Reinforcement on the Current Username Filter

Dear Mojang,
I have sent in an email about this issue before, but I never actually dove into the issue as much as I wanted to. That is why I am sending you another email today. I am contacting you on this pressing issue because inappropriate names have become a prominent issue in this game and I plan on going into this deeper with you guys and hoping to push a change on your end that I think you and I both know will benefit Minecraft for the PC and push it in the right direction.

This game plays an important role in my life. Since September 13, 2015, I had the privilege to join the staff team on one of the largest minigame servers, Minecraft Central. All the way up to today I have achieved the highest position as an administrator. Part of my job is managing the Reports Team and every week there is a new number of users with inappropriate usernames. Some we issue a punishment to and others don't depending on the severity. I have spoke with the owners on this issue and we came to an agreement that we aren't the one responsible for this. That issue lies with you guys to handle.

As I said earlier, I have emailed you guys about this issue. Here is an excerpt from that email about the current username filter:

"Also, we do currently have a profanity filter for all names that are deemed to be offensive. Any offensive names can be reported to us and we will add them to the report to be considered. If the names are deemed to be offensive, they will be removed from use in the game."

I confidently say that the system you currently have is not effective to the degree that it should be. We cannot be responsible for this as it's only a single server. Even though the user is on our server does not mean we should be responsible for the In-Game Name they choose. It's not in our jurisdiction.

We punish a few users with such names each week. Here are a few:

These names are only a small fraction of what we deal with and have dealt with in the past year. We believe it is time for you guys to overlook your current filter on usernames as it's not that effective as you perceive it to be. Many people use different loopholes or bypasses to create the inappropriate name they want. That's the issue. That's where we believe things should be changed.

I speak on behalf of not just my personal opinions, but the staff team and community of Minecraft Central, and the large and expanding community of Minecraft PC itself. I believe it's time for change and change must come now. The scrutiny on the username filter will only benefit upon the system you currently have.
