HBK comes out to the ring, takes a chair, and sits down.

"I assume you all want to know why I intervened in Bret Hart's match last night. Let me tell you a little story. Months ago, before Wrestlemania, I was going to challenge Bret Hart to a rematch. But I hesitated. I kept hesitating until I didn't have the chance anymore, and I was laid out in that ring by Vader and Bulldog. And after Bret Hart and I failed to beat Vader and the British Bulldog, I got angry. I kicked Bret. And I left. I left because I just wasn't feeling like myself, but since I've come back, I'm more myself than I ever was. At first, I thought it was Mick Foley that was dragging me down, that he made me weak. I was wrong. Hesitation made me weak. Waiting for the right time, and always saying "I'm not sure" or "Maybe later".

So when Ted DiBiase came to me and offered me a spot in Money In The Bank 2, I did not hesitate to accept. When he gave me that ref shirt, I did not hesitate to accept. And when he asked me to join Money Inc... I did not hesitate... to decline. Because I've already got powerful friends..."

Jericho smirked a bit before realizing that it was "friends", plural, and looking surprised and worried.

"I would like to announce, starting tonight, I am joining THE POWER TRIP! OH YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT!" Austin, Pillman, and HHH came down from gorilla as Jericho looked appalled at HBK.

"So, Bret, I'm never going to hesitate again, and if it's not the right time, I'LL MAKE IT THE RIGHT TIME! AND RIGHT NOW, I'M THINKING SUMMERSLAM IS THE TIME AND THE PLACE! BRET! I WANT YOU AGAIN! ONE ON ONE! AND I DON'T WANT ANOTHER IRON MAN MATCH WHERE VICTORY IS JUST A 3 COUNT AWAY! I DON'T EVEN WANT A SUBMISSION MATCH, WHERE YOU COULD JUST TAP OUT! I WANT TO HEAR YOU SCREAM IN FRONT OF ME AND EVERYBODY, THAT YOU GIVE UP! THAT YOU SURRENDER! IT'S 2 WORDS! IT'S 5 LETTERS! I! QUIT!"

Austin took the mic.

"AND THAT'S THE BOTTOM LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE, BECAUSE THE HEARTBREAK KID SAID SO! AND I THINK WE SHOULD START THIS NEW ERA OF POWER OUT WITH A BANG BY TAKING OUT THIS LITTLE CANADIAN PIECE OF CRAP RIGHT HERE!" Austin, HHH, and Pillman turned to Jericho, before HBK stopped them.

"Hey! He's with me. He's cool." Austin looked at Jericho, then at HBK.

"Well, if you're cool with him... then he's cool with us." HBK and The Power Trip posed together to end the segment as Jericho stood to the side, conflicted.
