] Adaryian Alexander: err wait.. umm difficulty changes... :
  77. [3/10/2015 10:17:41 PM] Adaryian Alexander: 30240
  78. [3/10/2015 10:18:25 PM] Adaryian Alexander: so ignore after block 30240
  79. [3/10/2015 10:19:47 PM] Lorenzo Walz: yeah, that's doable
  80. [3/10/2015 10:20:22 PM] Lorenzo Walz: if (pfrom->nVersion == 70005)
  81. + {
  82. + // disconnect from peers older than this proto version
  83. + printf("partner %s using obsolete version %i; disconnecting\n", pfrom->addr.ToString().c_str(), pfrom->nVersion);
  84. + pfrom->fDisconnect = true;
  85. + return false;
  86. + }
  87. +
  88. [3/10/2015 10:20:28 PM] Adaryian Alexander: If you want to remain on as a developer for the coin, i could add you as a contributor for ecurrency so you can just github it directly on there
  89. [3/10/2015 10:21:07 PM] Lorenzo Walz: you mentioned paying in ISO, is that whatever this coin is?
  90. [3/10/2015 10:21:12 PM] Adaryian Alexander: yes
  91. [3/10/2015 10:24:14 PM] Adaryian Alexander: will you be on in about 15 minutes? wife needs me to help with a few things
  92. [3/10/2015 10:24:32 PM] Lorenzo Walz: sure
  93. [3/10/2015 10:24:37 PM] Adaryian Alexander: thanks.. ill brb
  94. [3/10/2015 10:47:23 PM] Adaryian Alexander: alright im back sorry for that
  95. [3/10/2015 10:47:49 PM] Lorenzo Walz: np
  96. [3/10/2015 10:48:15 PM] Adaryian Alexander: how is everything coming along?
  97. [3/10/2015 10:48:46 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I haven't kept working. I wasn't sure what you had planned atm
  98. [3/10/2015 10:50:21 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Well let's see, splash screen change, system tray icon change which im guessing will change the logo of the entire program even when open, which is quite fine if so....
  99. [3/10/2015 10:50:31 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Changing the block spacing, the port..
  100. [3/10/2015 10:50:55 PM] Adaryian Alexander: is it possible to see when the halving will be?
  101. [3/10/2015 10:51:16 PM] Lorenzo Walz: you define the halving
  102. [3/10/2015 10:51:54 PM] Lorenzo Walz: int64 static GetBlockValue(int nHeight, int64 nFees)
  103. {
  104. int64 nSubsidy = 100 * COIN;
  105.
  106. // Subsidy is cut in half every 420000 blocks, which will occur approximately every 4 years
  107. nSubsidy >>= (nHeight / 420000);
  108.
  109. return nSubsidy + nFees;
  110. }
  111. [3/10/2015 10:52:12 PM] Adaryian Alexander: yup that sounds right
  112. [3/10/2015 10:52:19 PM] Adaryian Alexander: but
  113. [3/10/2015 10:52:50 PM] Adaryian Alexander: im starting to question the halving rate being approximately every 4 years but that i suppose is based on 10 minutes and not 3 as well
  114. [3/10/2015 10:52:59 PM] Lorenzo Walz: correct
  115. [3/10/2015 10:53:07 PM] Adaryian Alexander: okay so that would be slightly over a year
  116. [3/10/2015 10:54:10 PM] Adaryian Alexander: so yeah that sounds good.
  117. [3/10/2015 10:55:54 PM] Adaryian Alexander: i believe really all that's it... unless there is a reason to update the client on other aspects such as security or difficulty changes.. i just don't want it to go from being a steady difficulty increase to a super high one if whales jump in
  118. [3/10/2015 10:56:03 PM] Adaryian Alexander: im not sure what algorithm they used
  119. [3/10/2015 10:59:59 PM] Adaryian Alexander: oh i know another thing!!
  120. [3/10/2015 11:00:53 PM] Adaryian Alexander: getmininginfo and gethashespersec both say 0
  121. [3/10/2015 11:01:04 PM] Adaryian Alexander: is there anyway of figuring out the correct global hashing rate?
  122. [3/10/2015 11:08:04 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Would you like me to add you as a collaborator for the project?
  123. [3/10/2015 11:08:17 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Please do.
  124. [3/10/2015 11:08:22 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I'll look over your getmininginfo now
  125. [3/10/2015 11:08:31 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Quick question
  126. [3/10/2015 11:08:40 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Sure thing... what is your username on github?
  127. [3/10/2015 11:08:44 PM] Lorenzo Walz: when you said it says 0, is that for the current code?
  128. [3/10/2015 11:08:46 PM] Lorenzo Walz: same name as here
  129. [3/10/2015 11:09:03 PM] Adaryian Alexander: correct for the current code it has always said 0
  130. [3/10/2015 11:09:24 PM] Lorenzo Walz: there aren't any nodes? It still has the old genesis block so it's trying to use the old network
  131. [3/10/2015 11:09:29 PM] Lorenzo Walz: so how could there be any hashing?
  132. [3/10/2015 11:10:09 PM] Adaryian Alexander: there is hashing.. http://blockexperts.com/iso
  133. [3/10/2015 11:10:44 PM] Adaryian Alexander: ./ecurrencyd getmininginfo

  148. [3/10/2015 11:17:57 PM] Adaryian Alexander: for a pool?
  149. [3/10/2015 11:18:15 PM] Lorenzo Walz: for the wallet. it doesn't connect automatically (you don't have any seed DNS
  150. [3/10/2015 11:18:17 PM] Adaryian Alexander: 198.8.60.101 is one server of mine
  151. [3/10/2015 11:18:24 PM] Adaryian Alexander: ah
  152. [3/10/2015 11:18:42 PM] Adaryian Alexander: i have a few i can give you

  157. [3/10/2015 11:19:28 PM] Adaryian Alexander: okay

  174. [3/10/2015 11:29:09 PM] Lorenzo Walz: used some old code I wrote, added in the networkpart
  175. [3/10/2015 11:29:29 PM] Adaryian Alexander: ah lol was like wtf?! i've tried that on so many already haha
  176. [3/10/2015 11:35:13 PM] Lorenzo Walz: pushed to repo
  177. [3/10/2015 11:35:25 PM] Lorenzo Walz: feel free to look at any and all changes - and of course you can revert a commit
  178. [3/10/2015 11:37:31 PM] Lorenzo Walz: ultimately you have to add more code so that the different options can be shown on the GUI
  179. [3/10/2015 11:37:39 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I could also do some math to convert that to TH/s, etc
  180. [3/10/2015 11:38:23 PM] Adaryian Alexander: i dont need it to be shown in the GUI just wanted the command to be shown, so that the block explorer and anyone else who wants to show the global hash rate has the ability to.
