Bio:
Jorne is a common-born son to a horse rancher and a Pegasus Rider in service to Angeborten rule, and had been fascinated and enthralled by the fantastic stories he was told of the warriors who rode Pegasi - many of them prominent nobles or figures of note - despite his own aversion of and poor handling of any kind of steed. He fared poorly assisting his father in his ranching duties, and was often rebuffed by his mother's steed, who seemed to prefer the company of his younger siblings.

Though he was too young to remember the rule of the now-captive Queen, he was privy in his younger years to the unease growing within his family and their communities following each Consort's short and bloodied rule, and was a prominent vessel for his mother's bitterness towards the volatile style of ruling and command that had caused her a debilitating injury, ultimately leading to her dismissal - a bitterness and distrust that continued to even Consort van der Dergen after he had assumed rule. She longed for her earlier days as a Rider, of the Queen's previous reign, and was thorough in imparting these values onto her children, despite her husband's aversion.

It was wanderlust, unease, and the inherited loyalty for the former rule of Queen Sophia that led Jorne to seek the paltry, rebellious ranks of the Royalists roughly seven years ago, carrying nothing with him but the rusting remnants of his mother's armor - welding its former scarlet-backed emblem with bronze upon the chest of his own armor. Even if the rest of it sees rust and damage, the silver trees are always polished.
