Match of the Mods

**WARNING THIS IS A LONG POST**

This story was created using the "Notes" app on my iPod touch. All characters within this story are from people posting there names on here: http://www.reddit.com/r/ultrahardcore/comments/2b2fxy/a_uhc_story/ also this story is fiction, do not be mad at me if I do something unrealistic, it's all just for fun :D

**Chapter 1 - The Announcment**

Silence fills the chat room, whispers hovering "Almost 100 people gathered here by Berg, what could this be about?". Suddenly the silence is broken by Berg speaking, "You may be wondering why I have gathered you all here today" he says.  "The mods and I have decided we shall host a little contest". Whispers flood through the chat room, "A contest?". "We shall be hosting a UHC match, with all of you in it, the winner will be crowned mod on the subreddit!".  Gasps fill the room, Berg continues, "Any one caught cheating in this match shall serve a year of UBL sentence." An eerie silence then swallows the chat room, Berg once again disrupts the silence, "It shall be a Vanilla FFA hosted tomorrow at 20:30 UTC, all of you are pre-wled" The chat room is then closed. Raven sits back in his chair, "How great would it be to be mod!" he thinks.

**Chapter 2 - Before the Match**

Word spread fast around the subreddit, people placing votes on who they think will win, people making art supporting the person they are rooting for, even sign ups to be specs for the game, there would be 5 streamers speccing, and under all the anticipation, there was some worrys. Honey wakes up that morning and checks his phone, "The game!" he remembers, he pulls on some clothes and eats breakfast, "4 hours until the game" he thinks as he consults his watch. Then a stroke of worry hits him, he knows he isn't the best at UHC, and he is frightened that his dark secret might be set loose, he is a x-rayer.

**Chapter 3 - The Scatter**

Kitro leans forwards towards the screen, the clock beside him ticking quickly, "Mod" he mouths over and over again. Then a TS message alerts him, "Join IP: 163.78.92.45:25565 in 15 minutes."
Kitro copies the IP into his direct connect box and puts a timer on for 15 minutes, then he browses the subreddit for a bit... 15 minutes past and Kitro joins the game, and discovers he was the last one arriving and the game would start soon... Oblivion flexes as he observes the starting area, parkour, PVP, "Very good" he thinks. Then he gets a invite to a chat room, he joins and hears Berg's voice fill his headphones, "Hello everyone! This is our big game! Let me run some things down with you all first, Towering is allowed, come down at MU of course, Golden Heads are on and they heal 4 hearts..." Once Berg is finished, someone shouts, "You forgot to tell us if we can BTC!". Everyone remains quiet until Klo says, "That was a horrible joke". Then Berg says, "Beginning the scatter!" And the call ends.

**Chapter 4 - The Start**

(During the game I will constantly be switching perspective, you will know the perspective changes if a new Paragraph starts.)


Eura looks at his starting area, pretty horrible, middle of a desert. He figures he can maybe find a village or a temple. Just then the freeze goes off and Eura sees something amazing in front of him, a village! Blacksmith and a Library too. He runs to the blacksmith and loots the chest, 5 obsidian, 6 iron ingots, and 1 iron chest plate, he then puts on the chest plate and loots the library, then the farms, then trades a stack of wheat with a villager for 4 emeralds, then spends 1 emerald on 8 melons, and another emerald on 5 apples. He then harvests wood and makes a iron sword and pick, and stone shovel and axe. He then adventures farther out to see a temple, he loots the TNT and finds 18 gold, 2 diamonds and some string. He then makes a enchantment table. He does a silent fist-pump and leaves the temple.

Raven spawns on a mountain peek, he climbs down, very carefully, and finds a forest, he gets wood and makes stone tools, he kills some cows and gets some apples, then he goes on a search for sugar cane... The sun is setting and he still hasn't found the sugar cane, he enters a cave in disappointment, but his sadness is washed when he eyes a spider spawner! He digs around the sides and loots the first chest, 1 saddle, 1 iron horse armor, 5 wheat and 1 string. He then carefully digs to the next chest, he loots that one too, 1 name tag, 7 iron, 2 buckets and 1.... golden apple!

Scot spawns in a jungle, "Unusual" he thinks and sets off making tools, he sees a desert at the end of the jungle and decides he doesn't care if be misses any villages, he doesn't wanna risk being starved in a desert. Then he harvests some melons, then he breaks a leaf block and uncovers a cave opening under the shrubbery, this expands into a massive cave full of iron, and it dips down all the way to y6. Scot is so focused on this cave, he forgets to get book materials and apples.