  181. [3/10/2015 11:38:31 PM] Adaryian Alexander: its not something i need shown to users..
  182. [3/10/2015 11:38:41 PM] Adaryian Alexander: just so they have access to it..
  183. [3/10/2015 11:39:05 PM] Adaryian Alexander: and no need to convert to TH/s most people who need it can parse the data into correct format for the website
  184. [3/10/2015 11:39:36 PM] Adaryian Alexander: i see the image updates was there anything else? if so im not seeing it
  185. [3/10/2015 11:39:53 PM] Lorenzo Walz: https://github.com/Adaryian/E-Currency/commit/52634926ffbf56ee7c4292b7c0c2dd9978464d75
  186. [3/10/2015 11:39:56 PM] Lorenzo Walz: scroll to the bottom?
  187. [3/10/2015 11:41:57 PM] Adaryian Alexander: okay so right now its the icons, images and the networkhashpersec updates
  188. [3/10/2015 11:42:08 PM] Lorenzo Walz: yes
  189. [3/10/2015 11:42:10 PM] Lorenzo Walz: that's all I've done
  190. [3/10/2015 11:42:14 PM] Adaryian Alexander: cool
  191. [3/10/2015 11:44:35 PM] Adaryian Alexander: how much work is involved with changing the 10 minutes to 3 minutes along with changing the listen port to something other than 8080 and setting the hardfork so that the new client will forget the old clients data after block #32256 ?
  192. [3/10/2015 11:47:17 PM] Lorenzo Walz: its a few hours of my time
  193. [3/10/2015 11:47:51 PM] Adaryian Alexander: alright.. being that we don't know a value of ISO quite yet, what would you consider fair for the value of your time?
  194. [3/10/2015 11:48:16 PM] Adaryian Alexander: ive been mining with about 500~ GH/s for 8 days and have...139k ISO
  195. [3/10/2015 11:50:18 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I'm not sure.
  196. [3/10/2015 11:50:39 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I'll get back to you tomorrow after work - it shouldn't take too long for me to do this once I can actually sit down and work.
  197. [3/10/2015 11:51:26 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Alright, sounds good. We'll for now leave it open on the block # it will change on until we know when the hardfork will be done and all.
  198. [3/10/2015 11:51:55 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Are you able to compile a Windows executable for this as well by any chance?
  199. [3/10/2015 11:54:47 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I can't, but I know someone who could.
  200. [3/10/2015 11:55:30 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Would they be willing to do it for a share of ISO as well and are they a trustworthy member of BitcoinTalk?
  201. [3/10/2015 11:55:42 PM] Lorenzo Walz: yes to the second, no idea to the first
  202. [3/10/2015 11:55:45 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I'll ask though.
  203. [3/10/2015 11:55:51 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Sure no problem
  204. [3/11/2015 12:01:53 AM] Adaryian Alexander: What time would you expect you'd probably be able to work on all of this? (Just so I can keep everyone up to date on the work that is taking place..)
  205. [3/11/2015 12:02:15 AM] Lorenzo Walz: 6 PM EST
  206. [3/11/2015 12:02:26 AM] Adaryian Alexander: tomorrow?
  207. [3/11/2015 12:02:37 AM] Lorenzo Walz: yes
  208. [3/11/2015 12:04:07 AM] Adaryian Alexander: Perfect. Be sure to give it some thought on the ISO. I don't want to make you feel low balled on an offer for your work, as it's much appreciated, but I don't want to feel over extended with offering you too much and not have any set aside for future projects with this currency. I'm using the only miner I have to mine it at the moment to try and bring others on board.
  209. [3/11/2015 12:05:29 AM] Lorenzo Walz: Side note
  210. [3/11/2015 12:05:33 AM] Lorenzo Walz: what miner do you have?
  211. [3/11/2015 12:05:37 AM] Adaryian Alexander: S3
  212. [3/11/2015 12:05:56 AM] Lorenzo Walz: any interest in selling it?
  213. [3/11/2015 12:06:08 AM] Lorenzo Walz: getting an S2 soon, would like to add to the collection.
  214. [3/11/2015 12:06:20 AM] Adaryian Alexander: perhaps.. I actually have a broken one that needs RMA'd
  215. [3/11/2015 12:06:32 AM] Adaryian Alexander: i had 2, but now i have just this one.
  216. [3/11/2015 12:06:39 AM] Adaryian Alexander: i have 2 S3
  217. [3/11/2015 12:06:41 AM] Adaryian Alexander: err
  218. [3/11/2015 12:06:43 AM] Adaryian Alexander: S2's as well.
  219. [3/11/2015 12:06:44 AM] Adaryian Alexander: working
  220. [3/11/2015 12:06:57 AM] Adaryian Alexander: wait, no s1
  221. [3/11/2015 12:07:00 AM] Adaryian Alexander: sorry lol
  222. [3/11/2015 12:08:58 AM] Lorenzo Walz: Well, that was confusing
  223. [3/11/2015 12:08:59 AM] Lorenzo Walz: lol
  224. [3/11/2015 12:09:07 AM] Adaryian Alexander: yeah im super tired lol
  225. [3/11/2015 12:09:10 AM] Lorenzo Walz: no worries
  226. [3/11/2015 12:09:15 AM] Lorenzo Walz: I'm logging off soon
  227. [3/11/2015 12:09:32 AM] Adaryian Alexander: right on, well i most certainly will be on at 6pm tomorrow!
  228. [3/11/2015 12:09:43 AM] Lorenzo Walz: okay
  229. [3/11/2015 12:09:49 AM] Lorenzo Walz: have a good one
  230. [3/11/2015 12:09:56 AM] Adaryian Alexander: you too man, and thanks for the help!

  236. [3/11/2015 5:32:41 PM] Adaryian Alexander: hello :)
  237. [3/11/2015 6:23:19 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Hey, just got back
  238. [3/11/2015 6:23:23 PM] Lorenzo Walz: how's it going?
  239. [3/11/2015 6:23:45 PM] Adaryian Alexander: no problem. not too bad.. ready to do some programming?! :)
  240. [3/11/2015 6:25:02 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I'll be honest and tell you I don't think I'm ready to work for free again. I did so recently on a coin that launched successfully, etc, but I was burned by it.
