  1. So what do you think he's looking for :>
  2. he wants you to start by saying what is your risk assessment technique
  3. i doubt that anyone will design their own
  4. so you say you'll be using fault trees or fmeca
  5. then you need to show how that technique works in the context of driverless cars
  6. so grab a random third party effect
  7. say the driverless car failing to stop a pedestrian and hitting it
  8. and draw a fault tree
  9. however, there are still no proper refs for this, so we're working around it
  10. then in the next section you have evaluation
  11. you show the fault tree to a number of users along with some brief (probably verbal) instructions for reading it
  12. and have them do a questionnaire on how well they understood the causes of the failure
  13. then have them do a nasa tlx form
  14. next section, you describe the results - out of x people, y people understood that..
  15. maybe some bar charts too
  16. then you need some conclusion where you summarise the users's accuracy in understanding the events that caused the failure
  17. and also their overall thoughts on how ok is the technique (that's what tlx is for)
  18. do you understand now, why i'll be submitting it on monday
  19.
  20. I understand what you are saying, I believe you are right
