  1. >>34168 - SCRUFFY
  2. >>34170
  3. The super-team let out a roar and charged the psionic entity, weapons and powers held heroically high.
  4.
  5. But, try as they might, Quartet 1, even in his weakened state, still proved a mighty opponent. Q1 flattened them with a telekinetic push, and when Scrufftron leapt towards him, he only raised a finger.
  6.
  7. The whirling dervish of metal scraps and razor-thin shards came to a halt and, at Q1's urging, embedded themselves into Scrufftron's body, causing him to stumble and fall to his knees in a bleeding heap.
  8.
  9. It was then that Q1 knelt down and gripped the magnetic hero by his armor, and spoke.
  10.
  11. "There is no salvation. You struggle in vain."
  12.
  13. In one fluid movement he undid the clasps and latches that kept Scrufftron's armor bolted to him, and tore the thing off, hoisting it high. "This is not yours to wear."
  14.
  15. Dura-Dong, seeing an opportunity, leapt forward dong-first to try and stop the psionic horror from doing... whatever it was he was about to do. And for his effort, he found himself viciously slammed into the dirt, screaming as several somethings crunched and cracked in his torso.
  16.
  17. Was this the end for Scrufftron?
  18.
  19. YOU ARE NOW [CRITICALLY WOUNDED]
  20.
  21. BEGIN ROUND 7 OF SCRUFFTRON-VS-JIMMY 1
  22.
  23. >>34173 - CURIOUS
  24. >>34193
  25. The ship let out with an almighty crash when it met the earth, lighting up in a purple explosion of fire and sonics. It was this terrific backdrop that served as lighting for the latest round of Quartet 2 and Dragoon's deadly dance: the draconic hero flinging earth and metal this way and that, the Supreme Overcommander dancing and juking as he annihilated entire swaths of oncoming debris with his trumpet.
  26.
  27. It was Dragoon's mobility that saved him, to be sure-- he quickly lost count of how many times he only just avoided a concussive blast of bone-cracking sound. His wall crumbled with all haste and, to replace it, he extended a scaly hand and tore a massive hunk of hull into the air, and then into the ground before him. Quartet 2 seemed amused, and hit the wall with a keening note that seemed to resonate through the thing-- and that then turned it into a fine, gritty metal dust.
  28.
  29. As Dragoon leapt upward to avoid another oncoming sonic blast, his ear-radio crackled to life, with the well-wishes of the Mastermind, and with news from his subordinates: "Help's on the way, boss. Just hold out a little longer!"
  30.
  31. BEGIN ROUND 5 OF DRAGOON-VS-QUARTET 2, TRUMPET WRAITH
  32.
  33. >>34178 - FAUST/VLADIMIRE
  34. 1. A-list Super Sorcery 19/25
  35.
  36. 2. V.U. Mobility 11/12
  37.
  38. 3. Gain another Zombie Platoon. Your University, at least, churns out a meagre handful of Death Beaters...
  39.
  40. Gain 2 Novice Death Beaters.
  41.
  42. 4. For the briefest instant, the sounds of K-Pop filter in through the scrying feed as Vladimire's supicions are realized-- the Sunjust girl is trying to get her internet connection back up!
  43.
  44. However, the signal soon turns back to more fried chicken outlets-- how dull...
  45.
  46. >>34177 - MORGOTH
  47. >>34194
  48. Bob set his face into a look of regal resolve and began revolving on the spot, eliciting a laugh from Mongozo. "You had best be spinning yourself a grave! Make it small enough for your ashes!"
  49.
  50. With that, the cybernetic sorcerer charged a crackling blast of blue fire and hurled it at Bob, who deflected it with a high-speed flick of his blade. Perturbed, Mongozo sent one blast after another, all just barely knocked aside by the whirling dervish that was blade and flail.
  51.
  52. Mongozo seethed and conjured a larger ball of flame-- but narrowed his eyes as it was suddenly snuffed out. The firewall followed, sputtering into nothingness, and as Mongozo tried to set it back, Bob shattered the sound barrier and leapt at the metallic mage, shattering his chest armor with an awesome flail blow.
  53.
  54. Mongozo fell to the ground, screaming in fury as Bob gently landed before him, no longer constrained by the wall of lethal heat and flame...
  55.
  56. BEGIN ROUND 4 OF DRACULA BOB-VS-CYBER MONGOZO
  57.