  241. [3/11/2015 6:25:20 PM] Adaryian Alexander: I can give you ISO upfront
  242. [3/11/2015 6:25:22 PM] Lorenzo Walz: And I'm not trying to back out last minute and screw you, etc.
  243. [3/11/2015 6:25:47 PM] Adaryian Alexander: I would just like to make it publicly known that you're working for X amount of ISO
  244. [3/11/2015 6:25:48 PM] Adaryian Alexander: etc.
  245. [3/11/2015 6:25:52 PM] Adaryian Alexander: I understand your position
  246. [3/11/2015 6:26:32 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Do you know anything about getting your coin listed?
  247. [3/11/2015 6:26:43 PM] Adaryian Alexander: it is listed on an exchange right now.
  248. [3/11/2015 6:26:57 PM] Lorenzo Walz: ah.
  249. [3/11/2015 6:27:07 PM] Adaryian Alexander: ~~~~~~DELETED FOR PROPRIETARY INFORMATION~~~~~~~
  250. [3/11/2015 6:27:18 PM] Adaryian Alexander: They're interested.. just waiting to see how it does.
  251. [3/11/2015 6:27:26 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I hear you.
  252. [3/11/2015 6:27:33 PM] Lorenzo Walz: How much funding do you have?
  253. [3/11/2015 6:28:03 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Well I have my personal amount of ISO and I'm currently sitting at.....141k~
  254. [3/11/2015 6:28:18 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Can you link me to that exchange?
  255. [3/11/2015 6:28:22 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Sure
  256. [3/11/2015 6:28:34 PM] Adaryian Alexander: https://alcurex.org/index.php/crypto/market?pair=ISO_BTC
  257. [3/11/2015 6:28:57 PM] Adaryian Alexander: It was just listed yesterday.
  258. [3/11/2015 6:29:45 PM] Lorenzo Walz: 38 BTC in sell orders though.
  259. [3/11/2015 6:30:02 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Hmm.
  260. [3/11/2015 6:30:02 PM] Adaryian Alexander: yeah, it's from Cryptocollector
  261. [3/11/2015 6:30:12 PM] Adaryian Alexander: he doesn't want the market to undercut itself
  262. [3/11/2015 6:30:26 PM] Adaryian Alexander: so most of its at 5000
  263. [3/11/2015 6:30:29 PM] Adaryian Alexander: or above
  264. [3/11/2015 6:32:15 PM] Adaryian Alexander: or doesn't want the bottom to drop out before there is really any idea of what the coin is worth
  265. [3/11/2015 6:32:17 PM] Adaryian Alexander: etc..
  266. [3/11/2015 6:32:55 PM] Adaryian Alexander: BTW he is just another miner. He had PM'd me on that subject. I have nothing to do with any market manipulation.. I don't even have any ISO on there.
  267. [3/11/2015 6:35:03 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Alright.
  268. [3/11/2015 6:35:05 PM] Lorenzo Walz: How's this
  269. [3/11/2015 6:36:04 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Make issues on Github for what you want done so I have an actual detailed list.
  270. [3/11/2015 6:37:09 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Let me see if I can find that information. Again I'm not a programmer.. However. I did make a post on what would be changed, if that would be of any help?
  271. [3/11/2015 6:37:19 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Link me to it.
  272. [3/11/2015 6:37:25 PM] Adaryian Alexander: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=647254.msg10738334#msg10738334
  273. [3/11/2015 6:38:47 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I see you also showed off my fix
  274. [3/11/2015 6:38:54 PM] Adaryian Alexander: indeed!
  275. [3/11/2015 6:41:03 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Okay.
  276. [3/11/2015 6:41:13 PM] Lorenzo Walz: So I've already done the getmininginfo/gethashespersec
  277. [3/11/2015 6:41:24 PM] Lorenzo Walz: You need to get the icons you want/need
  278. [3/11/2015 6:41:25 PM] Adaryian Alexander: and the images
  279. [3/11/2015 6:41:43 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Mine are just placeholders.
  280. [3/11/2015 6:41:43 PM] Adaryian Alexander: i thought the splash screen was taken care of already along with the icon?
  281. [3/11/2015 6:41:45 PM] Adaryian Alexander: ah
  282. [3/11/2015 6:41:47 PM] Adaryian Alexander: okay
  283. [3/11/2015 6:41:54 PM] Adaryian Alexander: i can get that.
  284. [3/11/2015 6:43:04 PM] Adaryian Alexander: I would just like to know how much you'd like upfront and we put a post in the forums that you'll be developing the new hardfork for the client for X amount and then I can show the transaction happened... etc.. so you could get to work and I can get to work on the icon and the image for the splash screen.
  285. [3/11/2015 6:43:49 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Pay me according to what you want based on what I'll do.
  286. [3/11/2015 6:43:57 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I'll work along and you just decide.
  287. [3/11/2015 6:44:10 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I'm fine with that, and can post that publicly if I ned to.
  288. [3/11/2015 6:44:13 PM] Lorenzo Walz: *need
  289. [3/11/2015 6:44:24 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Well for transparency I think it's a good idea.
  290. [3/11/2015 6:44:45 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Plus we both will get rep for doing so.
  291. [3/11/2015 6:45:33 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Sure.
  292. [3/11/2015 6:50:49 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Posted.
  293. [3/11/2015 6:50:54 PM] Lorenzo Walz: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=647254.msg10743292#msg10743292
  294. [3/11/2015 6:52:16 PM] Adaryian Alexander: What would your ISO address be?
  295. [3/11/2015 6:52:27 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Haven't installed the client.
  296. [3/11/2015 6:52:55 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Okay.. Possible to modify the post to state that it will be in exchange for ISO?
  297. [3/11/2015 6:53:08 PM] Adaryian Alexander: http://blockexperts.com/iso/address/1Mj6oUNw2szaqnz4GZpnwZKD7AxZRn9XH4
  298. [3/11/2015 6:53:10 PM] Adaryian Alexander: is the reason why
  299. [3/11/2015 6:53:14 PM] Adaryian Alexander: People know my address lol
  300. [3/11/2015 6:53:24 PM] Adaryian Alexander: so if they see me "dumping" they know what it's for.
  301. [3/11/2015 6:55:03 PM] Lorenzo Walz: sure.
  302. [3/11/2015 6:55:15 PM] Lorenzo Walz: 1CFCVBWN8vtThuzmRBA9JyR1bZ6XFFAhnD
  303. [3/11/2015 6:55:19 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Sorry, i'm very transparent on what I do.
