[21:04:44] <Kirin> The hot spring trip is fun and relaxing, and everyone got both mission points and a good soak in the water. Now weekend's over. Back to academic days. Argh.
[21:06:10] <Kirin> It's worth noting that the academy-wide tournament is going to happen soon. Not THAT soon, but it's good to start preparing now if you plan to join one.
[21:06:59] <Doktor_Q> VV has acquired a "fighting spirit enhancing headwear" for the occasion. It's just a bandanna, but she's wearing it very seriously.
[21:07:54] <Kirin> No silver-rank or gold-rank quests today, and the kingdom of light looks very peaceful. All the bronze-rank quests are being distributed evenly to the students.
[21:08:23] <Blue_> Heylan's always preparing! He takes this stuff very seriously. He's even training his weird magic talents that he can only access while in danger!
[21:09:15] <Kirin> So, that's that! As a party and as a person, there's just so much you can do!
[21:09:36] <Kirin> Depends on you, you can shape your own schedule!
[21:11:02] <Rukkileib_> Iiwinasm is doing some light stalking of that marksman girl she... 'met', at the hot springs. She's splitting the rest of her time between training and Alcelstis!
[21:11:08] <Blue_> Heylan's willing to help anyone that comes to him for advice or training, but otherwise trains by himself.
[21:14:37] <Owen> Alcelstis is finally wearing the official white-and-blue school uniform, has managed her hair into a sensible ponytail, and is hard at work studying in the dorm common room.  Before play, there must be work...
[21:14:49] <Kirin> Mirabilis is one of the semi-popular girl of the first year. She however tries to stay out of the spotlight. She got her own party but got forcefully drafted into Draco-sempai's team.
[21:15:51] <Kirin> Party switch is rather common in the first few weeks, and it's actually only allowed around this time.
[21:18:32] <Rukkileib_> Iiwinasm decides that approaching her sounds interesting. Perhaps...'accidentally' meeting her in the halls?
[21:18:52] <Kirin> By stalking and learning about her you also know about Draco, the second year ace, that tries everything he could to recruit top ranked people he sees fit.
[21:19:19] <Kirin> Rumors is that he wants to utterly defeat Heylan's party in the tournament.
[21:24:47] <Kirin> If you want to 'accidentally' meets Mirabilis, there's plenty of opportunity. Make your pick!
[21:26:45] <Rukkileib_> Iiwinasm decides to bump into her as she's returning to her dorm room one evening! A time when she doesn't have something else to go do, and precious few excuses to get rid of her~
[21:27:58] <Kirin> She's on her way back from the shooting range, it seems.
[21:28:36] <Kirin> As soon as she sees you, she becomes red in the face and look away.
[21:28:52] <Doktor_Q> VV is following Heylan, who has the best track record for teaching her so far. She's hospitalized fewer people since the hot spring, and done so in different ways.
[21:29:44] <Rukkileib_> Iiwinasm takes care to not make it look like she was out looking for Mira, and as soon as she sees that Mirabilis has also spotted her, she moves in to say hello. "Mira~!" She says, happily, "What a coincidence~"
[21:35:15] <Kirin> "Um, h-hi..."
[21:35:35] <Kirin> Mirabilis remembers stuff from the hot spring, and that makes her even more red.
[21:35:57] <Kirin> "Very coincidence, ahaha..."
[21:40:01] <Kirin> Mirabilis is now in a very awkward situation. She wants to leave, but it would be very rude to do so when the other party didn't even say any word yet...
[21:40:05] <Rukkileib_> "I had a lo~ve~ly~ time talking with you in the springs, the other day." Iiwinasm tells her, with a smile. "It would be nice if the two of us could be good friends~" Her words and tone are juuuust ambiguous enough to be deniable.
[21:41:30] <Kirin> "Ah, if it's that I don't mind at all. It's nice to get to know more people."
[21:41:48] <Kirin> Mirabilis extends her hand to Iiwinasm.
[21:42:31] <Kirin> "My name is Mirabilis Nagant. And you are...?"
[21:43:42] <Rukkileib_> "Wonderful~" Iiwinasm purrs, her expression flashing to the predatory for only a fleeting, easily dismissed moment. "My name is Illusionary Imposter Who Is Not A Shadowy Mother." There's a brief pause. "Most people call me Iiwinasm, or Iiwi for short."
[21:44:10] <Kirin> "Uh, wha...?"
[21:44:10] <Rukkileib_> She shakes Mira's hand, lingering just a moment too long.
[21:44:31] <Kirin> Mira is not good at diversity and stuff.
[21:44:34] <Rukkileib_> "It's a very traditional name." Iiwinasm reassures the girl.
[21:45:03] <Kirin> "Um, okay. Nice to meet you Iiwi."
[21:45:33] <Kirin> "If you don't mind, we can go grab some dinner? We can have a chat then."
[21:46:50] <Rukkileib_> "Oh, I'd love to get dinner with you~!" Iiwinasm agrees, happily. "By all means, let's eat together~"
[21:48:21] <Kirin> "Alright, let me, um...."
[21:48:42] <Kirin> She looks at her wooden custom rifle on her back, hoping you would get the message.
[21:52:03] <Rukkileib_> "Oh, I don't mind at all." Iiwinasm reassures her. "Go ahead."
[21:53:00] <Kirin> She bows once and heads to her room to store her rifle.
[21:53:37] <Kirin> Follow y/n?
[21:53:45] <Rukkileib_> Iiwinasm trails after her a bit. Not so far as to intrude, but...
[21:54:30] <Kirin> She apparently opens the door and leave it like that. You can take a peek into her room if you wish.
[21:58:04] <Rukkileib_> Iiwinasm does so! She wants to gather more information about this cute little prey, after all~
[22:00:16] <Kirin> Her room is /too/ pink. It's literally straight out of girl manga. Everything is neat, prim, and proper. Decorated with laces and ribbons, teddy bears, and all that jazz. Left only the working area with a rather dull grey-white finish. Her rifle placed neatly in its rack, with black and white family photo(?) over it.
[22:00:27] <Kirin> She comes out.
[22:00:42] <Kirin> "Alright, lets go grab something to eat."
[22:06:18] <Rukkileib_> "Your room is pretty cute~" Iiwinasm opines, following along as Mira leads the way to the cafeteria.
[22:07:21] <Kirin> "I just decorate them when I have spare time, and it sort of becoming like that after a while, ahaha..."
