Xiaohan didn't really grow up in a "normal" family since his parents were usually never home. They were always working while he had to take care of his brother. His mother knew that he was feeling sad so whenever she would have free time, she would shower him and his brother in love. His parents always had to work so they could pay off the bills. Xiaohan believed that one day he could spend one day with his family, just one day. It didn't happen yet. His father was a bit crazy about school, always expecting good grades and such even though he was never home. Since Xiaohan was always sad about school and family related things, he would act differently in front of his friends so they wouldn't ask what's wrong. He doesn't like telling anything about his family so he had to act differently from his usual self.