  304. [3/11/2015 6:55:36 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Do you want addresses to continue being addresses starting with a 1?
  305. [3/11/2015 6:56:14 PM] Adaryian Alexander: They don't have to be. Could it somehow begin with iso or something like that?
  306. [3/11/2015 6:56:23 PM] Adaryian Alexander: ISOXXXXXXXXXXXXX etc..
  307. [3/11/2015 6:56:39 PM] Lorenzo Walz: no three letters, I would have to edit the entire way transactions are handled for that
  308. [3/11/2015 6:56:42 PM] Lorenzo Walz: but an I, yes
  309. [3/11/2015 6:56:51 PM] Adaryian Alexander: that works
  310. [3/11/2015 6:57:05 PM] Lorenzo Walz: What do you want first? That fix or the port fix?
  311. [3/11/2015 6:57:13 PM] Adaryian Alexander: the I
  312. [3/11/2015 6:57:26 PM] Adaryian Alexander: port fix is the least important, but is something that needs to be done.
  313. [3/11/2015 7:07:35 PM] Adaryian Alexander: I sent 3k so far with the going sell rates it's about $45 USD. Obviously this could flucuate. But I think it's a good start for the work you did yesterday for updating the fix for the hashespersec
  314. [3/11/2015 7:08:05 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Then once the next one is done just let me know
  315. [3/11/2015 7:09:40 PM] Lorenzo Walz: So I can't start the address with an uppercase I, I should have thought of that
  316. [3/11/2015 7:09:55 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Base58 encoding prevents that, because it is too similar to other values found in a cryptocoin address.
  317. [3/11/2015 7:09:55 PM] Adaryian Alexander: e then?
  318. [3/11/2015 7:10:03 PM] Adaryian Alexander: or i
  319. [3/11/2015 7:10:07 PM] Adaryian Alexander: either is fine really
  320. [3/11/2015 7:10:15 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I can do uppercase/lowercase E, or lowercase i.
  321. [3/11/2015 7:10:18 PM] Lorenzo Walz: whatever you prefer
  322. [3/11/2015 7:10:24 PM] Adaryian Alexander: E then
  323. [3/11/2015 7:11:43 PM] Lorenzo Walz: compiling.

  329. [3/11/2015 7:21:30 PM] Adaryian Alexander: are you pushing it to github after each successful compile?
  330. [3/11/2015 7:21:36 PM] Lorenzo Walz: no
  331. [3/11/2015 7:21:39 PM] Adaryian Alexander: okay
  332. [3/11/2015 7:21:41 PM] Lorenzo Walz: that would be idiotic
  333. [3/11/2015 7:21:44 PM] Adaryian Alexander: yeah
  334. [3/11/2015 7:22:25 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I'll also be adding a test branch to your source soon
  335. [3/11/2015 7:22:27 PM] Lorenzo Walz: no idea why there isn't one.
  336. [3/11/2015 7:22:48 PM] Adaryian Alexander: because it wasn't given to me..
  337. [3/11/2015 7:22:49 PM] Adaryian Alexander: lol
  338. [3/11/2015 7:23:44 PM] Adaryian Alexander: the test folder should be in the src folder though
  339. [3/11/2015 7:23:56 PM] Lorenzo Walz: that's not how branches work
  340. [3/11/2015 7:24:02 PM] Lorenzo Walz: it will be its own full repository.
  341. [3/11/2015 7:24:07 PM] Adaryian Alexander: okay
  342. [3/11/2015 7:24:12 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I will have a branch that can be worked on, which can be merged.
  343. [3/11/2015 7:24:18 PM] Lorenzo Walz: here is an address I just generate
  344. [3/11/2015 7:24:20 PM] Lorenzo Walz: *d
  345. [3/11/2015 7:24:21 PM] Lorenzo Walz: EVFFN2Bq2dsHPVRUZJ3gCs6dHXNuet1Hmi
  346. [3/11/2015 7:24:22 PM] Adaryian Alexander: i want things done right.. again not a programmer lol
  347. [3/11/2015 7:24:29 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Happy with the E?
  348. [3/11/2015 7:24:29 PM] Adaryian Alexander: awesome
  349. [3/11/2015 7:24:33 PM] Adaryian Alexander: yup
  350. [3/11/2015 7:24:36 PM] Lorenzo Walz: k
  351. [3/11/2015 7:24:44 PM] Lorenzo Walz: do me a favor
  352. [3/11/2015 7:24:46 PM] Adaryian Alexander: sure
  353. [3/11/2015 7:24:48 PM] Lorenzo Walz: that 3k hasn't confirmed
  354. [3/11/2015 7:25:01 PM] Adaryian Alexander: i know.. waiting for a block to be found
  355. [3/11/2015 7:25:03 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I want to see what happens when you attempt to send 1 ISO to that address.
  356. [3/11/2015 7:25:09 PM] Lorenzo Walz: the one I posted just now, with an E
  357. [3/11/2015 7:25:20 PM] Adaryian Alexander: sure
  358. [3/11/2015 7:25:43 PM] Adaryian Alexander: invalid on this client
  359. [3/11/2015 7:25:56 PM] Lorenzo Walz: good.
  360. [3/11/2015 7:26:01 PM] Lorenzo Walz: that's what it should have done.

  391. [3/11/2015 7:30:28 PM] Adaryian Alexander: did you happen to find out if the guy that you know would compile a windows executable in exchange for ISO once everything is done?
  392. [3/11/2015 7:30:37 PM] Lorenzo Walz: No, he hasn't been on.
  393. [3/11/2015 7:30:40 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Okay
  394. [3/11/2015 7:30:42 PM] Lorenzo Walz: My work schedule has been off.

  397. [3/11/2015 7:36:15 PM] Adaryian Alexander: icon should be 128x128 pixels i presume?
  398. [3/11/2015 7:37:43 PM] Lorenzo Walz: check a different coins repo
  399. [3/11/2015 7:37:48 PM] Adaryian Alexander: tru
  400. [3/11/2015 7:37:48 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Never been much of a gui person, honestly.
  401. [3/11/2015 7:45:35 PM] Adaryian Alexander: alright i have a person doing the GFX in a few minutes. He just got off work himself, so when he gets out of a shower he's going to do the icon and splash screen.