[22:07:51] <Kirin> "It's childish, right? I know..."
[22:08:58] <Rukkileib_> "No, no, it's cute!" Iiwi reassures her. "I think it really has a cute character about it, you know?"
[22:10:42] <Kirin> Mira didn't confirm or deny anything, but she is noticeably redder.
[22:13:10] <Rukkileib_> Iiwi smiles. Mira-points, get~
[22:16:53] <Kirin> Mira is quite well liked around academy. People greets her all the time, though she never reply more than a few words.
[22:18:13] <Kirin> Shr just eat her ordered kitsune udon quietly and steals a glance at you inbetween.
[22:23:57] <Rukkileib_> "So, Mira~?" Iiwi starts, as she eats her own meal - something a little stranger-looking than udon, but still, at least, recognisable. "I bet you have a party, right? What are they like?"
[22:29:30] <Kirin> "I used to party in all girl team, but then Draco-shi forced me to transfer into his. There's another guy he recently recruited, named Rock On. Apparently a very good elemental mage."
[22:29:38] <Kirin> She tries to think...
[22:30:24] <Kirin> "Hmmmm... and he wants to recruit a dragon I think? He said he need a frontliner. I don't know who fits the description..."
[22:36:39] <Rukkileib_> "Oh?" Iiwinasm raises and eyebrow. "Forced you, did he...?" She thinks on this a moment, before shaking her head. "Well, I only know one dragon in this academy, anyway, and it doesn't sound like the two of them would work well together."
[22:37:15] <Kirin> "I just want to live a happy student life..."
[22:37:51] <Kirin> "And, well, be a professional backline supporter so I can save the world too when the hero arrives."
[22:39:12] <Rukkileib_> Iiwinasm shrugs, rolling one shoulder a bit farther than a human could. "Maybe you should switch out of his party, then." She suggest, idly. "This Draco sounds like he's got one of those personalities."
[22:39:52] <Kirin> "I admire his dedication, though. He really set to do what he believes in. It's pretty cool, in a way."
[22:40:22] <Kirin> "But he wants to defeat Heylan-sempai... such dilemma..."
[22:40:38] <Kirin> Mira flops onto the table, groaning.
[22:44:22] <Rukkileib_> "Hmmm." Iiwinasm hums, "I can't see him managing that." She shrugs. "Well, unless Heylan has trouble finding a fifth member." She looks doubtful. "And even then, I don't think being outnumbered so slightly will be a problem for us."
[22:45:58] <Kirin> "Ah. Right... you are with the same party..."
[22:47:24] <Rukkileib_> "Yeah." Iiwinasm nods. "So's the dragon, honestly." She pauses. Frowns. Thinks about it for a moment. "...I think Heylan is the only human we've got, now that I think about it."
[22:48:55] <Kirin> "I hope you have good luck with the fifth member. With Heylan-sempai's fame it's easy to get a good first year or even second year to join you."
[22:49:31] <Kirin> "I'm probably not going to get through the tournament to fight you guys anyway..."
[22:49:52] <Rukkileib_> "Might be." Iiwinasm gives her a lidded look. "...What do you think?"
[22:50:35] <Kirin> "huh?"
[22:53:44] <Rukkileib_> "Well, until you reminded me about it, I hadn't thought about it too much, but..." She shrugs. "You're pretty skilled, you know? 'S what I hear, anyway. People talk about you." She smiles. "And, well, between the four of us..." She looks a little bashful, "We've got a lot of brawlers, you know? I'm pretty much the only one who knows how to stand off."
[22:55:57] <Kirin> "Ah... you are implying that I....?"
[22:56:10] <Kirin> "W-with Heylan-sempai?"
[22:56:20] * Kirin now goes even redder.
[22:56:33] <Kirin> mira now goes even redder.
[23:02:16] <Rukkileib_> Iiwinasm smiles. "Oh, I'm sure he'd be happy to hear you'd be interested." She assures the girl. "He's a really serious type, but he respects hard work, you know."
[23:03:00] <Kirin> "I-if you would have me, that would be fantastic...!"
[23:05:35] <Rukkileib_> "Aha~" Iiwi smiles widely, "Of course, we'll have to talk it over with the others, but..." She grins. "I can guarantee at least half of us will support you."
[23:06:24] <Kirin> She looks like she's about to faint.
[23:06:31] <Kirin> "Aah... so happy..."
[23:12:06] <Rukkileib_> Iiwi giggles a little bit. "So, I look forward to hopefully working with you, Mi~ra~" She says. "Try not to be too lovestruck around the big guy, hmmm~? You need to do your best~"
[23:12:23] <Kirin> "O-okay!"
[23:12:40] <Kirin> She walks around the table and give you a squeeze hug.
[23:12:44] <Kirin> "Thank you!"
[23:14:19] <Rukkileib_> Iiwi hugs her back, tightly. "No, no," she purrs, "You're helping us, too, aren't you?" Her hands, technically, stay completely within the bounds of propriety.
[23:15:14] <Kirin> "Totally!"
[23:15:24] <Kirin> then her mood took a nosedive suddenly.
[23:15:39] <Kirin> "Ugh... how am I going to tell Draco about this...."
[23:18:20] <Rukkileib_> "Do you really need to?" Iiwi asks. "Can't you just... turn in the paperwork and let the admins let him know?" She's honestly curious.
[23:20:16] <Kirin> "I'd feel bad about it... everyone's going to feel bad about it..."
[23:20:30] <Kirin> "i mean, just up and leave is not right. I need to tell him properly at least."
[23:21:31] <Kirin> "But maybe I'm getting ahead of myself. This is not set in stone yet isn't it? I shouldn't act like it's gonna be like that..."
[23:21:44] <Kirin> Now Mirabilis is just beating herself up over it.
[23:22:13] <Rukkileib_> "Nah." Iiwinasm waves a hand. "He tried to steal you away, you got stolen away." She says, "It's all fair." There's a pause, and a small smile creeps over her face. "But if you'd really feel bad about it..." She says, "Then, well, as your friend, I could with you. Support you. Be there as moral support, right?"
[23:22:45] <Rukkileib_> "Don't worry too much about it." She says, "Let's go talk with the others, first, and once they see how good you are, we can figure it out from there, hmmm?"
[23:23:13] <Kirin> "um, okay."
[23:23:21] <Kirin> She agrees without a fuss.
[23:24:29] <Rukkileib_> "Good~!" She claps her hands together. "It'll all turn out wonderfully, you'll see."