  58. >>34187 - PIRATEJOE
  59. 1. Unfortunately, your training stalls due to your preoccupation with your armor!
  60.
  61. 2/3. C-List Power Armor 2/8
  62.
  63.
  64. >>34195 - BAZRAEL
  65. 1. Your forces clash magnificently with the skyward skeletons... and find themselves pushed back by the sheer volume of skeletons and ships pouring through the portal. You narrowly dodge your Doomcopter as it is sent hurtling to the earth, and despite your rock-n-roll support, it's clear that things are going... poorly...
  66.
  67. Lose 2 Sound Tanks. Lose 1 Doom Tank.
  68.
  69. 2. The Skeletons have hit your Factory, they scream over the comms! It's out of commission for the time being!
  70.
  71. 3. There's an almighty hum as the ROCK STAR begins ascending into the air-- and its auxillary weapon systems hammer the skeleton onslaught as best they can...
  72.
  73. It's not clear if it'll be enough, but if it can get high enough for the superlaser....
  74.
  75. >>34205 - WORLDMASTER
  76. 1/2. The tide is quenched, partially, as Miss Moscovia sends sweeping jabs and hooks at the oncoming stream of ships, turning many into burning flares of wreckage. This, though, elicits such a volume of lasers and concussive sonics that her fantastic durability is pushed to its limits.
  77.
  78. YOU ARE NOW BATTERED.
  79.
  80. 3. Your aid, unfortunately, was for naught-- you destroy several more oncoming barges and take one as a shield but they manage to knock the factory out of commission-- you see smoke rising from it in the distance.
  81.
  82. >>34206 - CORNWALLIS
  83. 1/3. Whipping your chain this way and that, you carve through the skeleton tide and leap forward to bring a demonic, flaming fist down upon a psion-skeleton that was just about to take control of your boys.
  84.
  85. Now, at this distance, you can see that the skeletons are spawning from a great, shimmering purple portal being maintained by a single cyber skeleton incrusted in blue crystals... this must be what's spawning them...
  86.
  87. >>34209 - CLOVIS
  88. 1. Unfortunately, the entity's move to investigate-- to help-- is stymied as it is forced to hide from a massive Mega-barge and its Jazzbarge flotilla that rolls across the sky from the direction of New York....
  89.
  90. 2. C-List Regeneration 3/10
  91.

  103.
  104. 2. Defunct Power Armor Factory 3/6
  105.
  106. 3. B-List Regeneration 6/15
  107.
  108. >>34312 - GENERIC
  109. 1. How hideously non-descript this CORE was. So non-descript all the video footage of it seems to be indecipherable gibberish...
  110.
  111. CORE Investigation ???/6
  112.
  113. 2. B-List Device Invention 13/15.
  114.
  115. 3. Paradox's soldiers conquer the last dregs of South Dakota, scouring the land for resources and scraps. They find little, but land is land.
  116.
  117. >>34314 - DARA
  118. 1/2/3. You scour the land and break apart several skeleton outposts, all in the name of hunting for that damnable Brass Baron... you soon realize you're a few states over from where you were before, however, much to your chagrin.
  119.
  120. B-List Physical Fitness 3/8
  121.
  122. >>34318 - ASH
  123. 1/3. You hungrily consume dropship after dropship, and those you can't fit into your skeletal maw you tear apart and fling to the ground in a savage fury.
  124.
  125. You see, out of the corner of your eyes, the metal samurai leap towards you, weapons bared, ready to tear into your form. You simply grow a pair of arms and grab him tightly, swallowing him whole in one go.
  126.
  127. He tasted delicious, to be sure, but almost immediately, you feel uneasy and ill...
  128.
  129. >>34192 - RANDOMPERSON
  130. You cackle as you tear out the mana stores from the magical skeletons in front of you. As one, they crumble and fall to their knees, their crystals ebbing away and turning an ugly purplish-pink. You feel their mana suffusing the ritual, your new body--
  131.
  132. And then, in a blinding flurry of shock and pain and sensation, you find yourself in the flesh-and-blood body of your previous host, now withered slightly due to the effects of the ritual.
  133.
  134. Standing before you is your new body-- what WOULD have been your new body-- lit up with a fearsome blue glow in its eyesockets. There is a maniacal cackle as it charges a nimbus of magical energy.
  135.
  136. "We thank you for the body. We will give you a gift, too.
  137.
  138. "A one-way ticket to your home plane."