  402. [3/11/2015 7:46:13 PM] Lorenzo Walz: okay
  403. [3/11/2015 7:46:17 PM] Lorenzo Walz: just pass them to me once you can
  404. [3/11/2015 7:46:21 PM] Adaryian Alexander: sure thing
  405. [3/11/2015 7:46:44 PM] Lorenzo Walz: actually, I've made a test branch
  406. [3/11/2015 7:46:48 PM] Lorenzo Walz: feel free to just upload them.
  407. [3/11/2015 7:46:55 PM] Adaryian Alexander: okay
  408. [3/11/2015 7:57:31 PM] Lorenzo Walz: So you want to change the time to what?
  409. [3/11/2015 7:57:33 PM] Lorenzo Walz: blocktime.
  410. [3/11/2015 7:57:44 PM] Adaryian Alexander: 3 minutes instead of 10 minutes.
  411. [3/11/2015 7:59:52 PM] Lorenzo Walz: alright
  412. [3/11/2015 8:00:02 PM] Lorenzo Walz: and you want that to take place at what point?
  413. [3/11/2015 8:00:15 PM] Adaryian Alexander: one sec
  414. [3/11/2015 8:00:49 PM] Lorenzo Walz: sure

  417. [3/11/2015 8:01:29 PM] Adaryian Alexander: should be plenty of time
  418. [3/11/2015 8:07:31 PM] Lorenzo Walz: sure
  419. [3/11/2015 8:07:44 PM] Adaryian Alexander: does the icon need to be in an .ico format or can it be a .png?
  420. [3/11/2015 8:07:59 PM] Lorenzo Walz: .ico
  421. [3/11/2015 8:08:02 PM] Lorenzo Walz: to go in the taskbar
  422. [3/11/2015 8:08:05 PM] Adaryian Alexander: okay
  423. [3/11/2015 8:11:25 PM] Adaryian Alexander: weird its not letting me add the .ico file to the test repo
  424. [3/11/2015 8:11:53 PM] Lorenzo Walz: just send it to me.
  425. [3/11/2015 8:11:58 PM] *** ***
  426. [3/11/2015 8:11:59 PM] Lorenzo Walz: may be a permissions thing, idk
  427. [3/11/2015 8:12:14 PM] Adaryian Alexander: wow xfer is slow on skype lol
  428. [3/11/2015 8:12:40 PM] Adaryian Alexander: its not exactly 256x256 because of the dimensions it would look funny
  429. [3/11/2015 8:12:54 PM] Adaryian Alexander: but its 256x183 for correct size
  430. [3/11/2015 8:13:04 PM] Adaryian Alexander: idk if you can test it out and see how it looks or not as an icon
  431. [3/11/2015 8:13:54 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I can
  432. [3/11/2015 8:13:56 PM] Lorenzo Walz: bear with me.
  433. [3/11/2015 8:14:21 PM] Adaryian Alexander: sure
  434. [3/11/2015 8:19:35 PM] Lorenzo Walz: have a splash screen version?
  435. [3/11/2015 8:20:46 PM] Adaryian Alexander: almost done
  436. [3/11/2015 8:21:18 PM] Lorenzo Walz: okay
  437. [3/11/2015 8:23:06 PM] Lorenzo Walz: testing it now
  438. [3/11/2015 8:23:48 PM] Lorenzo Walz: A lot of text comes up over the picture.
  439. [3/11/2015 8:23:52 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Let me see if I can edit that.
  440. [3/11/2015 8:24:19 PM] Adaryian Alexander: can you screenshot it? so i know what you mean?
  441. [3/11/2015 8:26:39 PM] Lorenzo Walz: my virtual machine is being buggy
  442. [3/11/2015 8:26:48 PM] Lorenzo Walz: it isnt a huge issue. the picture resizes itself and looks good.
  443. [3/11/2015 8:27:02 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I've also got it to where the client will now ignore older versions.
  444. [3/11/2015 8:27:12 PM] Lorenzo Walz: which is what you'll need to do a hard fork.
  445. [3/11/2015 8:27:25 PM] Adaryian Alexander: sweet
  446. [3/11/2015 8:27:42 PM] Adaryian Alexander: so splash screen is done.
  447. [3/11/2015 8:27:43 PM] Adaryian Alexander: icon is done
  448. [3/11/2015 8:27:54 PM] Adaryian Alexander: getmininginfo / gethashespersec is done
  449. [3/11/2015 8:28:07 PM] Adaryian Alexander: E instead of 1 is done
  450. [3/11/2015 8:28:18 PM] Adaryian Alexander: is the 10 minutes to 3 minutes done now?
  451. [3/11/2015 8:28:24 PM] Lorenzo Walz: yes.
  452. [3/11/2015 8:28:29 PM] Adaryian Alexander: how about the port change?
  453. [3/11/2015 8:28:46 PM] Lorenzo Walz: not yet
  454. [3/11/2015 8:28:53 PM] Adaryian Alexander: i think that is the last thing then
  455. [3/11/2015 8:29:05 PM] Adaryian Alexander: 8079 for rpcport and 8078 for listen port
  456. [3/11/2015 8:29:31 PM] Adaryian Alexander: brb need to drop a windows disk off at my neighbors :P brb 5 minutes

  459. [3/11/2015 8:30:41 PM] Lorenzo Walz: anyway
  460. [3/11/2015 8:30:51 PM] Lorenzo Walz: there are some different changes that need to be made
  461. [3/11/2015 8:30:58 PM] Lorenzo Walz: but that is a basic hardfork for you.
  462. [3/11/2015 9:26:24 PM] Adaryian Alexander: im back sorry about that
  463. [3/11/2015 9:26:41 PM] Adaryian Alexander: one of those people who just wont stop talking, but he's a good neighbor of mine.
  464. [3/11/2015 9:26:46 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I understand
  465. [3/11/2015 9:27:09 PM] Adaryian Alexander: so the port change is done?
  466. [3/11/2015 9:27:18 PM] Lorenzo Walz: no, I haven't done it
  467. [3/11/2015 9:27:20 PM] Lorenzo Walz: stopped for dinner.
  468. [3/11/2015 9:27:25 PM] Adaryian Alexander: ah np
  469. [3/11/2015 9:27:43 PM] Adaryian Alexander: i think thats the last thing too!
  470. [3/11/2015 9:28:52 PM] Adaryian Alexander: are you able to get the port done tonight as well?
  471. [3/11/2015 9:29:07 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Im not sure atm
  472. [3/11/2015 9:29:10 PM] Lorenzo Walz: not feeling very well
  473. [3/11/2015 9:29:13 PM] Lorenzo Walz: but its a simple change
  474. [3/11/2015 9:29:34 PM] Adaryian Alexander: i'd imagine i could probably do it myself..