Meanwhile, back at the dorm...

[21:25:37] <Blue_> Heylan decides to do something a bit unusual for him! He seeks out Alcelstis to speak with her in private.
[21:28:40] <Owen> Alcelstis turns from her books to see Heylan standing next to her in the common room.  "Yes?"
[21:30:12] <Blue_> Heylan's wearing the school uniform, hand in one pocket, giving Alcelstis an unreadable expression. "We should have a word in private."
[21:32:08] <Owen> The dragon sighs, marks the page in her book, and closes it as she stands up.  "Where?"
[21:32:30] <Blue_> "Up to you. One of our rooms, perhaps?"
[21:34:46] <Owen> "Our rooms have ears, and the ears belong to a one Madam Kanrinin.  Unless you don't care, because I won't."
[21:35:11] <Owen> "What's this about, anyways?"
[21:35:34] <Owen> "I'm busy."
[21:35:42] <Blue_> "The tournament." He turns, and motions for the girl to follow him to his room.
[21:38:24] <Owen> Alcelstis does so, squeezing her wings through the door frame like she always has to.  She makes a note of the custom work-out equipment Heylan keeps in the corner.  She also makes a note to stand closer to the door than him.
[21:40:19] <Doktor_Q> VV stands directly in the door frame, still eeriely silent.
[21:40:47] <Owen> "If you're going to lecture me about the ogres again, DON'T" Alcel says right off the bat.  "I assure you I have better ideas for how to not suck prepared."
[21:41:24] <Owen> Alcelstis nonchalantly leans against the open door, swinging it shut while totally not noticing that she's shutting out VV by doing so.
[21:41:50] <Doktor_Q> VV is  in  the doorway. The door stops by hitting her, only about half closed.
[21:41:58] <Doktor_Q> It bounces off, with a small 'ow'.
[21:42:54] <Owen> The dragon-girl leans her head into the half-open door.  "Private.  Adjective.  Belonging to, or for the use of, one particular person or group of people only."
[21:44:33] <Doktor_Q> "Correct." VV replies with a smile, like a teacher who's problem student is finally showing improvement.
[21:44:43] <Blue_> Heylan lets out a breath, then turns and gives Alcelstis a hard, cold gaze. ...Which softens slightly, but only slightly, at her words. "I'll get straight to the point: If your refusal to rely on others causes you to do something foolish again, I won't quit the tournament for your sake."
[21:44:44] <Blue_> A pause. "That's all."
[21:46:58] <Owen> Alcelstis turns back to Heylan, not bothering to try and force the door closed on VV.  Upon hearing Heylan's words, her expression dulls from casual concern to boredom.
[21:47:46] <Owen> "Then I'LL get straight to the point.  Thank you.  It won't."  A pause.  "That's all."
[21:48:39] <Owen> Without waiting for a response, she turns around and opens the door, then stares down at VV.
[21:49:24] <Owen> "And?" the dragon asks the golem, as if the question means something.
[21:49:56] <Doktor_Q> "And?"
[21:53:01] <Owen> "What is your objective in standing in that spot, at this point in time?" To say something less ambiguous would of course garner poor results.
[22:00:02] <Doktor_Q> "Image training."
[22:01:04] <Owen> "Well it's not working.  I could walk through an image.  I can't walk through you."
[22:01:53] <Owen> Alcelstis shoves VV's shoulder playfully backwards, and shakes her head.  "Nope.  Definitely a solid object."
[22:01:58] <Doktor_Q> V-V stares at her blankly, without a word.
[22:04:19] <Owen> The dragon-girl puts her hands on her hips.  "Planning on doing any movement training soon?"
[22:04:47] <Doktor_Q> "Of course!"
[22:05:03] <Doktor_Q> V-V grabs Alcel's hand and immediately begins dragging her towards the outside.
[22:11:45] <Owen> Alcelstis is dragged nowhere unless she wants to be!  She keeps up a brisk pace and just walks with VV instead.
[22:11:51] <Blue_> Heylan closes the door behind them, and gets back to training.
[22:12:43] <Owen> Before Alcel leaves, she shouts back, "Heylan, you can come too, I wanted to talk to you NOT in private about the tournament."
[22:13:09] <Doktor_Q> V-V is leading them to somewhere open enough to start spying!
[22:14:56] <Doktor_Q> sparring
[22:15:26] <Blue_> Heylan's eyebrow arches, and he follows without a word.
[22:17:33] <Owen> "I never said I'd train WITH you, Vee," Alcelstis comments as she follows along.  She was planning on going out anyways; not like she cares about VV or anything!
[22:18:55] <Doktor_Q> "You implied it!" V-V counters as they reach the lawn. She immediately lowers her body, visor flipping down with a clang, and uses her entire weight to throw Alcel in the opposite direction like she were a softball.
[22:25:37] <Owen> Alcelstis unfurls her wings and uses the momentum of the throw to enter an extremely low-altitude glide to correct her trajectory.  She lands with some difficulty, ending up on her hands and knees.
[22:26:25] <Owen> "I was talking about you MOVING out of the door!" she shouts back, dusting the grass off her palms.
[22:26:51] <Doktor_Q> V-V takes a wide stance, hands held up, palms out. She looks like she's copying someone much bigger.
[22:29:23] <Owen> Alcy pulls her ponytail behind her back again, strolling casually towards V-V with her hands in her pockets.  "I ain't fighting you; put your hands down.  I need to talk about fighting WITH you.  Heylan, ass over here now, please."
[22:30:05] <Blue_> "Rude," Heylan remarks, arms crossed, standing still.
[22:30:31] <Doktor_Q> "Sparring with different targets improves results!" She makes a lunge!
[22:35:21] <Owen> "Planning HOW you're going to spar improves results!" Alcelstis flaps her wings and jumps out of range.
[22:35:46] <Owen> "Will you cut that shit out, I'm trying to start a strategy meeting here!"
