mattress dressed with black and crimson bedclothes. A warm comforter of
black with a crimson scalpel and treble clef device wraps neatly around
the mattress, tucked in at all corners, and two blood-red pillows
accented by smaller cloth-of-gold cushions have been piled at the head
of the bed. Elegant calligraphy burnt into the side of the platform