  475. [3/11/2015 9:29:44 PM] Adaryian Alexander: probably just changing the port from it's original to the new.
  476. [3/11/2015 9:30:10 PM] Adaryian Alexander: so i sent you 3k ISO for the work yesterday. How does 15k sound for the work you did tonight grab ya?
  477. [3/11/2015 9:30:31 PM] Adaryian Alexander: lemme know if that sounds good.
  478. [3/11/2015 9:30:42 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I don't truly know the value - but for the moment that sounds fine.
  479. [3/11/2015 9:31:02 PM] Adaryian Alexander: sure.. and we can always revisit the amount say in a month if the prices go down or something..
  480. [3/11/2015 9:31:11 PM] Adaryian Alexander: hopefully it goes up and you make a lot on this project!!!
  481. [3/11/2015 9:31:12 PM] Adaryian Alexander: :)
  482. [3/11/2015 9:31:45 PM] Adaryian Alexander: 1
  483. [3/11/2015 9:31:49 PM] Adaryian Alexander: oops

  488. [3/11/2015 9:33:53 PM] Adaryian Alexander: I gotta jump in the shower real fast. I really appreciate the help, and if you're around tomorrow and I can't figure out the port issue. If it's okay I'll hit you up tomorrow for updating that too.
  489. [3/11/2015 9:34:07 PM] Adaryian Alexander: I'll see if I can find a reputable member to compile the new version for windows as well.
  490. [3/11/2015 9:34:39 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Has everything been pushed to GitHub or is it still in test?
  491. [3/11/2015 9:34:58 PM] Lorenzo Walz: test.
  492. [3/11/2015 9:35:02 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I'll do the ports now, just wait.
  493. [3/11/2015 9:35:06 PM] Adaryian Alexander: okay
  494. [3/11/2015 9:35:12 PM] Lorenzo Walz: you wanted 8081?
  495. [3/11/2015 9:35:20 PM] Adaryian Alexander: 8078 for listen port
  496. [3/11/2015 9:35:27 PM] Adaryian Alexander: 8079 for rpc as it is currently
  497. [3/11/2015 9:35:36 PM] Adaryian Alexander: or should be...
  498. [3/11/2015 9:35:50 PM] Adaryian Alexander: brb 10 minutes, need to jump in shower
  499. [3/11/2015 9:37:51 PM] Adaryian Alexander: btw if the ports are changed its ready to go, ill get a programmer tonight to take care of the windows executable so you can push to main repo
  500. [3/11/2015 9:37:53 PM] Adaryian Alexander: brb
  501. [3/11/2015 9:47:45 PM] Adaryian Alexander: im back
  502. [3/11/2015 9:47:53 PM] Adaryian Alexander: woot 10 minutes exactly!
  503. [3/11/2015 9:47:54 PM] Lorenzo Walz: pushed to test
  504. [3/11/2015 9:47:56 PM] Lorenzo Walz: look it over
  505. [3/11/2015 9:48:08 PM] Adaryian Alexander: sycning
  506. [3/11/2015 9:49:22 PM] Adaryian Alexander: yeah looks good. new version will be 1.0.3 ?
  507. [3/11/2015 9:49:41 PM] Lorenzo Walz: idr what I put it to.
  508. [3/11/2015 9:49:44 PM] Lorenzo Walz: just do a getinfo
  509. [3/11/2015 9:49:57 PM] Adaryian Alexander: nVersion == 10300
  510. [3/11/2015 9:50:10 PM] Adaryian Alexander: so im assuming thats the new version vs 70002
  511. [3/11/2015 9:50:20 PM] Lorenzo Walz: now
  512. [3/11/2015 9:50:24 PM] Lorenzo Walz: *no
  513. [3/11/2015 9:50:27 PM] Lorenzo Walz: 70002 is the new
  514. [3/11/2015 9:50:30 PM] Lorenzo Walz: protocol version
  515. [3/11/2015 9:50:34 PM] Adaryian Alexander: oh i see
  516. [3/11/2015 9:50:36 PM] Lorenzo Walz: the 10300 didnt change - that's hardcoded.
  517. [3/11/2015 9:51:07 PM] Adaryian Alexander: i see the client name got changed too, thanks! :)
  518. [3/11/2015 9:51:11 PM] Adaryian Alexander: didnt even think about that
  519. [3/11/2015 9:52:24 PM] Adaryian Alexander: does it all compile correctly and work right?
  520. [3/11/2015 9:52:41 PM] Adaryian Alexander: i dont have a virtual machine setup right now and my nix box is running a active p2pool
  521. [3/11/2015 9:52:44 PM] Lorenzo Walz: it wont sync unless you add another client.
  522. [3/11/2015 9:52:54 PM] Lorenzo Walz: because it denies all connections except for other 70002
  523. [3/11/2015 9:53:02 PM] Adaryian Alexander: sure, understandable.. i have 2 nix servers i would install it to.
  524. [3/11/2015 9:53:41 PM] Adaryian Alexander: so now basically i just need to install it on those nix boxes and get them running and then get the src compiled into windows for regular windows users!
  525. [3/11/2015 9:53:48 PM] Lorenzo Walz: correct.
  526. [3/11/2015 9:53:55 PM] Adaryian Alexander: you're awesome man
  527. [3/11/2015 9:54:05 PM] Adaryian Alexander: will leave positive rep on bitcointalk for you
  528. [3/11/2015 9:54:06 PM] Lorenzo Walz: and I need to add the actual BLOCK where it will change
  529. [3/11/2015 9:54:38 PM] Adaryian Alexander: 32256 would be the block number
  530. [3/11/2015 9:54:50 PM] Lorenzo Walz: right now if everyone changes to this client, then it will be updated but it all depends on everyone doing it at once.
  531. [3/11/2015 9:54:52 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I'll do that.
  532. [3/11/2015 9:55:15 PM] Adaryian Alexander: 32256 on old client would take about 2 weeks with current difficulty and current hashrate
  533. [3/11/2015 10:21:06 PM] Adaryian Alexander: you gonna be able to finish that part tonight?
  534. [3/11/2015 10:21:30 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I need to do some sleeping on it.
  535. [3/11/2015 10:21:52 PM] Adaryian Alexander: When will you be able to finish it do you think?
  536. [3/11/2015 10:22:25 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I'm not sure. You said I have two weeks - I'm a college student and have both a job and other priorities. I know I can get it done, just give me some time.