[22:36:09] <Doktor_Q> V-V tumbles, recovers, and tries to go after her again!
[22:47:19] <Owen> Alcelstis waits for the lunge to come in range, plants her boots tightly into the ground, and lifts VV's feet off the ground into an aerial bear-hug like she weighs nothing at all.  And she does actually weigh a considerable amount.  Y'know, for a girl.
[22:48:13] <Doktor_Q> VV struggles and tries to puff up her chest, only succeeding in getting her vents to blow steam again.
[22:48:24] <Owen> "Tag you're it I quit," Alcy responds.
[22:49:18] <Owen> The dragon plops V-V back down onto the ground, and sits down.
[22:50:59] <Owen> "We're talking tournament now."
[22:51:12] <Blue_> NOW Heylan walks over.
[22:51:17] <Doktor_Q> "Another round!" VV declares as soon as she hits the ground, trying to jump back up! Her face is shining.
[22:52:19] <Owen> Alcelstis taps the ground.  "This is more important.  We'll spar for REAL later."
[22:53:54] <Doktor_Q> "Aawwww." She reluctantly reverts from combat mode, and begins cooling off.
[22:57:23] <Owen> "Okay, so..." Alcelstis points to V-V, then Heylan.  "Front line, and front line."  She then thumbs at herself.  "Back line."
[22:57:51] <Owen> "Aaaaaand... what does Iiwi do again?"
[22:58:05] <Doktor_Q> VV raises her hand. "Predate!"
[22:58:43] <Blue_> "Dark magic and swordplay," Heylan states calmly.
[23:03:44] <Owen> "Floater, right, okay..."  Alcelstis rubs her chin.  "V-V, I'm actually honestly curious this time.  What would YOU say we're missing, as a composition?"
[23:11:37] <Doktor_Q> VV thinks. "A target." She pounds her fist into her palm.
[23:13:42] <Owen> The dragon thinks about that for a moment, and shrugs as she looks to the side at Heylan.  "Well, she's not wrong."
[23:14:31] <Blue_> Heylan shrugs in reply. He's not disagreeing, certainly.
[23:18:58] <Owen> "We could use an elementalist," Alcelstis floats out there.
[23:19:11] <Doktor_Q> "A what?"
[23:19:46] <Owen> Alcelstis rolls her eyes and uses the common-man's term.  "A mage."
[23:20:16] <Blue_> Heylan shakes his head. "No, that's what Iwii's specialized in. We have no way to defeat an opponent immune to magic at range."
[23:20:38] <Doktor_Q> "Heavy artillery."
[23:20:59] <Blue_> "Precisely."
[23:21:22] <Doktor_Q> "I will report to hakase."
[23:21:51] <Owen> Alcelstis rolls her eyes again, pulls out her boot knife, and stabs a tree fifty feet away using one of her shimmering hand-portals.
[23:21:58] <Owen> "Excuse me?"
[23:22:31] <Blue_> "Is that portal not magic?" Heylan points out.
[23:23:36] <Owen> "Oh picky picky.  And I suppose you're going to tell me that FIRE is made of magic too?"
[23:25:49] <Doktor_Q> VV is busily estimating the distance, and how far she could cross it.
[23:27:16] <Blue_> "A fireball spell would be torn apart by an anti-magic field."
[23:29:33] <Owen> Alcelstis shrugs again.  "Sucks to be Iiwi, then."
[23:30:33] <Blue_> "Either way, we'd be more tactically sound with some form of archer."
[23:36:16] <Owen> The dragon considers the proposition.  "I'm vetoing crossbows, just so's you know.  Fucking amateur toys."
[23:36:54] <Doktor_Q> VV agrees whole-heartedly.
[23:37:25] <Blue_> Heylan nods in agreement. "Their range is too limited to be of much use."
[23:39:57] <Owen> "Firearm?" Alcy suggests.  "And don't you fucking DARE tell me firearms are magical, I will gut you and no one of any intelligence will say I was wrong."
[23:42:04] <Blue_> "Firearms would be adequate. Bows, as well. Perhaps someone unusually good with throwing knives."
[23:43:27] <Kirin> Iiwinasm is here! Also with someone else in tow.
[23:44:17] <Rukkileib_> "Heyyyy~" She greets everyone, unconcerned. "Everyone's all together, how convenient~"
[23:45:31] <Blue_> Heylan greets them with a wave.
[23:46:06] <Doktor_Q> "Did your hunt go well?" VV asks with sincerity.
[23:49:36] <Rukkileib_> Iiwinasm giggles. "Ahh, VV~" She waves a hand. "So! We're one short for the tournament, you know~?"
[23:50:35] <Doktor_Q> VV tries to read between the lines, based on analysis of Iiwi's behaviors. "...are you preg-"
[23:52:20] <Owen> "She's not THAT stupid, VV," Alcel comments, implying implications.
[23:53:24] <Blue_> Heylan sighs.
[23:53:29] <Kirin> Mirabilis, the girl that is with Iiwinasm, is surprised too.
[23:53:36] <Kirin> "Wha- You are pregnant?!"
[23:53:49] <Kirin> "Congratulations!"
[23:54:06] <Doktor_Q> VV amends her record.
[23:55:18] <Blue_> Heylan sighs harder.
[23:55:51] <Rukkileib_> "W-w-wha-" Iiwi looks between Mira and VV. "N-no!" She protests. "I found us a fifth!"
[23:56:43] <Doktor_Q> "Oh."
[23:58:46] <Owen> "You found us a CANDIDATE for a fifth," Alcelstis corrects, holding up a finger.  "Hello new girl.  I'm the old girl who thinks you're not good enough without knowing anything about you."
[23:58:54] <Blue_> "Oh?" Heylan arches an eyebrow.
[00:00:00] <Kirin> "H-hello!" She quickly does an awkward bow. "Mirabilis Nagant, second year!"
[00:00:03] <Rukkileib_> "This is Mirabilis!" Iiwinasm introduces her. "She's kind of renowned for her skill, in the Academy!"
[00:00:23] <Kirin> "I'm good at knitting and cooking and uh I like dogs!"
[00:00:45] <Rukkileib_> "RElevant things, Mira, relevant things." Iiwi coaches. "Talk about your gun!"
[00:00:56] <Owen> "Cool, I don't care!"
[00:02:06] <Kirin> "Awawawa I can shoot things really good?"
[00:02:19] <Kirin> Mirabilis runs out of things good about her.
[00:02:34] <Doktor_Q> "Do dogs taste good?" VV asks, raising her hand.
[00:03:25] <Rukkileib_> Iiwinasm rolls her eyes. "She's easily flustered, you know? But in combat, she's totally reliable."
[00:03:36] <Rukkileib_> "And VV, it depends on the breed."
[00:03:54] <Doktor_Q> VV nods, remembering it.

