- -HOW TO APPLY Kyu Hair Mod-
- 1.-First of all you want to locate your resources.assets file, located in "whatever/HuniePopData/resources.assets". I recommend backing it up since changes will be final and you might want to roll it back altogether.
- 2.-Run Unity Assets Editor (you can download it here: http://www.indiedb.com/games/7-days-to-die/downloads/unity-asset-editor)
- 3.-Once the interface for UAE starts, navigate to File->Open and open your resources.assets file.
- 4.-Now you will have to locate the tex files for each of the girls. These are easy to recognize since they're all either 16MB or 32MB in size. These are the indices for each of the girls (i don't think they change for each computer)
- Venus: 54
- Celeste: 62
- Aiko: 64
- Tiffany: 66
- Nikki: 67
- Momo: 69
- Beli: 79
- Lola: 83
- Kyu: 88
- Audrey: 92
- Jessie: 98
- Kyanna: 99
- 5.-Select the file, rightclick and choose Import. Now just choose the version you want and import the .dds file from the girl.
- UAE supports previews, so you can see how the texture looks. To see if it worked, click the "Show Alpha" button, which will enable transparencies. If the underwear becomes transparent in the preview when using this, the import worked correctly.
- 6.-Repeat this for whatever girls you want
- 7.-Save the .assets file, overwriting the one in HuniePopData/
- 8.-Run the game and enjoy.
- -I WANT TO CHANGE STUFF MYSELF-
- Well this is pretty braindead to do. .dds files is nothing more than a file with a bunch of textures which the game will draw on top of each other (nude sprite, then hair, eyes, clothes and stuff on top). By tinkering with the file and changing alpha you can make stuff fully transparent, a bit more seethrough or, if you're artistically talented, change the clothes or draw different things on top of the sprite (like pubic hair, for example).
- .dds files are directly editable by Photoshop provided you download the proper plugin. A quick google for .dds Photoshop should bring you to the page. It's important to save and open the tex files the same way the game uses them or you could crash it or have them not display properly.
- Now, the settings for Photoshop are the following:
- -When opening, Load Using Default Sizes and untick load MIP maps or load flipped vertically.
- -When saving, save with the following setting: http://i.imgur.com/FjDPkUg.png
- To make stuff invisible or appear again, just modify the Alpha channel. Go to channels in photoshop and activate the Alpha one. Anything that appears with a transparent red over it will be COMPLETELY transparent. You can only delete or color in the alpha channel. Coloring will make whatever you're changing transparent, whereas deleting will make it appear. You can use different transparencies in Photoshop to make things translucent or add effects (example, I made Aiko's stockings slightly more seethrough).
- That's all folks, enjoy and remember that Celeste a beste.