**Chapter 5 - PVP Enabled.**

Neo is in a mineshaft when he sees the broadcast "PVP Enabled" he regards it and keeps going, he spots a abandon mineshaft chest, he smiles, but right as he opens it, something poisons him, "Shit!" He yells and kills the cave spider. He is slowly dying... he is now sitting in a blocked off area with half a heart, shaking, he opens the chests and loots it, 5 diamond, 8 gold, and 1 pumpkin seed. "Well, now I'm basically a glass treasure box now" he grumbles. He walks down the hall and makes a right, the next thing he saw was a blur, but it all ended with **Neoscys was shot by Milen_**.

A flutter of "gg's" fill the chat as Milen proudly picks up the stuff, "Half a heart" he mutters as he crafts a golden head, and then makes a enchanting table with the diamonds, he enchants his armor, bow and sword. He does a level 8 enchantment on his sword and gets Fire Aspect 1, Sharpness 2. He proudly smiles with glee, thinking no one can stop him

**Chapter 6 - Justice**

Honey is up to 80 gold now, and is still finding more, he is pleased with his x-Ray mod, he smiles as he makes full prot 3 diamond armor. He decides to start looking innocent, by pretending to dig to sounds by hiding lava buckets in the walls, and then digging to ores, sometimes he'd staircase from above y32 to ores, to make it seem like luck, he avoided looking at walls aswell, and made sure he wasn't caught. He decides he would BTC to make sure it seemed realistic that he had full diamond, just then, while x-raying he notices a player, shifting, and digging down to his name, Honey shifts and decides to run away instead of killing him, because then it would be too obvious that he was x-raying, he staircases to the surface and starts heading towards a extreme hills biome, with his Forcefield on.

Berg then messages Joey, one of the streamers, "Can you spectate Honey_from_hell please? He has full diamond, pretty suspicious." His reply is "Already on it Berg".

Raven is pretty decked out, he found reeds on the second day and got diamond boots, he thought of nethering, but then remembered that Portal trapping is allowed. He was going to go check on his other furnace, but then spies a name
above him which makes him stop in his tracks. "Honey" he whispers.

Honey is happily gliding along, X-Ray enabled, looking for players underground, then he looks down and sees a player shifting, looking right at his name plate. He shifts right away and  starts digging down.

Joey is watching Honey dig down, "What is he digging to?" He asks. The stream comments start saying "No idea" "A player perhaps?" And other things like that. Joey turns on a X-ray texture pack, and then assures his viewers by saying, "This is only for purposes such as this" he then points out Raven shifting to the viewers of the stream. He then looks back at the footage, and Honey noticed Raven after he was shifted, added to the fact that he was full diamond and 80 gold, there was 1 thing left to do, he flies down above Honey and does /vanish, Honey suddenly whips his head up and starts hitting the flying JoeyKin. Joey then bans Honey for "Usage of a hacked client".

The UBL committee was watching the stream, and agrees to UBL Honey for 1 year, following Bergs orders.

**Chapter 7 - Skyhigh**

CMatt gazes down at 0,0 from his tower, that UBL sentence was proof to him that people are too desperate to be mod, but he was just playing for the fun of UHC. He then spies a player below him, he aims with his bow and rains a flurry of arrows down, the player then runs to a Taiga biome near by and towers on his own, CMatt tries to shoot him, but the player keeps making random pauses in his placing of blocks, making him nearly impossible to
shoot off.

Kauf finally completes his tower, "Woah", he thinks as he remembers how many arrows CMatt shot, he establishes a floor and takes a shot at CMatt, knocking him off.

CMatt has his water bucket in hand as he tumbles down to earth, "Please make this MLG" he thinks, he places the water and then is about to fall into it, but the next thing he knew was                       **CMatznes was shot by MrTeamRaven**

Kauf stares at Raven from his tower in utter confusion. He then snaps out of it and starts shooting Raven.

Raven is interrupted while he is trying to collect CMatts head by a arrow flying right at him, he sees someone in another tower and starts a bow fight.

One shot after the next Kauf continues shooting, he presses tab to see that Raven is at 8%! Kauf fires another shot and gleefully spies the message: **MrTeamRaven was shot by KaufKaufKauf**

**Chapter 8 - BTC**

Eura carefully makes himself a power 4 book. Eura has been BTCing all game after his amazing start. "Maybe I can get my Diamond chest plate to Prot 3" he thinks. He found this amazing cave after stair casing in the desert, though he presses F3 and sees "Jungle". He makes a pair of diamond boots and applies a protection 2 to them.

Scot has been stalking Eura for about 14 minutes, he saw his name 30 minutes in and only went for it after he got enchants, but now he is on hot pursuit... He is now very close to Eura and then sees him shift, "He must have heard me!" he thinks.