[00:06:06] <Rukkileib_> "You could get your rifle." Iiwi suggests, gently. "Take a moment to breathe, yeah? Relax a bit." She leans in to whisper in her ear. "Heylan doesn't mind your personality, as long as you can show him your skill. You can do it."
[00:06:08] <Blue_> "We  had  been discussing a need for someone specialized in range, but..." Heylan grimaces and looks away.
[00:07:25] <Kirin> Mirabilis is a fine mess now, with Heylan sighing like that she lost 95% of her self esteem with it.
[00:09:32] <Owen> "Hey new girl, what's your name again?  I already forgot."  Alcel didn't, actually, but she just wants to make sure.  She recalls hearing about someone with a similar name, maybe...?
[00:09:40] <Rukkileib_> "Easy, easy." Iiwi coaches her, leading her away from the group a bit. "You don't need to get all worked up like this." She tells her, laying an arm around her shoulder. "Like I told you, it's all results, for Heylan, yeah? Just breathe, maybe get your rifle, and show him that that back there." She waves an arm. "That's not you. You're a strong girl he can rely on."
[00:11:41] <Kirin> You recalled Mirabilis as a very famous marksman from second year, hailed as ranked-1 sharpshooter of the academy. She's known to be a total klutz but performed incredibly well under real-life situation. if you throw her a fastball, she'll react with perfectly trained reflex.
[00:14:08] <Kirin> Mira is breathing in and out steadily, trying to gather scattered pieces of her concentration.
[00:15:12] <Owen> Alcelstis taps her fingers on her arm.  If this is the same girl, there's an opportunity here.  Nobody else would trust her on their team, but if she's the real deal...
[00:16:54] <Owen> "Hey!  New girl!" Alcel yells brusquely.  "Is your name Mirabilis Nagant?"
[00:17:20] <Kirin> "Th-that I am. Why?"
[00:17:22] <Rukkileib_> "You're doing better, see? Better." Iiwi coaches. "Breathe. It's easy to get all flustered, right? But that's only because you're letting yourself think about it." And then Alcel interrupts her, and she gets a little cross, frowning over her shoulder.