  537. [3/11/2015 10:24:38 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Sure no problem. I mean't at current rate and that block 2 weeks. I'm not trying to pressure you. I want you to complete it and have it done right. I'm just under the gun as well, as there is some serious interest in this. So I understand where you're coming from. I'm only simply trying to get a date of completion because I need to let some other people know. I didn't mean to offend you if I had.
  538. [3/11/2015 10:25:27 PM] Lorenzo Walz: You're fine. I'll try to have it by tomorrow night, but it is delicate. I'll let you know as soon as I've figured out the best way to do it.
  539. [3/11/2015 10:26:05 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Sounds good man. I'm sure you're tired. Your help has been very great! Have a goodnights rest my friend :)
  540. [3/12/2015 6:36:38 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Hey bud. I have my kid tonight so I won't be on much until about 9pm. So if you're able to get the rest of that finished tonight I'll be able to send another 10k ISO to you.
  541. [3/12/2015 8:04:07 PM] Adaryian Alexander: I'll be on in about 1 hour from now or less.
  542. [3/12/2015 8:54:44 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Have you happened to have a chance to continue updating the client by chance?
  543. [3/12/2015 8:56:03 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Pseudocode written, ACC tournament now. Bear with me.
  544. [3/12/2015 8:56:19 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Yeah no problem man
  545. [3/12/2015 9:31:09 PM] Lorenzo Walz: You around?
  546. [3/12/2015 9:44:48 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Yeah
  547. [3/12/2015 9:44:55 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Went for a smoke
  548. [3/12/2015 9:44:59 PM] Lorenzo Walz: So I don't have access to my nix machine
  549. [3/12/2015 9:45:09 PM] Lorenzo Walz: but my idea is to edit my disconnect snippet to include nHeight
  550. [3/12/2015 9:45:20 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I just can't remember if nHeight is a static variable or an instance variable.
  551. [3/12/2015 9:45:22 PM] Adaryian Alexander: I can get you a nix connection
  552. [3/12/2015 9:45:37 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Had Ubuntu 14 on it
  553. [3/12/2015 9:45:42 PM] Lorenzo Walz: No, I've got some Java work to do - I will be back at my workstation on Sunday.
  554. [3/12/2015 9:45:55 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I will push it to test, feel free to nix compile and tell me.
  555. [3/12/2015 9:46:16 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Okay. So it -Might- be completed?
  556. [3/12/2015 9:47:42 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Correct.
  557. [3/12/2015 9:49:03 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I've pushed it
  558. [3/12/2015 9:49:07 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Okay. I'll give it a shot and report back. You'll be available this Sunday if it doesn't work?
  559. [3/12/2015 9:50:21 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I'll be available, I just can't compile.
  560. [3/12/2015 9:50:29 PM] Lorenzo Walz: If it compiles then it is fine
  561. [3/12/2015 9:50:38 PM] Adaryian Alexander: okay.. ill try to compile right now
  562. [3/12/2015 9:50:50 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Thanks.
  563. [3/12/2015 9:51:03 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Again, I can't figure out if it is a static variable. Which sounds dumb
  564. [3/12/2015 9:51:23 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Well, I'll let you know in a few moments.
  565. [3/12/2015 9:53:06 PM] Adaryian Alexander: compiling now
  566. [3/12/2015 9:53:11 PM] Lorenzo Walz: sure
  567. [3/12/2015 10:00:39 PM] Adaryian Alexander: it wont let me clone the E-CurrencyTEST
  568. [3/12/2015 10:00:44 PM] Adaryian Alexander: it is only the original
  569. [3/12/2015 10:01:04 PM] Adaryian Alexander: https://github.com/Adaryian/E-Currency/tree/E-CurrencyTEST gives me the same link for the original
  570. [3/12/2015 10:01:11 PM] Lorenzo Walz: you have to
  571. [3/12/2015 10:01:19 PM] Lorenzo Walz: hm
  572. [3/12/2015 10:01:59 PM] Adaryian Alexander: ill just FTP it up into the server
  573. [3/12/2015 10:01:59 PM] Lorenzo Walz: git clone -b E-CurrencyTEST https://github.com/adaryian/E-Currency.git
  574. [3/12/2015 10:02:06 PM] Adaryian Alexander: okay
  575. [3/12/2015 10:02:10 PM] Lorenzo Walz: you just have to specify the branch with the -b command
  576. [3/12/2015 10:02:17 PM] Adaryian Alexander: oh yeah tru
  577. [3/12/2015 10:02:20 PM] Adaryian Alexander: late..
  578. [3/12/2015 10:02:21 PM] Adaryian Alexander: lol
  579. [3/12/2015 10:03:40 PM] Adaryian Alexander: compiling again

  588. [3/12/2015 10:08:30 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Undone. I'll look at it more tonight.
  589. [3/12/2015 10:08:43 PM] Lorenzo Walz: This isn't a usual request in a fork, so it needs some time.
  590. [3/12/2015 10:09:17 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Okay.
  591. [3/13/2015 2:26:12 PM] Adaryian Alexander: didnt know you were online already
  592. [3/13/2015 2:27:02 PM] Adaryian Alexander: https://github.com/el3ab/xcoin/tree/master/src is an sha256 coin.. their main.cpp says: New POS, hardfork at block 34000
  593. [3/13/2015 2:27:13 PM] Adaryian Alexander: not sure if looking at their code would help?
  594. [3/13/2015 2:27:33 PM] Adaryian Alexander: i know this is PoW but.. thought i might throw a link to you..
  595. [3/13/2015 2:29:49 PM] Lorenzo Walz: pindexBest->nHeight
  596. [3/13/2015 2:29:51 PM] Lorenzo Walz: is the snippet I need
  597. [3/13/2015 2:47:44 PM] Adaryian Alexander: awesome!
  598. [3/14/2015 3:10:46 PM] Adaryian Alexander: did you happen to get it to work?
  599. [3/14/2015 4:41:08 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I'll be back at a computer tonight, can run some tests and push by tomorrow night.
  600. [3/14/2015 4:44:23 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Awesome. Sounds good man!
  601. [3/14/2015 4:44:53 PM] Adaryian Alexander: What time tonight? I'd like to be on so I can somewhat be involved with everything as much as I can.
  602. [3/14/2015 4:45:23 PM] Lorenzo Walz: It won't be until midnight EST. I'm traveling back home.