Eura hears stone breaking, then shifts. "Oh no" he says under his breath. Suddenly Eura gets a idea, he quickly smelts some stone and makes a stone pressure plate, then he makes a little trap. At the end of his cave he makes a staircase and then hides in a hole above the staircase, completely concealed, he put a sign at the bottom of the staircase saying "Goodbye Sucka!" And then hooked up his TNT to a trap.

Scot saw Eura unshift,  "Phew, he must have not heard me then!" He keeps digging and after a bit breaks into a cave, he sneakily creeps down it and sees a staircase. "Down there" he thinks and shifts down the staircase, makes a turn and sees a sign "Goodbye Sucka!" It says, and before he has time to react. **ScottishNutcase was blown up by Eurasianlynx**.

**Chapter 9 - Blood Bath**

Kauf skillfully took all the stuff down underground before sorting through it. After making 2 golden heads and getting better armor, he looks up at 0,0 he notices about 5 nametags!
He presses tab and watches their health go up and down. Then came the death messages.

There was a pause, Kauf was amazed, but then...

Kauf coughed, it was his opportunity to cleanup smeargle! He runs to the surface and sees smeargle sorting through items, just in time.

**Chapter 10 - The Final 5**

Berg puts out a broadcast saying: "5 players remain! You are: Eura, Milen, Kauf, Panic, and Kitro."

Panic smiles as he runs around burning a jungle.

Kauf gives a hearty laugh as he makes plenty of golden heads

Eura smiles as he cleans up his TNT mess

Milen happily sprints faster to 0,0

And Kitro stays put, in a dark corner, stalking Kauf.

**Chapter 11 - Kauf VS Kitro**

Kitro grins as he aims his bow at Kauf, then he fires.

Kauf gets hit, he whips around to see another arrow flying towards him, he dodges and makes a wall.

Kitro rushes forward towards Kauf's wall, he looks up to see Kauf towering, he shoots once, but misses.

Kauf is quickly towering up, a arrow strikes the block below him, alerting him to make walls, he makes a floor, and a block breaks as Kitro comes up.

Kitro gets into Kauf's base and goes for Kauf, they meet and Kauf strafes so perfectly Kitro only gets 2 hits on him but Kauf got him at half a heart.

Kauf is owning Kitro, but then Kitro hits him off the tower, tumbling downwards, Kauf pulls back his bow, and shoots Kitro.

Kauf looks down, he is still falling.

**Chapter 12 - Triple Battle**

Eura is digging up, after seeing Kauf and Kitro die, he has decided to go to 0,0.

Milen is running to 0,0 when he enters a desert. He runs through
it and sees a village. He smirks. He runs to the village and finds that everything is looted, he is about to leave when he finds a staircase beside the farm, he heads down it to find a long series of caves, and at the end of it all, he finds a staircase up, which has a player at the top.

Eura looks behind him, he sees Milen, scared out of his socks, he places a bunch of blocks in the staircase as he breaks out into the surface, which is a burning down jungle.

Milen fires a shot at Eura, but is stopped by a block that he placed. Milen runs up and breaks the blocks to see the staircase hit the surface, he comes up to a burning jungle where he sees Eura and Panic.

Panic is running through the jungle that he lit on fire, when he sees Eura arise from the ground, he starts shooting.

Eura is in a bow fight with Panic when he sees Milen come out of the staircase and shoots a shot at him, the arrow flies threw some fire and it lights Milen on fire, taking away almost half his health.

Milen quickly waters himself after that attack, but resumes the action afterwards, he hits a shot on Panic which alerts Panic about Milen.

Panic is in a bow fight with Eura, he is winning, then he gets shot from the side to see Milen, he climbs up a tree and watches Eura and Milen fight.

Eura is at low from Panic and is now fighting Milen.

**Chapter 13 - The Final Duel**

Milen whips around to face Panic after killing Eura, Panic ducks a shot and hits Milen once. Panic then sword rushes Milen and in a big battle of fire, swords and determination, Panic gets 2 hits on Milen...

**Chapter 14 - The Mod Ceremony**

Panic stands in the jungle smiling with glee, he is so happy he can't even control himself, all
the specs, streamers and ops unvanish around him and all the "gg's" and "Great work!'s" are making him feel warm inside.

Panic is tped to a fancy hall room where Berg and all the other mods are, with 2000 other players sitting in the stands, Berg goes up to Panic and says "You are now mod Panic, congratulations!". Everyone is cheering in the stands and Panic sits back in his chair and smiles the biggest smile he has ever done before.