[00:19:14] <Owen> Alcelstis stands up and then walks a good distance away.  "Mirabilis Nagant!  Shoot me."
[00:19:55] <Kirin> "Huh? wha? why?!"
[00:20:27] <Doktor_Q> Ohhhh. VV understands. "So you're a masoch-"
[00:20:39] <Owen> The dragon smirks.  "Because if you don't I'll set you and your new friend on fire."
[00:20:57] <Blue_> Heylan siiiiiiiiiiiighs.
[00:22:25] <Owen> "You'd better find your sidearms~  Threeeeee..."
[00:22:36] <Rukkileib_> "Fucking Alcel!" Iiwinasm curses, pushing herself a little away from Mira. "...Alcel, I'm warning you." She warns, pointing. "Try it and I'll set YOU on fire!"
[00:22:42] <Kirin> in one second flat, something flicked from under her blue-white uniform jacket, and level at Alcelstis face, and she tumbles to crouching position away from you!

[00:22:58] <Kirin> You now have Glock18C pointing at your face.
[00:24:12] <Owen> Alcelstis doesn't budge.  "Twwoooooo~"
[00:25:14] <Kirin> She flick some lever on her gun.
[00:27:19] <Owen> The dragon clenches her left hand into a fist nearly hard enough to draw blood in her palms, but JUST hard enough so she can feel the blood close at hand.  Bullets hurt, after all, and in case the worst happens...
[00:28:33] <Owen> Her other hand raises a single finger as her expression grows cold.  "One."
[00:28:59] <Blue_> Heylan just brings his hand to his chin in thought.
[00:29:32] <Kirin> Mirabilis shifts target and fire three rounds burst at your foot!
[00:29:57] <Doktor_Q> VV applauds.
[00:34:45] <Owen> Alcel honestly wasn't expecting Mira to shoot that soon after she said "One".  She stares at the small craters by her feet, and her blood boils.  Her eyes snap back to Mira, full of fire.
[00:35:15] <Owen> "What, the FUCK, was that weak shit?!"
[00:35:41] <Owen> "Is the GROUND trying to set you on fire?  Maybe the GRASS?!"
[00:36:14] <Owen> Alcelstis starts walking forwards, slowly, and purposefully.
[00:36:28] <Kirin> She's shaking a bit, but still keep her distance, walking back to match the pace.
[00:36:45] <Kirin> "I-is this an alright thing to do? I don't want to do this!"
[00:40:27] <Rukkileib_> "Really, it's fine to shoot her in the face a bit." Iiwi opines, still on her guard. "It's what she wants, after all, and I'm just going to end up having to light her up if you don't..."
[00:44:29] <Doktor_Q> VV steps between the two, her combat visor sliding back down. As she crouches, the seams on her legs widen, glowing faintly orange.
[00:46:02] <Owen> "What good is a gunner who can't SHOOT what she NEEDS to shoot?!" the dragon bellows, halting her approach when she notices VV getting ready to be annoying.