  603. [3/14/2015 4:46:40 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Okay. I might actually be on. We're on the same timezone I think. It's 445 right now for me.
  604. [3/14/2015 4:47:48 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Since you started it was sub 2TH/s mining now it's almost 8th/s
  605. [3/14/2015 4:48:27 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Nice. Sadly that may just be a few people.
  606. [3/14/2015 4:49:51 PM] Adaryian Alexander: ~~~~~~DELETED FOR PROPRIETARY INFORMATION~~~~~~~
  607. [3/14/2015 5:12:54 PM] Adaryian Alexander: That's why the push.
  608. [3/14/2015 5:13:12 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I'll be sure to get it done.
  609. [3/14/2015 5:13:41 PM] Adaryian Alexander: So hang on to your ISO because the value will probably sky rocket.
  610. [3/14/2015 5:14:23 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Again once it's finished I'll send you another 10k ISO
  611. [3/14/2015 5:17:15 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Cryptcollector is helping pay the costs which is very nice of him!
  612. [3/14/2015 5:17:37 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I agree. I appreciate you keeping me informed.
  613. [3/14/2015 5:18:48 PM] Adaryian Alexander: No problem. Just dont spread that right yet please.
  614. [3/14/2015 5:19:08 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I would never.
  615. [3/14/2015 5:20:43 PM] Adaryian Alexander: ~~~~~~DELETED FOR PROPRIETARY INFORMATION~~~~~~~
  616. [3/14/2015 5:21:12 PM] Lorenzo Walz: There is a reason I'm not just pushing a fix and calling it a day.
  617. [3/14/2015 5:21:36 PM] Lorenzo Walz: My name is going on this as well - and I use my programming as a part of my resume.
  618. [3/14/2015 5:22:14 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Yeah exactly. I know you're doing it right. Which is what I want. I don't want a quick fix with bugs.
  619. [3/14/2015 5:24:35 PM] Adaryian Alexander: So that's what I meant in the past saying I need it done soon because I have some importance on it being completed is because of the companies interest. But also it needs to be done right. So it's a tug of war on my end lol.
  620. [3/15/2015 11:04:13 AM] Lorenzo Walz: you around?
  621. [3/15/2015 11:04:33 AM] Adaryian Alexander: yesssir
  622. [3/15/2015 11:06:30 AM] Lorenzo Walz: i've test the fix and pushed it
  623. [3/15/2015 11:06:34 AM] Lorenzo Walz: *tested
  624. [3/15/2015 11:06:54 AM] Lorenzo Walz: it allows for connection now, and once it reaches block that specific block it will cut old blocks off.
  625. [3/15/2015 11:07:09 AM] Adaryian Alexander: awesome!
  626. [3/15/2015 11:07:17 AM] Adaryian Alexander: is it on the test or on the main?
  627. [3/15/2015 11:07:21 AM] Lorenzo Walz: the biggest problem will be that the block times will shift at that block, so you'll run into an issue then.
  628. [3/15/2015 11:07:21 AM] Lorenzo Walz: test.
  629. [3/15/2015 11:08:08 AM] Adaryian Alexander: i dont think we'll really run into any issues shifting the timing around.
  630. [3/15/2015 11:08:22 AM] Lorenzo Walz: okay
  631. [3/15/2015 11:08:29 AM] Lorenzo Walz: people can't mine against the new code yet
  632. [3/15/2015 11:08:37 AM] Lorenzo Walz: because they will get conflicting block times
  633. [3/15/2015 11:08:43 AM] Adaryian Alexander: so few people right now.. my server has nearly everyone and it's at 18 connections
  634. [3/15/2015 11:08:56 AM] Adaryian Alexander: so it wont take long to get them on it
  635. [3/15/2015 11:10:43 AM] Lorenzo Walz: sounds good.
  636. [3/15/2015 11:11:56 AM] Adaryian Alexander: Give me a few minutes and I'll send that 10k ISO to you
  637. [3/15/2015 12:12:07 PM] Adaryian Alexander: okay getting ready to send your 10k
  638. [3/15/2015 12:16:16 PM] Adaryian Alexander: left you positive review as well
  639. [3/15/2015 12:16:21 PM] Adaryian Alexander: on BTCtalk
  640. [3/15/2015 2:59:08 PM] Adaryian Alexander: have you been able to reach out to the person who could possibly compile this in Windows?
  641. [3/15/2015 2:59:15 PM] Adaryian Alexander: I'm having the worst time trying to do this.
  642. [3/15/2015 4:53:26 PM] *** Missed call from Lorenzo Walz. ***
  643. [3/15/2015 4:54:52 PM] Lorenzo Walz: pointing someone to you now
  644. [3/15/2015 4:54:55 PM] Lorenzo Walz: he is a friend of a friend
  645. [3/15/2015 4:55:02 PM] Adaryian Alexander: awesome, appreciate it
  646. [3/15/2015 7:02:27 PM] Lorenzo Walz: did he respond?
  647. [3/15/2015 7:28:15 PM] Adaryian Alexander: Yeah he said he is compiling it. Said it was going to take a few hours.
  648. [3/15/2015 7:28:41 PM] Lorenzo Walz: he is one of digitalcoins devs.
  649. [3/17/2015 1:04:38 PM] Adaryian Alexander: is it possible the new update to the client would produce a new blockchain ?
  650. [3/17/2015 1:05:26 PM] Adaryian Alexander: nodes on nix systems don't want to sync past block 4031.. but i setup p2pool and it's mining blocks that are invalid.. as if it was on a new blockchain but not enough clients to make it the "official blockchain"
  651. [3/17/2015 1:05:58 PM] Lorenzo Walz: Are they clean installs?
  652. [3/17/2015 1:06:04 PM] Adaryian Alexander: yup
  653. [3/17/2015 1:06:20 PM] Adaryian Alexander: http://ecurrency.io:9179/static/
  654. [3/17/2015 1:06:22 PM] Adaryian Alexander: im mining
  655. [3/17/2015 1:06:39 PM] Adaryian Alexander: and you can see low block numbers with 1.0 difficulty and then high block numbers with higher difficulty
  656. [3/17/2015 1:06:52 PM] Lorenzo Walz: hmm
  657. [3/17/2015 1:07:00 PM] Lorenzo Walz: I'll look into it, but it doesn't make much sense.
  658. [3/17/2015 1:07:10 PM] Adaryian Alexander: nope not at all..
  659. [3/17/2015 1:12:33 PM] Adaryian Alexander: fresh install on windows even gives a stuck at block #4031
