Aanon in Equestria Part 1: Twilight

Huh, that sucks.
>For some reason, you kind of expected that one.
Twi: Are you sure that this was where the trail was?
Yeah, I'm positive.
Twi: Oh, well, I'm sorry...
>She seems more upset than you. You're not even sure why she cares so much. Not many people would help you out when you were on Earth.
It's ok Twilight, I guess I'll find another way home. Somehow...
>You start to walk away.
Twi: Wait! Maybe I can help you!
How? I'm in the wrong town, in the wrong country, and on the wrong planet. What can you do that could help me?
Twi: Let's just go back to my house, I'm sure I can find a way-
Wait, that giant tree was your house?
Twi: Yeah, Princess Celestia let me stay in it for a while.
Who?
Twi: *sigh. We'll talk about it later, let's just get back.

>Once again, you have to trek through the middle of the city. This time, everyone was expecting you. They seemed to be more friendly this time, and even one of them spoke up.
>"Hi", says a random little girl
Hi random girl!
>She seemed confused at why you had to say that last part, but she smiled at you when you walked away. You could get used to this town. You still wanted more than anything to get home though. You were so close to finishing 10th grade. You couldn't wait to call yourself a juinor...
>Focus.
>Twilight let's you into her house again.
Twi: Ok Aanon, this may take a while. I'll have to research a while to see how to get you back. In the meantime, I guess you could stay with me.
>Did she just blush? Nah.
>She then takes out a quill and starts writing a letter.
Twi: Dear Princess Celestia...
>She must be one of those people that need to say what they write. Huh, your best friend does that too.
>She finishes.
Twi: Spike!
>Another cloud of dust.
Spike: Yes Twi?
>You just it ignore it that time.
Twi: Can you send this letter to Princess Celestia? I need to borrow some books from Canterlot.
Spike: Sure thing Twilight.
>Spike takes the letter, and suddenly, a green flame shoots out of his mouth and sets the paper on fire.
>You are stunned. You've never seen a trick like that before.
How did you do that?
Spike: Do what?
That flame? and you just shot it out of your mouth!
Spike: All dragons can do that!
You're a dragon?
Spike: Well, yeah, I'm pretty sure the flame gave it away.
Wait, so can you do that too Twilight?
Twi: Of course not, I'm a unicorn silly!
>You have never been more confused in your life.
Twi: By the way, I've been meaning to ask what you are, so, what are you?
What do you mean?
Twi: Well there are many different races which all look similar. There are ponies, unicorns, pegasi, griffons, dragons, even alicorns!
But-
>Your brain felt like it would explode at any minute.
>This can't be possible. Everything you've learned just turned around and laughed at you in your face. You feel like you want to throw up, but can't.
Twi: Well?
I'm... a human.
Twi: A human, what's that? Do you have any magic talents or anything? I didn't know you were a different race! Whatcanyouguysdocanyoudomagicorflyor-
Twilight, I don't think we have any special powers.
Twi: So, you're kind of like a pony, right?
Yeah, I guess so. Wait, magic? One of your races can do magic?
Twi: Well, actually almost all of them have magic. Pegasi and griffons use magic to fly, and walk on clouds. I guess ponies don't, but us unicorns are the best at using magic for other reasons.
Like what?
>Twilight grins, and she raises her hand. It starts glowing purple, and you notice that a book on the far side of the room does too. She has the book start floating around the room, and soon has an entire bookshelf joining it. She has them dance around for a while.
>You swear your jaw fell off.
Wow! Thats amazing! What else can you do?
>She raises both hands, and all of the books come off their shelves. They start fighting with each other, and she even makes some of the furniture dance around the room. You are amazed at what she could do, and you look at her.
>What used to be a grin on her face was now a grimace. You can see that her muscles are tensed up to the breaking point, and you see her start to sweat.
Hey Twilight. Twilight? Are you ok?
>You rush over to her and grab her arm.
>She automatically collapses in your arms, and the books come crashing to the floor.
Whoa! Twilight? You awake?
>She opens her eyes.
Twi: Uhhhh... I think I pushed myself a little too hard..
I'm sorry, I didn't know that you had limits.
>You both smile at each other, but you both quickly realize how close you two are. You both break away, and nervously look at each other.
>Uh oh, awkward moment again. You better break the ice first.
Twi: So um, I think that it's probably time for bed.
>Damn it, she beat you to it.
Yeah, I guess so..
>She fakes a yawn.
Twi: Good night Aanon, you can sleep on the couch for now.
For now?
>Ok, that time she blushed.
Twi: Yeah, there are some blankets in that closet over there.
>She points to a door behind you.
Twi: Well, good night!
>She runs upstairs.
You to.. Twi.
>You decide to put away some of these books first. Every single book was on the floor. There was no way that you could sleep with that big of a mess in front of you. You don't know if she wanted them shelved alphabeticaly by the author's name, or the title, so you decide to just put all of them in one big neat pile, in a big cube. You could even count all of the books now.
>You can't help it. You do the math.
>Holy crap, thats a lot of  books.
>You strech, and take out your iPod®.
>According to this, it's 2:36 p.m.
>You look out the window, and see that it's totally dark out.
>Yeah right.
>You pull out a blanket from the closet, and you sleep on the floor. The couch was too soft anyway, and you like how the Floor supported your back.
>You suddenly remember when she was in your arms. Her hair had grazed your cheek. It felt different than your hair, and was so soft, like all she did was shampoo and condition it. It felt amazing.
>You shake your head. It was wrong to fall for that girl. You are from totally seperate planets, maybe even universes. You were going to have to leave anyway, so it would only hurt you in the long run. But she's so... amazing.
>You fall asleep, touching your cheek.