[00:48:06] <Owen> "I AM SOMEONE WHO'S GOING TO MELT YOUR FACE, BITCH!"
[00:48:53] <Owen> "SOME FUCKER LIKE THAT COMES UP TO YOU YOU SHOOT THAT CUNT!"
[00:48:55] <Rukkileib_> Iiwi can't help but put her face into her hands. Of course this would happen, what did she even expect.
[00:49:24] <Kirin> Without second thoughts, she pours everything in her mag at Alclestis. That's 27 rounds of hot lead with speed close to sound.
[00:54:51] <Owen> At the exact same time, a shining stream of fire erupts from Alcelstis' mouth, swirling straight towards Mirabilis.  The stream billows and pulses as it eats round after round of lead like a ravenous beast, growing smaller and smaller as they cancel each other out.  Mira feels a pleasantly warm puff of air blow across her face when all is said and done, and Alcelstis has not been shot a...

[00:56:14] <Rukkileib_> Meanwhile, however, a bolt of fire comes growling through the air at Alcel, from Iiwi.
[00:56:32] <Kirin> You see Mirabilis automatically execute the reloading procedure, seeing that her target is still not disabled. She raise her skirt up and take a spare mag from her thigh pouch.
[00:56:40] <Owen> The dragon-girl is inhaling and exhaling deeply, rather surprised that it worked, actually.
[01:10:05] <Owen> Alcelstis takes an easy step to the left and lets the firebolt sail past harmlessly.  She gives Iiwi a pitiable stare.
[01:10:21] <Rukkileib_> "I said I'd try." She shrugs.
[01:10:40] <Blue_> Heylan gives Iiwi a raised eyebrow. "What was the point of that?"
[01:11:55] <Doktor_Q> VV looks back at Iiwi, disappointed.
[01:12:00] <Owen> Alcelstis straighten her uniform and relaxes, trying to give off the vibe of someone that's less of a threat, though she keeps the same distance as before.  "To get her to find her guns.  I'd say she did."
[01:12:01] <Kirin> You gave Mirabilis enough time to reload, and she fires yet another 30 rounds at Alclestis!
[01:12:06] <Rukkileib_> "I said!" Iiwi protests, "If she tried to set us on fire, I would return the favour!" She pouts, a bit. "We're not on fire, she's not on fire, everyone's even, Alcel can stop being like great-gramma, and we can all sit down and actually TALK, okay?"
[01:12:08] <Kirin> She's focused, I'll give you that.
[01:13:39] <Blue_> Heylan watches Alcel, gauging her reaction to the situation getting out of her control.

[01:20:04] <Owen> Alcelstis' guard is dropped, and by the time the report of the third and fourth bullets reach her ears, the first and second are already whizzing by her.  With no time to try and burn them up, all she can do it steel her skin (literally) and stand strong against the rushing torrent.  30 bullets prooobably won't kill her...?

[01:31:18] <Owen> Let it be known that Alcelstis loses count of how many bullets hit her after three.  The dragon-girl's brand new white uniform is splattered with purplish-red blood, and while she is somehow still standing, it's talking a considerable effort to do so.

[01:33:00] <Owen> The burning blood still raging in her veins does something to ease the pain.  She gingerly takes her cap off and looks at it; there's four bullet holes in it.
[01:33:47] <Rukkileib_> Iiwi waves her hands. "Easy, easy." She says. "Fight's over. She got what she wanted." She glances over at Heylan. "And so did you, actually."
[01:36:00] <Kirin> "Why do you have an agent of dark kingdom in your party?! And you all know about it, too?!"
[01:36:58] <Doktor_Q> "She's not."
[01:37:11] <Blue_> Heylan nods. "I see. You react quickly under pressure, but don't think clearly, and are easy to deceive."
[01:37:11] <Kirin> "Huh...?"
[01:37:13] <Owen> Alcelstis puts her cap back on anyways.  "Okay, somebody... ow...  Somebody come over here and--nggh--check her accuracy.  I lost count after, uhh.... three."

[01:38:38] <Kirin> She fumbles around for spare mags and realize she didn't have any. One spare for sidearms is usually what she carries. I mean, 60 rounds of long magazine should covers everything already isn't it?
[01:39:31] <Blue_> Heylan trots over to Alcelstis, and places a glowing hand on her shoulder.  Cast a spell : Cure light wounds.
[01:39:57] <Rukkileib_> "Eaaaasy." Iiwi lays a hand on her arm. "She's just aggressive, you know? Thinks that the best way to see what you can do is to try and get you to try to kill her."

[01:42:03] <Rukkileib_> "Naw." Iiwi waves a hand. "Heylan's probably the only who'd die from that sort of thing." She says. "He's just human, after all."
[01:42:42] <Kirin> "I-I won't shoot Heylan-sama even if that kills me!"
[01:43:09] <Kirin> She pockets the gun back into the holster. It's useless without ammo anyway.
[01:43:17] <Doktor_Q> "He has bested me in wrestling," VV counters that assessment
[01:43:27] <Rukkileib_> "He's not that kind of ass, so you won't have to!" Iiwi claps, happily. "And he even acknowledged your skill, see? Win-Win-Win!"
[01:43:43] <Rukkileib_> She masterfully ignores VV.

[01:43:52] <Kirin> A shutter sound.
[01:43:55] <Blue_> "Nobody would die on my watch," he states, as if it were a fact as incontestable as the sky's color.
[01:48:28] <Kirin> "I followed gunshot sounds and I found something interesting!"
[01:49:12] <Kirin> A student with a camera is there on the tree branch taking a picture of everything!
[01:49:34] <Owen> Alcelstis rolls her shoulder.  Heylan's healing spell was rushed and hardly the cure-all she was looking for.  She'll just have to walk it off.
[01:49:48] <Blue_> Heylan sighs internally, and decides to go for another round of healing on Alcelstis. (Casting cure light wounds again!)
[01:50:50] <Rukkileib_> "No you didn't!" Iiwinasm calls back. "It's just a five-way lover's rendezvous, run-of-the-mill stuff!"
[01:51:13] <Kirin> "Academy Aces shootout with shady Dark Kingdom student!  Heylan also at the scene! is the war started even before the tournament?!"
[01:51:43] <Kirin> "The transfer wars seems to be heating up as he tries to steal Mirabilis from second year's strongest party!"
[01:51:54] <Kirin> "Big scoop!"
[01:52:05] <Kirin> She jumps down the tree and begins dashing off!
[01:52:25] <Rukkileib_> "We're just un-stealing her!" Iiwi adds, shouting after the girl. "Draco's the thief!"
[01:52:28] <Owen> "Cite your sources!" Alcelstis yells as the girl scampers away without asking questions.  "CITE THEM!"
[01:53:10] <Blue_> "There we go," Heylan says, removing his hand.  Now  he bothers with the new headach- er, arrival. He scratches his cheek as she runs, then tilts his head towards Iiwi. "Can you use your magic to trip her?"
[01:54:42] <Rukkileib_> "Anyway!" Iiwi pats Mira on the shoulder. "You shot Alcel, so she's totally going to support you, and Heylan saw your skills, so..." She spits a dark word of fell import, waving a hand towards the fleeing report. "You totally made the cut!" A grasping tendril of darkness reaches out, after the reporter.

[01:56:11] <Owen> The second healing spell seems to have done the trick, as Alcy pats herself over, feeling nearly like new.  Then she frowns, and turns to Heylan.  "You forgot to count the bullet holes, Heylan!  I wanted to know her accuracy, damn it!"
[01:56:31] <Doktor_Q> "5 and a half," VV replies, replaying the saved memory.
[01:57:04] <Blue_> Heylan shrugs, jerking his thumb at Vivi.
[01:57:29] <Owen> "Only?  Out of 30?"  Alcy tsk-tsks.
[01:57:51] <Doktor_Q> "Four in one hole."
[01:59:02] <Owen> Alcelstis is impressed, and stares down at her ruined uniform.  "Which hole?"  Abdomen or collarbone?"
[01:59:46] <Doktor_Q> VV pokes her in the belly. "Three" She pokes the collarbone.
[02:02:22] <Owen> "Where was the half?"
[02:03:49] <Doktor_Q> "Several places."
[02:06:53] <Kirin> So with that, You have yourself another gunner (candidate)!
[02:07:08] <Kirin> By pissing off another guy to do so, too!

[02:07:48] <Kirin> Like the camera girl said, the "Transfer Wars" just erupted within the academy with you as the trigger!
